Our fundraising team is made up of passionate people dedicated to making BCUK’s mission a reality, so we can prevent even more people from getting Breast Cancer. Fundraising income has grown significantly over the last few years thanks to a talented staff team, and we have an ambitious strategy to grow this income even further.  

Working with agencies, including a digital mobilisation agency, The Senior Individual Giving Officer will be responsible for leading growing our individual donor and supporter base and delivering an excellent supporter experience.   

You’ll need to be a digital native with experience in building digital-focused approached to supporter acquisition and development.

About you: 

You will be a highly motivated individual with experience of working in a growing charity ideally you’ll bring the following skills -

• Knowledge and experience of leading digital acquisition programs  

• Knowledge and experience of email marketing  

• Experience of working towards funding and donor engagement targets and tracking progress  

• Experience in developing, coordinating and implementing regular giving plans, in-memory giving, and stewardship plans for individual givers and major donors.

Job Purpose:

• Contribute to hyh’s overall Fundraising strategy as a member of the Fundraising Team
• Have day to day responsibility for the Individual Giving income stream
• Manage a portfolio of existing Individual Giving supporters, providing exceptional supporter care and building relationships, stewarding and nurturing existing donors.
• Improve supporter retention and maximise donors’ lifetime value to hyh
• Manage, develop and lead on the use of hyh’s CRM effectively to segment data and make insight-led decisions. This includes developing new reports, liaising with the external CRM consultant to make improvements, writing up procedures and training members of the team in best practice.
• Acquire and develop new donors through solicitation and stewardship plans using a supporter journey programme to build engagement and loyalty.
• Develop marketing and comms materials through digital and other channels to deliver the programme.
• Maximise all opportunities to develop regular giving, appeals, one-off occasion donations, in-mem and legacy

The Talent Set are delighted to be working with London's Air Ambulance Charity, supporting them to recruit a Deputy Head of Philanthropy (Trusts) maternity cover. This role will start at a key time in strategy development and long term planning, as they enter the final phase of their incredibly successful Up Against Time Appeal to replace their two helicopters.

As they enter the final phase of the appeal, having raised £11.5m of their £15m target (with a number of further pledges confirmed) this role will focus on developing the long term Trusts fundraising strategy. As Deputy Head of Philanthropy you will be tasked with considering the opportunities presented by the new 15 year organisational strategy, and contributing to the wider Philanthropy, Partnerships and Events team plans to ensure they have a strong footing as they look to the long term and next 15 years of London's Air Ambulance Charity. 

As Deputy Head of Philanthropy you will not only lead on strategy development but also build and develop the Trusts pipeline, leading and developing the Trusts and Prospect Research teams to improve internal processes and influence/respond to upcoming fundraising opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Trusts and Prospect Research teams and programmes through a year of maternity cover, ensuring both areas are in a strong position on the return of the substantive postholder. 
• Act as LAAC's Trust and Lead Gift (£500k+) fundraising expert, leading the Trusts and Prospect Research teams to be ambitious and consider the long term funding opportunities for the charity. 
• Lead the team through the transition from the Up Against Time Appeal to focus on the new 15 year organisational strategy and opportunities it presents to develop the pipeline for new projects.
• Take ownership of the Trusts, Foundations and Statutory pipeline, leading income generation from these sources with a personal focus on £100k+ opportunities, while informing the organisation's approach to restricted fundraising opportunities.
• Support the development of direct reports and wider Philanthropy, Partnerships and Events team. 

Person Specification:

• Strong sector knowledge and technical expertise of Trust fundraising, with experience of securing £100k+ support from trusts, foundations and/or statutory sources. 
• Demonstrable experience of developing and fundraising for restricted projects, monitoring income and expenditure budgets.
• Effective pipeline development skills and the ability to support a Prospect Research function to identify new opportunities.

Micro Rainbow is a leading UK organisation working with LGBTQI people seeking asylum and LGBTQI refugees to enable them to live in safety, with dignity and to rebuild their lives. The Corporate Partnerships team has seen impressive success over recent years with the team now bringing in more than £4 million annually from a range of partners including Chase Bank, Lancôme, KPMG, McDonald’s, Morrisons, Bloomberg and WHSmith.

We’re seeking a skilled corporate fundraiser to lead on a portfolio of significant, strategic partners on a maternity cover contract. You will deliver a high level of stewardship to grow and develop existing relationships, line manage a Corporate Partnerships Manager, and contribute to the development of the corporate partnership strategy.

As Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will: 

• Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate partners at the six-figure+ level, ensuring effective stewardship to strengthen engagement and drive incremental income
• Play a key role in developing the corporate partnership strategy, and contribute to budget planning in collaboration with the Head of Partnerships
• Research, write and pitch compelling funding proposals to renew and uplift existing partnerships, meeting agreed targets and working closely with colleagues across the organisation
• Provide management, support and guidance to the Corporate Partnerships Manager

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Demonstrable experience in managing six-figure+ corporate partnerships in the not-for-profit sector
• Expertise in leading on multi-faceted partnerships, including strategic partnerships
• Experience working with partners across retail and financial services is desirable
• A strategic mindset and ability to think creatively about corporate partnerships, identifying opportunities for uplift and increased engagement among existing partners, fostering a strong sense of connection to the organisation’s mission
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop direct reports, including setting priorities and goals that are achievable, aspirational and inspiring

We are ambitious about expanding our impact to many more young people and we are seeking a passionate and driven Programme Manager(s) to join delivery team and help us scale our programmes to more schools.

Programme Manager role

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and committed Programme Manager(s) to join our existing Programme Team in September 2024 on a full or part-time basis (6-month fixed-term with potential to extend).  As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Yes Futures programmes in-person, in our partner primary and secondary schools in North London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire & Buckinghamshire.

Main Responsibilities

You will be one of a small team of Programme Managers, dedicated to delivering excellent programmes which make a positive difference to the lives of students.  The main responsibilities of the Programme Manager role are:

Programme delivery

• Responsible for the care and wellbeing of all students in your schools on the programme;
• Communicating with parents where necessary during the programme, by email, letter and telephone;
• Planning and delivering whole-group workshops for students;
• Planning and delivering information and celebration events for students and parents;
• Facilitating the in-person and online volunteer coaching team to deliver student coaching sessions. As well as delivering coaching sessions to students, where required;
• Developing business and charity partnerships for day trips;
• Planning and delivering the day trips included in the programme;
• Supporting the planning and delivery of the Into the Wild residentials;
• Implementing discipline procedures, including reporting serious discipline issues;
• Implementing all necessary Health and Safety and Child Protection procedures, including recording and reporting any incidents;
• Ongoing communication with the school and Yes Futures head office regarding student engagement and progress.

Organisation and administration

• School onboarding, including ensuring that dates are planned, students are recruited and parental agreements are returned;
• Planning and organising the logistical elements of the programme (timetables, activities, sessions plans etc) through liaising with Yes Futures head office, school staff, businesses, charitable organisations and the rest of the Coaching team;
• Creation of Risk Assessments, parent letters and programme-related documents for schools;
• Sourcing materials needed for programme sessions, including lunches for trips;
• Assisting with finance and petty cash where required.

Management of volunteer Yes Futures Coaches

• Managing and developing the skills of your Coaching teams (usually 2-6 adults per school);
• Ongoing communication with your Coaching teams, to foster their enthusiasm and commitment;
• Supporting Coach recruitment for future programmes;
• Supporting the planning and delivery of training for Coaches;
• Maintaining accurate and secure records of Coaches’ personal information, absences, sickness and other relevant information.

Evaluation and reporting

• Facilitating the pre-, mid- and end of programme evaluations;
• Oversight and input of key student monitoring data and impact data;
• Debriefing and ongoing feedback collection from schools and Coaches;
• Ensure all work is carried out in an effective and timely manner to support continued high standards of the Yes Futures programmes.

Programme Managers will also be given the opportunity to support with other Head Office functions, including but not limited to:

• Strengthening our strategy, programme design and theory of change;
• Supporting the marketing of Yes Futures to new schools and customers;
• Developing our fundraising strategy through bid writing and other fundraising tasks;
• Establishing relationships with key partner organisations;
• Planning our future Ambassador offer and other pilot programmes.

Ideally, we are looking for a Programme Manager to start by late August/ early September in order to provide a comprehensive induction and handover prior to the next delivery cycle in September (though there may be some flexibility to accommodate the right candidate).
