Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint an experienced Fundraising Manager.
 
We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to drive forward relationship building and income generation across all income streams, especially Individual Giving including appeals and major donors, Corporates, Trusts & Foundations and Legacies.

You will collaborate across the Trust to develop innovative and compelling funding proposals, delivering excellent stewardship to existing donors, and identifying, researching and engaging new prospects. You will ensure continuous improvement and innovation and an appropriate balance of fundraising activity across all streams, evaluating new ideas for income generation and strategies for implementation. 

Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and Engagement you will develop the Fundraising Strategy, and as a member of the Extended Leadership Team, will be the lead for driving forward sustainable fundraising activity in collaboration with colleagues.
 
A compelling and engaging communicator, you’ll be adept at managing a portfolio of donors at different stages – from prospecting and cultivation through to ask, stewardship and retention, working at all levels of the Trust to achieve ambitious fundraising targets. 

You must have substantial experience working in a senior fundraising position with a natural talent for building positive relationships both internally and externally, developing a fundraising team and growing a mixed fundraising portfolio. The role holder will have experience in using the latest social media trends and developments in order to manage and grow online communities and to engage as well as implementing digital plans that expand our reach, impact and income.

The Role:

Hospice UK has an exciting new fundraising strategy with a focus on digital fundraising and supporter journeys. We are looking to significantly increase our engagement with new and existing supporters across all areas of fundraising. The Digital Fundraising and Engagement Executive will be responsible for maximising income, supporter recruitment and retention through digital channels, for both individual giving and events.

Reporting into the Head of Events & Supporter Engagement and working very closely with the External Affairs team you will deliver a cohesive and impactful approach to digital fundraising and supporter journeys. The Digital Fundraising and Engagement Executive will lead on recruitment and stewardship for a number of third-party challenge events as well as supporting on the optimisation of integrated digital campaigns and donor journeys.

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate a background in digital fundraising (1-2 years’ experience) and an understanding of supporter journeys and social media advertising. Some understanding of SEO would be desirable but you would not need to be an expert in this area.

The Team:

The Events and Supporter Engagement team forms part of the wider Income Generation and Grants Directorate. The team’s focus is on raising funds from individuals through challenge and special events, digital fundraising, giving in memory, legacy giving, regular and payroll giving and one off donations.

The team is made up of 5 people (including this role), who work closely together to help achieve our goals. The wider Income Generation and Grants team consists of 20 people in total. We meet regularly through team meetings and coming together in the office on a Tuesday, which helps to create a supportive working environment.

About the opportunity

Duties and responsibilities

Manage the Fundraising Coordinator to ensure places are secured, participants are supported and engagement is expanded.
 

· Work with  Fundraising Coordinator for Campaigns, Events and Individual Giving to build Action Tutoring’s income generated from individual giving, developing campaigns for driving more regular giving and building our strategies to cultivate, engage and thank individuals. 
 

· Act as a system manager for fundraising platforms, databases and tools including Just Giving and the Giving Block, with support from Fundraising Coordinators.
 

· Oversee the development of the fundraising area of the website and fundraising pack to attract new funders and fundraisers to the charity, with support from the Fundraising Coordinators.
 

· Manage the Fundraising Coordinators, ensuring they are growing and developing, and that work load is shared fairly. 
 

· Represent Action Tutoring at relevant meetings and events.
 

· Alongside your team, prepare applications for corporate funding opportunities identified by the Corporate Partnerships Team.

Person specification

This role requires an ambitious, passionate and determined individual with outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Alongside your team you will be responsible for writing and submitting grant applications and reports, so an excellent understanding of the English language and a keen eye for detail are crucial for success within this position. Working to deadlines and line-managing three Fundraising Coordinators, exceptional time-management, prioritisation and organisation skills are essential. With a focus on developing our individual giving strategies, we’re looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal skills. 
 

Qualifications criteria:

· A*-C in maths and English at GCSE (or equivalent experience).

Arts Emergency, a mentoring charity and support network aiming to address the inequalities in the creative and cultural sectors, is looking for an experienced and motivated fundraiser to provide leadership and management for fundraising activities. 

Since 2013, Arts Emergency has been providing 16-25 year olds in London, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and beyond with a trained mentor working in their field of interest. Mentors help Young Talent set goals, explore their passions and make decisions about higher education, training and careers.  After they complete a year of mentoring, Young Talent can continue to access opportunities, advice, resources and paid work from the Arts Emergency Network until they turn 26. This position will be responsible for raising the necessary income to ensure Arts Emergency’s high-quality, person focused, asset-based services for young people are sustainably funded and can

Introduction

The Prison Reform Trust (PRT) was founded in 1981 to inform public debate and improve prison conditions and the treatment of prisoners, amidst concerns about a projected prison population of 48,000 by 1984. Fast forward to today, the prison population in England and Wales is almost 87,000 and is projected to rise to 106,300 by March 2027. We overuse prison for non-violent and persistent crime, and we choose to send people to prison for a long time, and it continues to grow.

Our mission is clear. We are working to create a just, humane and effective prison system by influencing decision-makers opinion formers and the public to 1) reduce the use of prison; 2) Improve conditions for prisoners and, 3) promote equality and human rights in the criminal justice system.

Income in 2023 was £2.06 million, with most of our income portfolio reliant on trusts and foundations. We have just been through a strategic development period and as a part of that we have uncovered significant untapped potential for philanthropic and relational based income growth. We are now seeking a newly designed, ‘Head of Fundraising and Philanthropy’ to lead the whole fundraising programme, but with a specific focus on developing the philanthropy and corporate programme to take Prison Reform Trust to the next level.

You will be a seasoned relational fundraiser, have entrepreneurial flair, be creative and have the ability to influence at the highest of levels. Refugee Legal Support works in solidarity with people who migrate. We operate in the UK, France and Greece, promoting and protecting rights through legal support, casework, engagement, training and partnerships. The role

Our recent growth and ambitious plans for the future mean that RLS needs to raise more sustainable funding than ever before. The new Fundraising Officer role will be central to this, playing a key role in the future of the organisation. 

You’ll work closely with the Fundraising Lead to secure the financial support to allow the organisation to thrive and fight alongside more people who need our legal support. 

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Researching, identifying and pursuing funding opportunities: you’ll proactively seek out and apply for funding opportunities to maximise income from trusts, foundations, and other relevant sources.

• Funder relationship management: you’ll build and nurture relationships with existing and potential funders, ensuring their continued support and engagement with our cause.

• Reporting and budget management: you’ll work with the Fundraising Lead to prepare detailed reports on fundraising activities, monitor progress against targets, and design budgets that align with our strategic goals.

• Drafting communications: you’ll draft compelling communications and fundraising materials, utilising your excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage donors and stakeholders.

• Supporting and leading other fundraising initiatives: you’ll contribute to the development and execution of various fundraising strategies, including individual giving and major donor engagement, to diversify and strengthen our funding base.

About Northorpe Hall Child & Family Trust

We are a charity based in Kirklees, West Yorkshire with a commitment to working with and supporting children and young people under the age of 25 who are facing disadvantage in their lives. 

A large part of our work involves supporting the mental and emotional health of children and young people including supporting families where this will positively impact on young people’s mental health and well-being.

The role

This is a pivotal and exciting new role, with huge scope and freedom to diversify and generate income for the Trust.  You will be responsible for building up a strong and sustainable supporter base by working with a range of funders including trusts, foundations and corporate sponsors, building and maintaining relationships that last.

About the role 
We are looking for someone who wants to make a real and lasting difference to people’s lives, taking the lead on generating the income required to deliver the Farm’s services and maintain our central functions and infrastructure. With support from the Farm’s Director, who is an experienced fundraiser, you will develop and implement the fundraising strategy for the Farm, leading on the delivery of key activities, initiatives and opportunities. 

You will confidently take on the leadership of the Farm’s well-established fundraising from trusts and foundations, growing our unrestricted income base and attracting multi-year funding to support our projects. Your experience will also enable you to take the lead on establishing a new individual giving programme for the Farm, creating and implementing a stewardship strategy alongside the Marketing, Events & Communications Operational Manager. We anticipate that the postholder will spend 75% of their time managing and growing our existing trusts and foundations portfolio and 25% on building a new individual giving programme. We are looking for someone with experience (or demonstrable transferable skills and knowledge) and a willingness to work on both areas. 

As a member of the Farm’s Leadership Team, you will work closely with the Director and Operational Managers to ensure that our fundraising strategy enables us to deliver against our objectives, as well as supporting project managers and other staff to contribute to the development of relevant fundraising opportunities.

Job Purpose:

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of the Charity operations. This role is the first point of contact for supporters and requires outstanding customer care/ donor stewardship skills. The post holder is expected to foster excellent working relationships with all members of the Charity team, donors – both existing and potential – and Trust staff. This role will provide support to the fundraising team and with HR processing for the Charity, whilst also supporting with our hospital and online shop.  

Main Duties/Tasks

Fundraising & Office duties

Undertake day to day administrative tasks as directed by the Fundraising & People Team Leader and Senior Team, including the preparation of letters, reports and memos, ensuring the work is of a high standard, professional and accurate. Adhering to sensitive information protocols and keeping sensitive information confidential.

Deal with all incoming telephone enquiries in a professional and helpful capacity and direct all incoming calls correctly and take accurate messages. Adhere to any confidential or sensitive information protocols.

Contribute to the efficient running of the public Charity office by receiving all donors and visitors in a welcoming and friendly manner.

Provide excellent customer care/ donor stewardship in all interactions with donors.

Manage the mail, ensuring it is opened, distributed and any donor correspondence is responded to in a timely manner.

Process donations in line with established receipting procedures.

Adhere to audit procedures and liaise with the Charity’s auditors.

Carrying out filing in line with office procedures and ensuring the safe storage and archiving of documents/records on a regular basis.

Provide support to the senior management team, including organising and scheduling meetings and room bookings.

Undertake banking procedures and ensure donations are accurately recorded and banked.  

Hospital & Online Shop

Process online orders for the shop in a timely manner.

Run regular reports for the Fundraising & People Team Leader relating to online sales.

Support the management of the online and hospital shop, ensuring they are stocked, and products are displayed in the best way.

Provide good customer service within the shop inside the hospital Atrium.

Cash up the till, ensuring sales are correctly recorded and takings are passed through for banking.  

Database support

Process donations on the CRM database, liaising with fundraising teams to ensure this is recorded correctly, including from online platforms.

Produce analytical reports from the fundraising database system, for audit purposes.

HR support

Provide HR administrative support within the areas of:

· Recruitment, including coordinating the recruitment process and the induction of new starters;

· Ensuring all staff have a DBS in line with the Trust requirements;

· Administration of staff annual leave allowance and absence reporting;

· Creating staff correspondence letters, including pay award, furlough or other required communication; and

· Attending and minuting HR meetings where required.

Other Duties

Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation.

Be an active and supportive member of the Alder Hey Children’s Charity team, contributing to the team’s development and working collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers. Attend and support on events run by the fundraising teams where required.

The charity is currently conducting a four-day working week trial, due to end on 30th September 2024. Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federal corption of over 170 organisations which provide just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. Purpose of the Senior Corporate Fundraising Officer role:   

As Senior Corporate Fundraising Officer, the successful candidate will play an integral role in the implementation and maintenance of a rolling programme of prospect identification, research and the nurturing of relationships. Leading on maximising support through the corporate fundraising streams, the post holder will draft and submit applications among other approaches to prospective funders and donors. • Line managing one team member 

• To be responsible for a portfolio of prospective and existing corporate supporters to solicit large donations, funding and ensure meaningful partnerships are created 

• Work to match funders aims with Women’s Aid’s vision, purpose and mission – using creativity and innovation to package up relevant areas of Women’s Aid work and strategy to be appealing to funders
