Join Refuge as our Senior Legacy and In Memory Executive and help shape the future of our vital fundraising programmes supporting women and their children experiencing domestic abuse. This permanent, full‑time role sits within our Fundraising, Communications and Policy directorate and is home‑based with occasional travel to London.
You’ll support the development of our legacy and in memory strategy deliver multi‑channel campaigns, steward pledgers and in‑memory supporters, and work closely with teams across Refuge to create meaningful supporter journeys. We’re looking for someone with experience in legacy and in memory fundraising and is looking to take the next step in their career.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to deepen their expertise in legacy and in memory giving while contributing to a programme with huge potential for growth. The postholder will have the chance to shape new products, influence strategy, and develop professionally within an inclusive, supportive organisation committed to learning, development, and meaningful social impact.

Play a pivotal role in powering life-changing opportunities for young people across the UK as a Collective Philanthropy and Events Executive. Working at the heart of a high-performing philanthropy team that raises around or approximately £18m each year, you will build meaningful relationships with donors, shape compelling proposals and steward a portfolio of supporters whose contributions directly fund transformative programmes. You will also bring these relationships to life through a dynamic programme of events, helping to grow influential giving communities and deepen engagement with the cause.
This role is ideal for a confident relationship builder with strong writing and storytelling skills, who thrives on turning insight into action. You will bring experience of securing and managing five-figure gifts, alongside solid project management and event coordination capability. A strong understanding of the donor journey, exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential, as is confidence using a CRM system and working with a range of stakeholders.

As Fundraising Executive, you will be responsible for growing income and awareness across Worcestershire by developing meaningful relationships with supporters, volunteers, community groups, schools, and local businesses.
Working closely with the Community Fundraising Manager and wider fundraising team, you will help deliver regional fundraising plans, identify new opportunities, and provide exceptional supporter stewardship to maximise engagement and long-term loyalty.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines community engagement, relationship management, volunteer support, event attendance, and fundraising development.
