As Communications and Fundraising Assistant, you will play a particularly prominent role in telling the story of what Charity funding makes possible at King’s – generating high quality content to communicate the difference we’re making, and helping our communications officer to bring it to life it on our digital channels. It will suit somebody who uses social media extensively in their personal life and can draw on that insight to help the team connect with our audiences.
Key Tasks
- Working with the Communications Officer to create content for websites, digital platforms, social media, email campaigns and other channels. This includes the Trust’s Inside King’s magazine as well as our own channels. It could involve interviewing staff, patients and volunteers, creating films, taking photographs.
- Organising, distributing and updating the Charity’s marketing materials around the Trust, including posters, leaflets and banners.
- Helping to maintain the Charity’s social media presence, creating and scheduling engaging content across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, producing analytics reports and using insights to inform future strategy.
- Developing our use of Sharepoint as an internal communications channel, and maintaining the Charity’s presence on the King’s staff intranet.
- Helping the Communications Officer keep our website fresh and engaging, identifying key user journeys and supporting colleagues across the charity to use the website to achieve business goals.
- Acting as a champion for the Charity’s work by attending regular events and assist in delivering internal engagement opportunities, such as fundraising events, celebrations, and so on.
- Generating reports on the team’s KPIs across all digital platforms, helping to improve user journeys across our digital platforms.
- Keeping communications and fundraising systems running smoothly, including the media library, filing systems, budget, and planning and reporting processes.

Person Specification
- Experience of working or volunteering in marketing or communications in a professional environment.
- Experience of supporting an organisation’s digital presence across social media, website, email marketing and internal channels.
- Extensive personal experience of using social media platforms
- Understanding of basic digital analytics tools and processes, such as Google Analytics.
- Experience of creating communications and marketing content and materials in adherence with brand guidelines.

Fundraising Manager

Responsibilites:
Fundraising – General
- To deliver a continuous fundraising operation to meet the short, medium and long-term revenue needs of the charity as determined by the CEO and Board of Trustees
- Establish and maintain positive relationships across the organisation and an in-depth understanding of the charity’s needs and priorities to ensure your fundraising activity contributes positively
- Development and maintenance of key resources to support our fundraising activity, including case for support, programme schedule and budgets
- To develop corporate sponsorship proposals and be prepared to respond promptly to funding offers and opportunities
- To steward regular donors, ensure they receive appropriate thanks and are kept informed
- Develop strategy to increase number of regular donors through the implementation of a regular giving programme
- Grow and manage the regular donors’ scheme, Payroll Giving, In-Memory giving, and appeals, contributing to the overall fundraising strategy.

Fundraising – Trusts & Foundations

- Cultivate relationships with prospects and identify appropriate projects or areas of CHN’s work to meet their criteria, developing tailored, persuasive funding proposals
- Deliver first-class grant management – taking responsibility for all requirements of funders including impact reporting, financial monitoring and reporting
- Ensure robust and practical monitoring and evaluation plans are in place to demonstrate the impact of grants you manage and report effectively to funders
Relationship Management
- Provide excellent stewardship and supporter care to regular donors
- Produce and deliver tailored engagement plans to deepen and grow CHN donor relationships
- Build and maintain strong internal relationships across the charity to ensure the delivery of CHN’s obligations to our funders
- Represent CHN at events and networking opportunities as required
Events
- Create plan and oversee and work events with the help of a Fundraising/Community Engagement Assistant

General
- Manage and provide relevant training for the Fundraising/Event Assistant/Officer

Person Specification:

Community Fundraising and Communications Engagement Assistant
£22,500 to £26,000 (FTE dependent on experience). Responsible to the Fundraising Manager and Marcomms Manager. Two days per week (worked over three days if preferable. Based at Jecca’s House
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation, planning, setting up and working at fundraising and community awareness events
- Face to face community work in the form of hosting coffee mornings and fundraising/engagement events

MARCOMMS/Fundraising – General

Person Specification
- You will be highly organised, used to working in a fast-paced and autonomous environment and need to be able to plan ahead.
- You will be proactive, flexible, creative, resilient and able to plan ahead.
- Flexibility is key as this role will require evening and weekend work, time will be given in lieu for hours worked in this situation
- Computer literate as there will be database and design tools such as Canva to use
- A team player as you will work with the Fundraising Manager and Communications Manager. Prioritisation is second nature.
- You will be confident using social media, and objective and flexible in the way you use the tools and platforms available.
- Experience using CRMs is desirable but not essential.
- This role can be physical – the successful candidate will be involved in setting up and closing of events which may entail some heavy moving and carrying.

The role is fully remote and is covering the Facebook page of up and coming community fundraising event.

The Corporate Team at ARUK has just enjoyed a record-breaking year of fundraising by our corporate partners. We require a proactive and organised colleague to provide the team with vital administrative support.
The successful candidate will support our partnerships with companies such as Dyson, The Perfume Shop, Cadbury, and Slimming World while building excellent relationships with supporters from within those organisations. This role will also support our new business team with their approaches to prospective companies.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract, or on return of the substantive post holder, to cover a secondment period.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Team administrative support
· Provide general administrative support for all members of the team.
· Manage invites and room bookings for Corporate Team meetings.
· Ensure accurate recording keeping through the use of our CRM system.
· Be the main internal point of contact for the Corporate Team.
· Respond to incoming team enquires promptly and professionally.
· Ensure accurate financial records are kept, by reconciling gifts across multiple donation platforms.
· Fundraising stock management and distribution.
· Assisting the team with event planning, including sourcing pricing quotes, raising purchase orders and booking equipment and ordering merchandise.
· Update the team intranet and website pages.

Securing new partnerships

Supporting our existing partnerships

Including making sure they have the materials and resources required to fundraise – preparing and sending information packs, wishing them good luck, drafting letters, and sending thank you messages.
· Work closely with the Central Fundraising Team to ensure a consistent stewardship journey across all audiences.
· Manage online giving pages and our CRM system to make sure corporate supporters are identified and recorded correctly, and their income potential is maximised.
· Monitor the CRM system to make sure that all information about our corporate fundraisers is recorded correctly.
· Filter enquiries from our corporate supporters whilst the Partnership Development Officers are on annual leave to ensure a timely and helpful response.
· Help support event delivery by sourcing volunteers, merchandise, and gifts in kind for events.
· Keep the Partnership Development Officers and Team Managers up to date on feedback from supporters.
· Communicate key fundraising products and communications designed for our Corporate supporters with the Regional team.
· Develop new fundraising idea packs to engage our Corporate supporters and seek appropriate sign off.
Working with others
· Work with our merchandising team for the development and production of event materials as required.
· Liaise with our distribution centre to organise mass mailings of materials needed for pitches and large partnership launches and events.
· Represent the Corporate Partnerships team on working groups for internal projects to ensure the team’s needs are met.
· Work closely with our Supporter Care Team, Central Fundraising Team and Insight & Development teams to make sure that the Corporate Partnership team is following processes correctly and is adopting improved practices where possible.

Responsibilities:
Product and Project Management

Ideally, you will be someone with a real drive and a passion for charity fundraising. Who is digitally focused, driven by insight and understands the importance of great stewardship experience.
You'll have experience in a range of fundraising activities including virtual events. Senior Community and Events Fundraiser, an excellent opportunity to join a long-standing regional Hospice, with Head Office based in Surrey area.
- This role can be either Full-Time (37.5 hours a week) or Part-Time (30 hours a week).
- Hybrid working pattern, with a min of 3 days office based for Full-Time hours.
- Salary; Full-Time - £35,000 per annum. Part-Time - £28,000 per annum.

As the Senior Community and Events Fundraiser, you will work with the Community and Events Lead, and be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the community and events fundraising plans and activities. You will managing a varied portfolio of events, including third party, challenges and bespoke. Along with engaging with the community to develop and implement plans for maximising income and support from individuals, groups and businesses.
Key Responsibilities for ensuring the delivery of community and events fundraising plans and activities:
- Manage, achieve and where possible exceed Community and Events income targets, taking a lead for specific projects, activities and events.
- Support the Community and Events Lead, contributing to the development of annual plans and budgets.
- Project manage challenge events (e.g. London Marathon, bike rides, skydives etc.), liaise with third-party organisers, participant recruitment and participant support.
- Work with other teams across Fundraising and MarComms to market and promote fundraising products, activities and events.
- Organise events, including liaison with venues, suppliers, monitoring expenditure, volunteers and participants and ensure all preparation is complete.
- Ensure an excellent level of supporter care and stewardship with supporters is maintained and developed.
- Provide regular reports and information about activities, supporters and volunteers.
- Line management of a Community and Events Fundraising Assistant.
To be successful in this Senior Community and Events Fundraiser role, you will have gained skills and experiences in the following areas;
- Previous experience working in fundraising in either a community, challenge or mass participant event capacity.
- Experience of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with individual fundraisers/supporters and/or, managing fundraising events.
- Experience of working to budgets, targets and plans.

Duties and key responsibilities:
Office Maintenance
- Oversee the general maintenance of the office.
- Manage office supplies by tracking office inventory and replenishing supplies including kitchen and stationery.
- Ensure the office and meeting rooms are well-maintained.
- Manage Sarcoma UK storage, ensuring it is fit for purpose.
- Liaise with office contractors and service providers to ensure the office runs efficiently.
- Assist with office refurbishments, expansions, and relocations.
Administration
- Be the first point of contact for all enquiries to our telephone switchboard and info@ mailbox, responding in a timely manner to all enquiries and delegating across the team where relevant.
- Manage the daily postal system including opening post and recording donations on the finance spreadsheet.
- Managing deliveries to the office and organising couriers.
- Organise travel and accommodation bookings across the whole charity including fundraising events.
- Organise travel, meetings and staff attendance at events including the British Sarcoma Group conference.
- Make any bookings and arrangements for the team that involve financial transactions, for example booking travel, conferences, training courses, flowers for supporters and event purchases.
- Provide meeting room management, including bookings and catering.
- Carry out ad hoc administrative tasks for other departments when requested e.g. fundraising and information send outs during busy periods or absence.
Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, maintaining a safe working environment in the office. This
- Regular health and safety inspections of the office and workstations.
- Carry out regular DSE tests
- Arranging regular PAT tests
- Cary out fire risk assessments (training will be provided)
- First aid assistance and maintain the first aid supplies (training will be provided)
- Review and update the health and safety policy.
Other
- Support the operations team when required, this will include finance, database, and HR functions.
