World Child Cancer is seeking an experienced corporate and philanthropy fundraiser to join our growing team and play a vital role in improving the chances of survival and quality of life of children with cancer in under-resourced countries.

About World Child Cancer

Over 400,000 children worldwide develop cancer each year. Childhood cancer is most often curable, with over 80% survival rate in high income countries. However, in many low-and-middle-income countries survival rates are often 25% or lower.

World Child Cancer’s goal is to help redress that inequity and improve the chances of children with cancer to survive and thrive in under-resourced countries. We currently work with local hospitals in 12 countries in Africa, Asia and Mexico to enable children with cancer to have equal access to the best possible treatment and care through awareness raising on signs of childhood cancer, providing financial, logistical and emotional support to address barriers to access treatment, training of healthcare workers and advocacy.

Overview of the role

This newly created Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager role will play a key part in raising income from companies and philanthropists to help achieve World Child Cancer’s mission.

You will be passionate about enabling children with cancer to have equitable access to quality treatment wherever they are born. We are looking for someone experienced in corporate and philanthropy fundraising, who is proactive, confident in engaging with high value funders, able to develop strong internal and external relationships, has strong verbal and written communication skills, a collaborative way of working and experience in developing new business.

You will join a small but ambitious and high performing team that contributes significantly to World Child Cancer’s annual income of c. £2m.

Reporting to: Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships

Location: UK-based hybrid role: Home working for the time being, with the provision for regular meetings in the office. Office attendance encouraged on Mondays (nr Fenchurch Street, London)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individuals to join our fundraising team as a Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer. In this role, you will play a vital role in researching and applying to grant applications in order to help the team raise as much funding as possible to support people experiencing homelessness across London.

About the role:

As the Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer, you will be responsible for maximising income from Trusts and Foundations in order to support SHP’s charitable activities. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and alongside the fundraising team, you will contribute towards the delivery of achieving SHP's overarching vision of a society where everyone has a place to call home and the chance to live a fulfilling life.

In your role, you will be responsible for building and delivering a successful Trusts and Foundations portfolio by focusing on:

• Maximising income from grant-giving organisations to ensure sustainable growth of restricted and unrestricted fundraising.
• Working strategically to build high-impact, high-value relationships with grant funders as well as managing relationships with existing donors.
• Collaborating with teams across the organisation to create compelling fundraising proposals and produce high-quality reports and budgets.

Job Purpose:

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of the Charity operations. This role is the first point of contact for supporters and requires outstanding customer care/ donor stewardship skills. Main Duties/Tasks

Fundraising & Office duties

Undertake day to day administrative tasks as directed by the Fundraising & People Team Leader and Senior Team, including the preparation of letters, reports and memos, ensuring the work is of a high standard, professional and accurate. Adhering to sensitive information protocols and keeping sensitive information confidential.

Deal with all incoming telephone enquiries in a professional and helpful capacity and direct all incoming calls correctly and take accurate messages. Adhere to any confidential or sensitive information protocols.

Contribute to the efficient running of the public Charity office by receiving all donors and visitors in a welcoming and friendly manner.

Provide excellent customer care/ donor stewardship in all interactions with donors.

Manage the mail, ensuring it is opened, distributed and any donor correspondence is responded to in a timely manner.

Process donations in line with established receipting procedures.

Adhere to audit procedures and liaise with the Charity’s auditors.

Carrying out filing in line with office procedures and ensuring the safe storage and archiving of documents/records on a regular basis.

Process online orders for the shop in a timely manner.

HR support

Provide HR administrative support within the areas of:

What we are looking for in our Senior Corporate Fundraising Officer:  

• Proven experience of successful fundraising from Corporate supporters, major & mid level donors and Trusts.

• Experience of acquiring and managing corporate Charity of the Year partnerships.

• Demonstrable initiative and determination. 

• Line management experience. 

• Experience of writing reports on activities, summarising and analysing figures to make recommendations using Word, Excel and databases. 

• Experience of managing events for high level donors. 

• Experience of researching and developing targeted proposals for presentation to prospective corporate partners and major donors. 

• Experience of developing a strategy to meet targets. 

• Excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping.

• A flexible approach to work, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities. 

• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to liaise with people at all levels, on the telephone, face to face and in writing, and confident making presentations to diverse audiences. 

• Ability to monitor and evaluate patterns of support and match appropriate project proposals. 

• Experience of working within agreed budget constraints, ensuring that expenditure is maintained within budgets, and that income is closely monitored. 

• Experience of compiling budgets for funders. 

• Good knowledge of the funding landscape and of best practice in multiple areas of fundraising (corporate, trusts and foundations, and major donor). 

• Experience of using a CRM database, preferably Raiser’s Edge. 

• Willingness to work occasional unsocial hours as required. 

• Understanding of the role of Women’s Aid, of domestic abuse and the issues relating including the impacts on women and children.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trusts Fundraising Manager to join our dynamic fundraising team.

You will be responsible for overseeing and supporting with applications to our warm portfolio of charitable trusts as well as writing compelling bids to attract new funders. Working closely with the Trusts Fundraiser you will manage the reporting schedule and ensure excellent stewardship of funders through face to face meetings and annual receptions.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join Positive East as our new Fundraising Officer. This is a key and varied role that sits within the charity’s busy Fundraising Team. About the role

This role is responsible for managing and developing the charity’s community fundraising and trade revenues (target of £266,000 in 2024) and building significant engagement with community supporters and fundraisers. You will manage a committed team of two people in the Community and Trade team.

• Lead on the management and innovation of our trade fundraising income.
• Lead on the development and delivery of our 50th anniversary celebrations in 2025.

Database and process management
• Work with the Head of Fundraising to ensure all recording, banking and stewardship processes are up to date and working across the fundraising team, wider charity (finance, data and marketing and communications) and in accordance with current laws and regulations.
• Record all community and trade income and thank community donors and supporters as per the agreed process.
• Record supporter and event/product specific information.
• Work with the Head of Fundraising to produce regular feedback reports and analysis on specific community products and overall revenue.

Wider fundraising
• Support company and corporate partnerships that utilise community and trade fundraising.
• Work with the Head of Fundraising to develop merchandise and trade income opportunities.
• Manage merchandise supplier relationships and internal and external stock levels.

Working across the organisation
• Work with the Fundraising Team and wider organisation to develop an engaging and rewarding volunteering strategy across the charity.
• Manage the organisation’s close collaboration with the British Transplant Games.
• Work with the Marketing and Communications Team to identify key supporters to develop and nurture, including those who might join our major giving programme.
• Work across teams to raise the profile of the charity and its fundraising activities.

Urgent Projects is a charity based in London, whose role is to support people and institutions of Ukraine during its war with Russia. 

The scope of ​​activity of the Foundation is the support of restoration and development projects in the fields of medicine and education. It also includes providing the population of Ukrainian territories with food, clothing, medicaments, medical equipment and other essentials during the active phase of the war. 

As Fundraising and Development Manager, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing the fundraising strategies to support the Foundation’s priorities. You will lead on major donor, corporate, and trusts & foundations fundraising, work to identify opportunities to diversify Urgent Foundation’s fundraising portfolio, and closely work with the CEO of the Foundation to network and strengthen relationships with current and prospective donors.
