We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, solution focussed finance professional to join our central team as Finance Manager. Used to taking day to day transaction processing in your stride, you’ll use your experience to support preparation of the management accounts and be part of ensuring that we have the business information needed for decision making across the charity. Hours: Part-time - 21 hours per week (Flexible working and hybrid working considered with at least one day per week in the office required)

•         You will maintain and update standard operating procedures for processing applications.
•         You will provide general office administration including replenishing office supplies.

Any other duties

•         You will service and attend AGM and other meetings of PAG, as required.

Role purpose

This role would suit someone with at least 2 years’ experience in a charity finance role, who has experience or knowledge of all the core accounts department processes and some understanding of different charity income streams. You might be studying for an accounting qualification (e.g. AAT or ACCA) or be qualified by experience.

Responsibilities

• Day to day management and systems administration of Xero accounting software, expenses software (ExpenseIn), and other linked financial applications.
• Carry out monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, debtors and creditors, and set up payment runs.
• Prepare monthly management accounts journals (prepayments, accruals, depreciation, deferred and accrued income) and control account reconciliations.
• Being the systems administrator for the Fundraising CRM system (Donorfy) and linked platforms and applications (e.g. JustGiving, Stripe, EventBright).
• Database management of Donorfy and linked platforms and applications.
• Reconcile data between Donorfy and Xero, and where necessary, with other linked platforms and applications.
• Ensure Gift Aid returns are correctly submitted to HMRC (via Donorfy)
• Support with the development and implementation of new systems and procedures.
• Provide training and induction to new joiners in using Donorfy and ExpenseIn as well as for any other relevant platforms and applications.
• Business partnering - provide day to day support to the wider organisation with finance and fundraising system queries, payment information, and supplier queries.
• Working with budget holders to provide transaction reports, income and expenditure reports, and updates on payments from finance and fundraising systems to assist them to manage their project budgets.

About this key role

This role is an exciting opportunity for a candidate experienced in working with case studies and storytellers who can efficiently manage a range of different stories sensitively and with confidence. If successful, you will lead the Samaritans case study function, support the organisation with its handling of real life stories and manage the relevant systems and processes.

We know that in sharing personal stories we can help others who are struggling find courage to seek help. We can tackle the stigma surrounding suicide. Key Roles and Duties

In this exciting role you will be responsible for raising unrestricted income from individuals by planning and executing the day-to-day campaigns to recruit, engage and retain supporters through a range of channels.

More specifically this will include:

Strategic Planning and Implementation

Plan, lead, implement, and evaluate strategies to:

• Increase individual gifts through enhancing the donor journey.
• Boost the monthly giving 'thrive fund' programme.
• Develop new individual giving campaigns with a focus on direct marketing across various channels.

Donor Data Analysis and Segmentation

Analyse and segment the supporter base to develop targeted supporter journeys and ask strategies, using donor data from our CRM (Salesforce) to:

• Maximise the lifetime value of donors.
• Ensure effective use of supporter data for campaign purposes.

Stewardship and Donor Engagement

Manage donor stewardship to provide personalised and engaging communications, including:

• Producing supporter materials.
• Building a thanking programme that offers a personal and engaging donor experience.
• Collaborating with colleagues to identify individual stories for impactful campaign content.
• Ensure all activities and contacts are managed through the charity’s CRM system.
• Maximise gift aid opportunities.

Campaign and Material Management

Work closely with the Communications Manager to:

• Create campaigns.
• Generate publicity opportunities e.g. radio, newspaper, online etc.
• Engage ambassadors and campaign specific ambassadors.
• Collect and draft beautiful stories, testimonies and case studies that engage supporters.
• Manage the production of supporter materials.
• Assist in developing Mailchimp email marketing and analyse and evaluate user journeys to maximise impact.

 Innovation and Market Trends

Lead the charge in:

• Coming up with new ideas and initiatives to bolster individual giving.
• Managing a continuous cycle of testing for new channels and techniques for acquisition and retention, based on audience insight and sector trends.

 General:

• Collaborate and communicate well with team members and particularly line manager. 
• We are a small dynamic team; the post holder will work over many areas offering lots of opportunity to work with staff in different departments and learn about the different aspects of charity.

Role Requirements

We are looking for the right person to join the team – this could be someone with experience or someone who is willing to learn and has a strong transferrable skill set.

You will have:

• Effective campaign copy writing and ability to translate ideas into design briefs.
•  A minimum level of skill in graphic design (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, Canva). 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with diverse audiences in friendly and welcoming way in keeping with WONDER’s approach to empowerment.

Desirable skills and experience:

•  Experience of income generation from direct marketing campaigns (acquisition and/or retention) across a variety of digital channels for acquisition and retention.

• Experience of using databases for targeting, segmentation, testing and response analysis and how to apply these learnings to future campaigns.

About the role:

As the Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser you will use your core knowledge and skill to reflect on strategy, relationship building and leading our charitable profile and income streams.

About The Role

• Provide continual training and compliance monitoring support to our Face to Face partners in the execution of all door, private Sites and events fundraising, this includes leading on developing new opportunities in conjunction with St John events.
• Oversee and collaboratively work with our Telephone Fundraising partners on their training and compliance of all deliverables such as welcome calls, upgrades, reactivations and other fundraising campaigns – includes caller listening
