Overview of role:
The Toy Appeal Campaign Assistant plays a vital role in helping to coordinate Family Action’s Christmas Toy Appeal campaign -
· You will liaise with companies, groups, our services and partner charities to ensure the timely delivery of over 10,000 toys and gifts to disadvantaged children and young people
· You will be the first point of contact for the Toy Appeal, responding to enquires from organisations wishing to take part in the appeal, and internal colleagues receiving gifts.
What’s it like working with us?
This role sits within our small but high achieving fundraising team which was Shortlisted for Fundraising Team of the Year 2021 at the Third Sector Awards. The Team sits within our Directorate of Development and External Affairs, alongside our communications and brand, digital, business development and impact and influencing teams. Our role is to raise voluntary and some statutory funding for Family Action.
In the case of corporate, community and events fundraising, this means a mix of restricted and unrestricted funding. The team is well supported in our work by the Senior Leadership Group and Executive Group (Directors). The Corporate Partnerships team, comprising this role, three Corporate Partnerships Managers, Fundraising Administrator and the Head of Corporate Partnerships. The team works closely with colleagues across brand, communications and digital, with activity integrated into organisation-wide Christmas campaign.

Bookmark began life just over five years ago with a clear mission; they want every child to read. Currently more than one in four children are leaving primary school unable to read well. About the role
As the Senior Philanthropy Lead at Bookmark, you will work with the Head of Fundraising to manage and grow our philanthropy portfolio within the wider strategy. You will lead a team of three to deliver on the fundraising strategy, line managing both the Philanthropy Manager and Senior Fundraising Executive. Your role will involve proactively researching and identifying new potential Bookmark major donors and working with trustees, staff, and the Partnerships Board to build a robust pipeline of supporters and secure introductions.
You will own and build a portfolio of new major donors through the full donor cycle who give £25,000 or more, ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey. You will create compelling, relevant, and tailored funding proposals, reports, and collateral to inspire and inform donors, reflecting Bookmark's strong brand. You will lead on the Philanthropy events strategy and program, providing support to the Philanthropy Manager and wider team in delivering income-generating, cultivation, and stewardship events.
In addition, you will work closely with the Corporate Partnerships team to ensure opportunities to maximize income for the fundraising team. You will devise and deliver annual plans, together with associated budgets, in line with the charity's strategic objectives. You will use Salesforce to manage the accurate recording and forecasting of major donor income, enabling efficient reporting and KPI management.
About you
To be successful in this role, you must have a successful track record in high-value fundraising and acquisition, including a proven track record of securing five or six-figure gifts to meet or exceed targets. You must have experience line managing individuals, nurturing their development, and managing their performance to achieve results. Ideally, you will have experience developing and managing a calendar of successful charity events that meet fundraising targets and managing or working with a fundraising board or high-value committee. You should have the skills to influence, motivate and persuade people to donate and experience writing successful, inspiring, emotive, and technically accurate cases for support and proposals tailored to a major donor audience.
You should be experienced in growing and managing a pipeline, planning for your portfolio, and increasing income.

The role
The Corporate and Individual Giving Manager is responsible for generating sustainable income by identifying, engaging with, and securing funding through individuals and corporate donor relationships.
Establishing sustainable fundraising streams is a top priority for the centre. This role will play a crucial part in strengthening our strategy for Individual and Corporate Giving, with a keen focus on continuous growth. The Executive & HR Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring that BRAC’s office in Europe operates efficiently and effectively to deliver its mission to support BRAC’s work. It is a broad role encompassing administrative, human resources, team internal comms, and governance support to the London office, reporting directly to the Executive Director but also working very closely with the wider senior management team and our board of trustees.
The European office is a small, dynamic and enthusiastic team, whilst very much part of the larger global BRAC family of organisations. About Myaware
Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people living with myasthenia.
Myasthenia means muscle weakness. The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions including myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia, Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome and congenital myasthenic syndrome.
· We work to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition.
· We provide support services for people living with myasthenia and their families. These include welfare advice, online support groups and webinars, social media peer support groups and support and information via telephone and email.
· We raise vital awareness and campaign for better medical services for people with myasthenia and work to inform medical professionals.
· Myaware funds research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors.
About the role
The Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic guidance and oversight, ensure operational efficiency and sustainability, and maintain the organisation's commitment to serving the myasthenia community.
Your responsibilities in the role will include:
· Advising and working with the Chair and Trustees on the strategic direction of the charity and implementing board decisions,
· Leading by example and embodying Myaware values of respect, passion, collaboration, integrity and sustainability,
· Networking across the sector and raising the profile of the charity and people living with myasthenia across the nations where Myaware operates,
· Delivering effective management and administration of the organisation,
· Leading a fantastic team of colleagues, supporting their work and development and displaying emotional intelligence and leadership.
· Providing a clear vision and promoting the mission, aims and objective of Myaware and leading delivering the budget, an ambitious fundraising strategy and organisational direction.
Location: Remote, with regular attendance at offices in Derby
Salary: £50-55K dependent on experience
Reports to: Chair and Board of Trustees
Holiday: 36 days including statutory bank holidays
Pension: 5% employer contribution
