About the Brent Centre for Young People (BCYP)
The Brent Centre for Young People is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 700 young people a year with a wide range of issues. We offer specialised treatment in the areas of depression, suicide prevention, tackling self-harm, eating disorders, exam anxiety and more. Our approach is rooted in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. We aim to reach significantly more young people in the years ahead, drawing on our heritage that combines specialist treatment in-house and outreach into communities. The Brent Centre is also an important Research Centre on Adolescent Breakdown and Adolescent Psychotherapy.
Fundraising at BCYP
BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant- makers. We work hard to ensure that we submit excellent, data-driven applications and evaluations. Until now, applications have largely been submitted by our Fundraising Manager- Trusts & Foundations, with occasional support from a freelance bid-writer. We now want to recruit a new member of the team, to help us to grow our income stream in this area and help us to steward these key relationships.
In this exciting newly created role, you will be responsible for helping to grow our income from grant- makers to design and promote funding opportunities, and to steward relationships with supporters through the giving cycle. We are looking for a fundraiser with at least three to four years of experience in identifying prospects and grant-writing, and who has experienced success in securing funds. Vitally, we want to recruit an individual who is as committed to Brent’s vision, and who will work with us to help us be there for young people in the coming years.
The Supporter-led Fundraising (SLF) Department at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for mass fundraising through enabling individuals and communities to support ARUK through their own talents and passions. The team drives registrations and income through third party, virtual and mass participation events and manages these relationships to maximise income.
The Central Fundraising Team is the beating heart of SLF as they work across Regional, Sporting Events and Marketing & Engagement teams to ensure our supporters receive incredible stewardship to achieve their fundraising goals. They ensure processes are in place to allow teams to work together effectively and maximise opportunities and innovation that come through online fundraising platforms and fundraisers.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Line Management
· Line management of two Central Fundraising Executives and Senior Central Fundraising Officer.
· Monitor, review, and empower the team to ensure effective communication and place CFT as the heart of SLF.
· Support all CFT to reach their non-financial targets.
· Work with Senior Manager and Senior officer to deliver monthly meetings with the whole team to share ideas and creativity, gather feedback and understand successes and challenges.
· Spot potential development opportunities across the team.
Monitoring and Reporting
· Ensure the fundraising CRM is being used consistently across CFT the wider SLF department to facilitate accurate supporter stewardship and financial reporting.
· Effectively understand and communicate reporting processes undertaken by the CFT and gather feedback to ensure these are the most effective for both teams.
· Act as Lead for the Fundraising CRM use for the Community Fundraising Managers, RFOs and Central Fundraising Team to allow accurate, insightful, and consistent reporting.
· Provide the CFT and regionally based teams with the tools they need for effective working relationships.
· Provide a monthly Department Report update for CFT as well as ad-hoc reporting when required.
· Use data and trends to support the SLF leadership team in in budgeting and forecasting.
· Work closely with the Data and Digital teams to monitor SLF’s contactable supporter base and segmentation.
· Assess and address Salesforce training needs across SLF
· Proactively Identify and Resolve Salesforce Issues, escalating to Senior Central Fundraising Manager where appropriate.
Supporter Stewardship
· Lead on the delivery of a unified approach to supporter care across SLF, including use of data, automation, product development and LTV.
· Monitor and gather feedback from employees and supporters about our stewardship and ‘surprise and delight’ offerings, constantly seeking creative and inspirational new stewardship methods and relevant improvements.
· Coordinate the re-engagement stewardship project for all SLF teams, with structured content input from Managers and direction from the CFM responsible for DIY fundraising.
· Inspire and train the CFT to nurture active fundraisers and build relationships to increase long-term loyalty.
· Frequently analyse and understand SLF supporter journeys to ensure they are consistent, ensure collaboration and idea sharing and offer the best level of stewardship for the supporter.
· Understand and analyse how RFOs and CFT steward supporters through to ensure cohesion, passing of leads between teams and sharing best practice across the wider team at all times
· Regularly review and analyse the supporter chase process to ensure we are receiving funds in a timely manner.
· Review and analyse the tiering system regularly to ensure it is fit for purpose and is offering the supporter the best stewardship journey.
· Lead on the implementation of recommendations from the annual mystery shopping exercise.
Project Management
· Become the lead for projects which involve the whole or majority of SLF to ensure tasks are delegated fairly and completed on time. Examples include Skydiving Days and Last Hour of Pay as well as platforms such as Tiltify and GivePanel.
· Be the central expert for SLF-wide process and projects, gathering experience and knowledge from all SLF teams and provide efficient and helpful updates accordingly.
Strategy and Operational Planning
· Provide creative and innovative suggestions for new supporter engagement and online fundraising products and projects. Work closely with the Senior Officers to implement and see through to completion.
· Identify opportunities for growth and diversification within the Online Fundraising space.
· Make recommendations on team structure and resource as part of the Ops Planning process.
· Work with the Director of Supporter-led fundraising to develop our strategic approach to innovation around digital and gaming channels.
Collaboration
· Support the CFT Senior Officer in overseeing the joint working between the Central Fundraising Team, the Regional Fundraising Officers and the Sporting Events Officers ensuring that supporters are given the best level of stewardship.
· Work closely with the Marketing & Engagement Team to share trends, learnings and collaborate on new projects and automated stewardship journeys.
· Continue to improve communications across all departments to ensure all resources are available across all teams.
· To ensure the team is the centre point of SLF and sharing communications regularly and have a good understanding of what is happening across each department.
· Work closely with managers from SLF Departments to ascertain workloads for the rest of CFT and ensure support is consistent across the department. To gain feedback from the different departments as to how processes are working and review for potential changes.
· Continue to review the level of support the team will offer to each SLF Department and ensure this is followed.
· Monitoring CFT and RFO KPIs/Goals to ensure consistency.

Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.
Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals. This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

Introduction to the role
The Coalition recently registered as a charity (December 2023). With our new registered status we’re keen to build our fundraising capability by recruiting for our very first fundraising role!
To date our fundraising has been limited to trusts and grants as well as local authority funding. We’re now looking to expand on this to help us reach and support even more Disabled people and those living with long term health conditions in Surrey.
Purpose of the role
The role will develop our fundraising strategy for the charity and manage Surrey Coalition of Disabled People’s fundraising activity including community grants, individual, corporate and legacy fundraising.
Main responsibilities
The main responsibilities are listed below.
• Work with Senior Leadership Team to develop, deliver, and monitor a fundraising strategy
• Research and evaluate new grant funding opportunities, co-ordinate the submission of high quality bids, and manage reporting requirements.
• Develop and steward excellent relationships with donors, trusts, foundations and corporates to ensure a diverse range of income streams.
• Research and implement fundraising events
• Set up and deliver a legacy fundraising programme.
• Collaborate with the Finance Manager and CEO to ensure accurate budgeting and financial reporting of our grants
• Carry out further tasks requested and agreed with the CEO, appropriate to the role and grade of the job.
• Work with Senior Leadership to develop an Individual Giving and Acquisition strategy that drives growth for individual giving across multi-channel campaigns and initiatives.
We are looking for someone with:

Individuals can reach out to Beat online or by phone, where they will be listened to, helped to understand the illness, and supported in taking positive steps towards recovery.

The Role
Beat is seeking someone with the ambition, creativity, and drive to build on its recent success and help the organisation reach a new level of influence and impact. The ideal candidate may already be working at the Director level or may be looking to step up into the Director role after leading a successful team within a larger fundraising function.
Person specification
- Significant experience at a senior level in a fundraising function with good understanding of all aspects of charity fundraising and a proven track record of raising significant sums and managing relationships in at least one key area.
- Experience in developing and monitoring the implementation of strategies, budgets and operational plans.

Director of Fundraising & Communications

Bristol Charities mission is to provide opportunities and support for people and communities to improve lives through grants, housing and charitable projects.
They are at a very exciting time in their development and have created a new role of Director of Fundraising & Communications to help them on their journey. This a new role that will play a crucial part in shaping the future of the charity as well as securing the resources to deliver sustainable growth in the work and impact of the charity.
Going forward their work will be delivered though a distinctive and coherent Community Hub model, which will be holistic, person-centred, integrated, joined-up, and promote a partnership approach. They also purchased The Vassall Centre in 2021, with long term plans to redevelop the site for community benefit.
In the short term they plan to relaunch the Vassall Centre as a standout, accessible, and affordable workspace venue for charitable organisations. Their community Hubs will include directly delivered Bristol Charities programmes/projects, services delivered by local partners, and services delivered by their strategic partners. They are also looking to increase the number of housing units they manage, either through development of their existing sites, through acquisition of new sites or through partnership working with other local housing providers, and any new Housing Schemes will incorporate the new Hub model.
Bristol Charities now need to recruit an experienced, passionate, and entrepreneurial fundraising professional; someone who is capable of not only overseeing a small but growing communications function, but who also recognises the importance of aligning fundraising and communications strategies and activity.
With this role, there will be the opportunity to build a fundraising function from scratch and lead on the fundraising and communications strategy for the charity, at a time of exciting change. The work would go across a range of sectors and will provide an opportunity to impact the city in lasting and tangible ways.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Fundraising will play a key role in the Senior Leadership Team by providing thoughtful and creative leadership and productive working relationships with other Directors, teams, and colleagues, helping to set the direction for the charity and tackling strategic challenges.
For this role, we are seeking:
· Extensive fundraising experience in a compatible context, specifically across key areas of income generation.
· Must be target driven to achieve income objectives set.
· Relevant professional qualifications or qualified through experience (either fundraising or communications).
· Leadership at a senior executive level with experience of managing relationships with key stakeholders, colleagues and Trustees to deliver fundraising and marketing objectives.
This is an exciting new role, and the person will be responsible for creating, developing and implementing fundraising plans to support delivery of all projects and programmes. Fundraising Lead (Part-time, fixed-term contract)
Peers for the Planet (P4P) is the House of Lords cross-party climate and biodiversity action group bringing together over 160 members of the Lords to put climate change and biodiversity loss at the top of the political agenda. Since our launch in 2020 we’ve seen exciting momentum, building cross-party collaboration and winning world-leading legislative changes to embed climate and nature requirements in areas as diverse as financial markets, pensions, energy, health, skills, R&D, built environment and much more.
A combination of seed funding and subsequent grants has enabled the organisation to flourish. Following a successful start-up phase, P4P is established as a valued, trusted and highly effective specialist in the climate policy landscape. Fundraising to support and sustain our objectives for the future is a top priority over the coming year.
Role Profile
We are excited to recruit an experienced fundraiser who will work closely with our Director and our Board of senior Parliamentarians in the House of Lords to meet our ambitious targets. This is our first dedicated fundraising role and is an opportunity for a fundraising specialist with considerable experience of managing relationships with funders and bringing in new funding partners. This could have been as a fundraising manager in a larger institution or as a Director or Head of Fundraising.
Our annual budget is around £700k a year, and the single key priority is to find someone who can help manage the relationships we have with 5-10 existing funders, and research, engage and bring in 5–10 additional funders as part of a funding portfolio, which may include high net worth individuals. We will prioritise those applicants with direct experience of finding and engaging new high value donors/granters. Whilst we welcome interest from candidates with a climate fundraising background, we would also strongly encourage applications from well-connected, dynamic fundraising experts with a strong track record of securing grants and donations in other fields.
This is a critical role for us to help realise a sustainable future for a unique organisation which punches above its weight in impact and which offers a flexible and warm working culture. The position is being offered on an initial 9 month contract but if we can find someone able to deliver on key objectives, we have every intention of extending the role and cementing it into our leadership team.
Our fundraising lead will have an exceptional track record of securing grants and in developing and operationalising funding strategies. You will be able to think both creatively and strategically, navigating the funder landscape with intelligence and confidence, and will drive fundraising activity forward and coordinate all the necessary processes and systems to enable this to happen effectively and efficiently. You will be a resourceful do-er, using your funder knowledge, financial acumen and communications skills to work both independently and in collaboration with our talented and supportive team. The role will cover:
Fundraising priorities:
- Develop/operationalise a fundraising strategy, leveraging the best return on investment of fundraising activity for the organisation and, where necessary, diversifying funding sources
- Along with the Director and Board, hold responsibility for meeting fundraising targets, including securing a mix of new grants/donors at the £10k-£250k+ level.
- Craft and coordinate compelling funding bids, drawing on the expertise of staff
Managing funder engagement:
- Coordinate a programme of engagement and internal systems/processes needed to nurture and steward a range of current and potential funder/donor relationships
- Work closely with the Board and staff to understand and build on pre-existing relationships with donors, Trustees and senior leaders at relevant trusts and foundations
- Undertake prospect research to identify new potential funders
- Deepen existing connections with the broader fundraising community, both within the climate/nature funders community but also in related/overlapping sectors
- Work with the Policy and Communications Lead to ensure that P4P’s organisational comms are compelling and meaningful for a broad spectrum of potential grant makers or donors
- Organise fundraising events
Insight & opportunity:
- Maintain latest insights on trends and issues, as well as on specific grant opportunities and other potential income streams, both in the climate funding sector and related/overlapping policy areas (health, finance, science, skills etc)
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the opportunities for P4P to drive positive change for climate and nature in order to identify new funding opportunities
Operations & finance:
- In collaboration with our Finance and Operations Manager, develop and maintain a thorough understanding of organisational budgets, funding gaps, resourcing requirements, and income targets in the short, medium and long term
- Coordinate reporting and monitoring for all grants and lead on maintaining our funder database
- Set up and lead the preparation (e.g. briefings) for meetings with current and potential funders, and ensure timely follow up
- Lead internal fundraising meetings with relevant colleagues/directors to support development, implementation and evaluation of our fundraising plans
- Take responsibility for internal training to embed fundraising skills across the team
Skills and experience
- Long-term experience of developing and delivering fundraising strategies and functions with an established track record of meeting fundraising goals
- Good knowledge of the funding landscape across a range of geographies and sectors, which may include climate and nature but also other subject fields that may intersect with or complement these
- Exceptional writing, editing and presentation skills; able to communicate with precision and in an engaging style
- Evidence of analytical skills and ability to think innovatively and creatively about funding opportunities, within political and other restraints
- Strong relationship and influencing skills, with evidence of ability to persuade and negotiate at a senior level
- Evidence of ability to respond with energy and speed to new and unexpected opportunities
- Strong understanding of fundraising regulation, governance and compliance, and of diverse giving models
- Strong process, planning, database management, budget and monitoring skills
- Commitment to P4P’s mission and to using your skillset for the good of people and planet
Experience: Min.7 years+ relevant experience
Salary: circa. £70,000 p.a. FTE, dependent on experience
