We are looking for an effective, innovative and highly organised Executive Assistant to support our Chief Executive and help us drive forward our mission to empower people with learning disabilities and their families.

 About the Role

 · As Executive Assistant to the CEO, you’ll play a pivotal role in enabling effective leadership and governance across the organisation. You’ll manage the CEO’s schedule, communications, and stakeholder relationships, while also supporting the Board of Trustees and coordinating key governance activities.

· You’ll be a champion of digital tools, using AI and Microsoft 365 to streamline workflows, enhance internal communications, and maintain our SharePoint system. Your work will also contribute to fundraising efforts and donor engagement, helping us build strong external partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

 · Provide high-level executive support to the CEO, including diary management, correspondence, and project coordination.

· Organise and service Board and committee meetings, including minute-taking and governance administration.

· Support the Senior Management Team with meetings, reporting, and operational tasks.

· Oversee SharePoint and internal systems to improve collaboration and document management.

· Assist with fundraising events, donor communications, and wider organisational initiatives.

About You

 · Proven experience in a PA/EA role supporting senior leadership and Boards.

· Excellent organisational and communication skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, SharePoint).

· Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity.

· Strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection.

· Knowledge of the charity sector and governance requirements is desirable but not essential.

· Familiarity with AI tools like Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Notion AI

Hertfordshire Mind Network deliver essential mental health support in Hertfordshire, providing a diverse range of services from our seven Wellbeing Centres and other venues across all ten districts of the county. Funded locally, our services are available to all residents in Hertfordshire over the age of 18 and we offer dedicated services for 5–18-year-olds.

Join Fumble as our new Programme Manager!

We’re Fumble – a bold, creative, and nationally recognised charity on a mission to make digital sexual health information relevant, engaging, fun, and safe for young people aged 13–25. We're five years in, growing fast, and dreaming big for the future. 

We’ve established an exciting programme of digital content co-creation with young people, to support them to successfully manage their sexual health, relationships, and mental health in the digital age, and we’re looking for a brilliant new Programme Manager to head this up.

This is an exciting, rewarding, and hands-on role at the heart of our small Sheffield-based team. You’ll lead the design and delivery of our projects – from the first sparks of an idea all the way through to measuring impact and celebrating success. 

This role is Sheffield-based or hybrid.

The role details

• This is a permanent role at Fumble

• Normal working day at Fumble is 9am - 5:30pm, with a 1h unpaid lunch break (7.5h day)

• 4 days/week (0.8 FTE), Monday - Thursday

  • Exciting note! We’re planning to trial a 4-day working week as an organisation in the near future, once funding is secured.

  • What would this mean? Fumble is preparing to trial a 4 day working week, which would mean a 30h work week across Mon-Thurs, with staff pay and benefits (including holiday allowance) increasing from 0.8 FTE to 1.0 FTE for everyone.

We’re looking for someone who…

• Has a creative eye and instinct for engaging, youth-led design

• Brings solid experience in managing freelancers and creative teams (we’re looking for CVs with at least 5+ years of relevant career experience)

• Is confident running charity projects end-to-end – including bid writing and fundraising, planning, people management, deadlines, budgets, and reporting

• Tools you will ideally be confident using include: Google Analytics, Data Studio, Wordpress, a CRM, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, and Google Drive, including especially Google Sheets.

Key deliverables expected from this role

Here are some of the key deliverables expected from the role in the first 12 months.

1. Programme delivery - youth engagement

• Expand our recent successful pilot project: ‘Healthy relationships for young women and girls’. 

This will include:

• In person delivery, in Sheffield.

• Project planning, session planning, promotion campaign to reach potential participants, facilitation of sessions and/or managing freelance facilitators, impact measurement, reporting.

• Deliver our annual cycle of engaging our Youth Advisory Board (remote, online delivery). This will include:

  • Planning and facilitating sessions via Zoom (supported by our Social Media & Comms Officer); impact measurement and reporting; safeguarding and managing the engagement and retention of members. 

2. Programme delivery - digital content and campaigns

• Delivery of our planned ‘Sexual health Q&As between young people & doctors’ campaign. This will include:

  • A series of video content, co-created with young people, for a social media campaign and series of associated website articles on the Fumble website. 

3. Supporting our safeguarding

• Supporting safeguarding at Fumble, as our Designated Safeguarding Officer. You’ll bring previous experience of effective safeguarding to help us build on our policy and practice. 

• This will include:

  • Conduct / manage annual safeguarding training for Fumble team & stakeholder groups

  • Maintain DBS checks

  • Communicate with external safeguarding agencies & expert advisors (where relevant)

  • Ensure safeguarding info is visible on the website and in sessions, and 

  • Ensure safeguarding continues to be embedded in a meaningful way across all of Fumble’s activities. 

4. Impact measurement

• Participate in the team’s development of our recently introduced impact measurement framework

• Design any additional tools needed for evaluating youth sessions, campaigns, and content.

• Collect quantitative and qualitative data (e.g. surveys, feedback forms, analytics).

• Report on outcomes and impact.

• Engage young people in co-evaluation methods where possible.

5. Supporting our fundraising 

• Participate in the team’s collective fundraising efforts. This includes:

  • identifying funding opportunities for Fumble, writing and reviewing bids, and writing reports for funders.

Join Our Fundraising Team ! 

At Scripture Union, we’re looking for two experienced and driven fundraisers to join our team. The fundraising team work to a target of around £2m per year, generated from a range of channels and segments. We’re looking for two more people to grow this team as we expand our mission to reveal Jesus to the younger generations in England and Wales. 

About the roles    

We’re looking for two fundraisers to tackle the following areas: 

• Individual Giving, working to maintain and grow our portfolio of donors giving between £10pa -  £1,500 pa each.

• Fundraising Innovation, coming up with fresh new ideas that will generate more income for the mission that take us beyond our tried and tested fundraising activities. 

Between them, the two roles account for 1.8 FTE, and we’re flexible about how that’s allocated. It could be that both roles work 4.5 days a week each, or one full time and the other four days. We’re open to suggestions as we seek the right candidates for the team.

The salary for both roles will be £31,500 - £34,800  per annum for an FTE.

• Individual Giving: Grow income from individual donors through the management of campaigns, regular giving and invitations to increase gifts from general individual donors and mid-level donors. Work to acquire and retain new donors and reactivate lapsed donors. 

• Fundraising Innovation: Develop, trial and implement new and innovative approaches to income generation, contributing to our annual target through new strategic ideas. Work with the fundraising team to ensure these activities align with our fundraising strategy and relationships with grant making trusts, major donors and legacy income.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
 
The Events Community Fundraiser will lead the development and delivery of RABI’s community events programme, working closely with volunteers, regional supporters, and local stakeholders. This pivotal role focuses on organising and supporting fundraising events that unite our community while driving vital income generation. The Events Community Fundraiser will not manage every community fundraising event directly, but will provide the necessary support, training and guidance to ensure volunteers and local teams are equipped to execute fundraising activities successfully.
 
As a key player in our community-focused fundraising efforts, the Events Community Fundraiser will be at the forefront of fostering regional engagement and support for our committees and community groups, ensuring the continued success and growth of RABI’s fundraising events portfolio. This role will also be responsible for identifying and scaling key events that have the potential to be rolled out nationally, expanding RABI’s reach and impact across a broader geographic area.
 
With a strong emphasis on relationship management and supporter stewardship, the Events Community Fundraiser will spearhead the growth of community-led fundraising initiatives, ensuring that both supporters and volunteers (committee and non-committee) feel valued and empowered. Supported by both centralised and regional teams, this role will play an instrumental part in helping RABI achieve its ambitious five-year fundraising goal of £10 million.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Event Planning and Coordination: Organise and manage a wide range of community fundraising events (e.g. agriculture shows, supporter-led, community and corporate) from concept to execution, ensuring every event is well-planned and runs smoothly.
• Community Engagement: Develop relationships with local community groups, businesses and individuals to foster collaboration and secure event participation. Act as the main point of contact for community stakeholders and partners.
• Promotion and Marketing: Work with the Marketing and Communications team to help create event marketing materials to promote events and drive participation.
• Fundraising Strategy: Set and achieve fundraising targets for each event. Identify new opportunities for fundraising through events and provide recommendations for improving event-related fundraising efforts.
• Volunteer Management: Support volunteers with event planning, logistics and on-the-day activities, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring that expenses are controlled and fundraising goals are met. Monitor event spending and provide regular budget reports.
• Donor and Sponsor Stewardship: Cultivate relationships with donors and sponsors, ensuring they are properly acknowledged and thanked for their contributions.
• On-the-Day Event Management: Oversee the event on the day to ensure smooth execution, including coordinating logistics, managing staff and volunteers and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations, analysing successes and areas for improvement. Provide detailed reports on fundraising outcomes and gather feedback from participants to inform future event improvements.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments (Marketing and Communications, Service Delivery, Volunteering and Finance, etc) to align community fundraising efforts with RABI’s overall purpose and goals.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, GDPR and best practice standards, upholding RABI’s commitment to ethical and legal fundraising.
• Systems: Effectively use RABI’s CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) to track donor engagement, segment audiences and identify growth opportunities.

 
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
 
Essential:

• Proven experience in community fundraising, regional fundraising or events within the charity sector.
• A track record of delivering successful community fundraising events.
• Excellent relationship-building skills, equipped with the skills to engage and inspire a wide range of supporters, stakeholders and volunteers.
• Financial awareness and planning with the ability to develop and manage project-level budgets.
• Strong project management and organisational skills, capable of managing multiple fundraising activities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and digital fundraising platforms, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
• Understanding of fundraising regulations, GDPR and best practices in community fundraising.
• A self-motivated, proactive and results-driven approach to work with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Creative and proactive approach to problem-solving and idea generation.
• Empathy with the farming community and an understanding of the challenges faced in rural life.

 
Desirable:

• Experience working in a charity focused on rural, agricultural or community-based initiatives.
• A full UK driving licence, as travel within England and Wales will be required.
• Knowledge of agriculture and the farming sector, with an ability to tailor fundraising approaches accordingly.

This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis paying a salary between £47,000 to £57,000 per annum with flexible hybrid working arrangements at their London or York office with regular UK business travel and occasional overnight stays.

The post holder will drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. They will develop high value six and seven figure fundraising relationships, primarily with the private sector, but also with HNWI in the future, bringing on board new supporters. They will work closely with the fundraising account management team to ensure effective handovers, and with the bid writer, to maximise opportunities with trust and foundation income. They will operate nationally but will also be able to develop place-based relationships and partnerships.
