Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a fantastic charity to recruit for the Fundraising Executive to become the local face of a well established charity within Worcestershire.
As Fundraising Executive, you will be responsible for growing income and awareness across Worcestershire by developing meaningful relationships with supporters, volunteers, community groups, schools, and local businesses.
Working closely with the Community Fundraising Manager and wider fundraising team, you will help deliver regional fundraising plans, identify new opportunities, and provide exceptional supporter stewardship to maximise engagement and long-term loyalty.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines community engagement, relationship management, volunteer support, event attendance, and fundraising development.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with supporters, community groups, schools, and local businesses.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of fundraising opportunities, including identifying new prospects and re-engaging previous supporters.
- Deliver excellent supporter stewardship, ensuring individuals and groups feel valued and connected to the charity's impact.
- Support and grow a network of volunteers through training, guidance, and regular engagement meetings.
- Deliver presentations, talks, and fundraising pitches to a variety of audiences.
- Provide advice and support to community fundraisers, ensuring compliance with relevant fundraising regulations and best practice.
- Maintain accurate records using CRM systems and monitor fundraising performance against agreed targets.
- Support community awareness initiatives, including educational programmes and public engagement activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to maximise fundraising opportunities and supporter engagement.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- A confident communicator with excellent relationship building skills.
- Experienced in customer service, fundraising, sales, community engagement, or stakeholder management.
- Self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing a varied workload independently.
- Comfortable presenting to groups and acting as an ambassador for a charitable cause.
- Experienced in working towards targets and achieving measurable outcomes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database/CRM systems.
- Flexible and willing to work occasional evenings and weekends to support events and community activities.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to a vehicle for business travel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
Desirable
- Experience in fundraising or the charity sector.
- Experience working with volunteers.
- Institute of Fundraising qualification or equivalent.
Salary & Benefits
•Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated fundraiser with a passion for international development to join an award-winning and ambitious team at a pivotal time of growth. You will help us grow our philanthropy income so we can reach more children living in some of the world’s most conflict-affected countries.
As part of the Philanthropy team, you will manage and grow relationships with existing and prospective mid to high value and major donors, helping to generate vital income through relationship-led fundraising. You will also identify and research new prospects, support the development of the donor pipeline, and help plan and deliver engaging cultivation and stewardship opportunities and events.
As part of our growing Philanthropy and Partnerships department, you will have the opportunity to collaborate on exciting and creative projects alongside our award-winning Music team and Fundraising Engagement department. This is a role with real scope to contribute ideas, build meaningful relationships and make a tangible impact for children affected by war globally.
The team regularly comes together in our London office for collaboration, meetings and relationship-building, and the successful candidate will be expected to attend these in person where appropriate.

- Experienced in developing and managing relationships with mid to high value and major donors, including cultivating and/or securing 4–5 figure gifts from individual donors.
- Experienced in identifying, researching and qualifying new prospective donors and developing robust cultivation plans
- Experienced in preparing detailed proposals, reports and other donor communications with both excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Experienced in working on fundraising events and confidence in networking, including with high profile (celebrity) supporters
- Solid understanding of the principles of major donor fundraising and how to apply them
- Confident IT skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Canva is desirable.
- Experience working with fundraising databases such as Salesforce or similar platforms.
- Able to present information, verbally or in writing, including War Child’s mission, briefings and project reports to a range of audiences in a clear and confident manner
- Interested in international development issues and have an understanding of, and commitment to, War Child’s vision, mission and aims

What the job involves
We’re looking for an ambitious fundraiser to join our Philanthropy team, capitalising on recent growth and with the chance to really make your mark. Your role is to engage influential and high-profile individuals and Trusts in the UK, connecting them to the difference they can make to thousands of men facing prostate cancer. You’ll lead on our established high value giving club, ‘The Pioneers’, and be creative with developing and growing membership and income for this product.
Providing the highest level of stewardship, you’ll ensure existing and new supporters feel valued, inspiring them to make five and six figure gifts, which will significantly improve the lives of men facing prostate cancer and their families. You’ll also harness the support of our enthusiastic and influential Trustees, Senior Volunteers and Leadership Team, involving them when appropriate.

What we want from you
You’ll bring strong experience within a philanthropy fundraising environment, including a solid understanding of solicitation stages and effective engagement techniques. You’ll have a proven track record of securing five-figure gifts and ideally experience working with major donors and/or trusts, with the credibility and confidence to build lasting relationships with high-net-worth individuals, trustees and senior stakeholders.
A natural collaborator, you’ll combine a strong team ethic with the flexibility and drive needed to achieve ambitious targets. You’ll be an excellent communicator, with the influencing and negotiation skills to engage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Highly organised and comfortable managing competing priorities, you’ll be able to balance the stewardship of existing supporters with the cultivation of new prospects. You’ll be comfortable working both strategically and in detail, from shaping individual engagement plans to supporting the growth of giving clubs or membership schemes as a key driver of future income and impact so we can save more men’s lives.

How and where we work
Colleagues attend the office at least four days per month (pro rata for part-time colleagues) to collaborate, build relationships, and support projects and decision-making. You can choose where to work the rest of the time. Travel to the office is a commute, so we pay our own travel costs.
Additional in-person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues.
