About this job

In this role, you'll oversee the delivery of our marketing strategy and insight-led approach to product development for our community and events fundraising team. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to reach, engage, and build meaningful long-term relationships with our supporters. You'll champion an insight-driven and engagement-first approach to marketing and product development, with our audiences at its core.

You'll innovate and test new marketing channels, products, and approaches. You'll stay up-to-date with the latest marketing and sector trends and identify opportunities to ensure we can proactively respond to an evolving external environment.

A key part of your role will be to lead our team of supporter-facing Fundraising Executives and ensure they provide consistent and exceptional supporter stewardship to our incredible fundraisers.

Our role is to deliver engaging, high quality and innovative fundraising to our amazing supporters and provide an attractive, inclusive programme of events and activities throughout the year.

The Role
We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Digital Content & Communications Manager; a creative all-rounder who thrives on “doing,” not just talking strategy. You’ll have ownership of our digital content: crafting impactful videos, visuals, and copy for our social channels and websites, and creating engaging resources for marketing, learning and programme delivery. You’ll energise our digital platforms while continuously improving their effectiveness and reach.
This role is delivery-first: you’ll “own” the hands-on creation, scheduling, and optimisation of digital content. You’ll have input into what and when we share and will help shape digital plans, but the heart of the job is practical content production and sharing. Press and comms partnerships are supporting responsibilities, not the main focus.

Your Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Content Creation & Delivery (Primary)

• Design, produce, and post engaging multimedia assets (video, graphics, infographics, stories) for social media, and our websites.
• Amplify authentic stories, ideas, and perspectives from our beneficiaries to move and motivate audiences.

2. Social Media & Community Building

• Plan, schedule, post, and manage engagement on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X, as well as newsletters
• Grow and nurture audiences—especially among schools, judges, volunteers, educators, and young people.
• Monitor trends and adapt content for impact.

3. Learning & Programme Resource Design

• Work with colleagues to create compelling, accessible learning resources and marketing materials for schools, corporate partners, funders, and events.
• Design digital newsletters, reports, and campaign materials that support fundraising, stewardship, and participant development.

4. Marketing of Programmes

• Provide marketing support to the programmes team to help promote our programmes to schools and other charities primarily through developing marketing collateral and supporting outbound email campaigns

5. Website Management & Continuous Improvement

• Manage day-to-day website updates, keeping our sites fresh, welcoming, and easy to navigate.
• Seek out and implement small improvements that enhance user experience, accessibility, and recruitment effectiveness.

6. Press, Media & Profile

• Develop and deliver a practical approach to meeting regional press grant requirements (e.g. one piece per final); contribute occasional press releases if needed.

7. Support the Team’s broader objectives

• Help colleagues use digital tools, solve basic problems, and build digital skills through sharing, to improve our digital content
• Champion creative, inclusive, and accessible digital comms internally.

This is a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Business Development Manager to join a growing social enterprise at a pivitol moment of national growth. You’ll lead on securing income through contracts, tenders, grants, and traded services, taking full ownership of the business development function from prospecting to proposal, and from pitching to handover.

Reporting into the Director of Philanthropy and Partner Engagement, you will build and lead a bold, high-impact strategy focused on cultivating deep, long-term partnerships with influential philanthropists. Working closely with senior leadership, you will be central to unlocking significant funding opportunities that align donor values with the lasting change we deliver for children living through conflict.

As Head of Principal Gifts, you will:

• Lead the development of a high-impact Principal Giving programme
• Build deep partnerships with philanthropists capable of making transformational gifts of £500k+
• Operate at the highest levels across War Child UK (WCUK) and our global alliance, engaging CEOs, trustees, ambassadors, and programme leaders to connect donor values with War Child’s most urgent priorities
• Shape major funding propositions rooted in WCUK’s ten-year strategy, inspiring exceptional support for their mission
• Benefit from strong internal backing, and new dedicated prospect research that will strengthen your pipeline and give you the insight to target opportunities with confidence
• Leverage existing pipelines of prospects and introductions, deepening relationships and converting warm networks into lasting partnerships
• Partner with the Heads of Philanthropy and Trusts & Foundations, programme directors, ambassadors, and trustees to deliver donor engagement at the highest level

Ideal skills and experience: 

• A track record of securing gifts of £250k+ from UHNWIs
• Sophisticated relationship management skills, with the confidence and credibility to operate alongside CEOs, trustees, programme directors, ambassadors, and family offices
• Experience shaping ambitious, values-driven cases for support and stewarding long-term philanthropic partnerships
• Strategic insight, entrepreneurial drive, and the ability to build a new programme from the ground up
• A collaborative approach, able to work closely with colleagues in philanthropy, trusts and foundations, and partnerships
• Strong advisory skills, able to support and guide fundraisers across the organisation on managing principal-level partnerships
• Well versed in developing and assessing different financial models to structure transformational giving opportunities
• Ideally, a broad understanding of international philanthropy and donor motivations, with the ability to connect global priorities to transformational giving opportunities.

Temporary Individual Giving Officer – £16.48 per hour – London

Our charity-sector client is seeking a Temporary Individual Giving Officer to join their Fundraising, Engagement & Communications team for approximately 2 months.

This is a great opportunity for someone with individual giving experience to step in and provide vital support across appeals, stewardship, and donor communications. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality supporter care while helping to ensure campaigns run smoothly.

The role

• Support the delivery and analysis of direct mail and other appeals

• Help coordinate donor stewardship, including regular givers and mid-value supporters

• Maintain accurate supporter data in Salesforce, ensuring GDPR compliance

• Respond to supporter enquiries by post, phone and email

• Assist with trading programmes and merchandise fulfilment

• Provide administrative and reporting support to the fundraising team

• Contribute to events and community fundraising activities as required

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience working in individual giving or supporter care in the charity sector

• Understanding of Gift Aid, GDPR and data protection (or willingness to learn)

• Strong organisational and project support skills

• Experience using a CRM system (Salesforce desirable)

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

• The ability to juggle multiple tasks and work well under pressure
