About the role

As our Support Care Coordinator, you will be the friendly and professional first point of contact for our valued Crusaders Associates, those who have been on the journey with Urban Saints since we were known as Crusaders. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional supporter experiences. Your work will help continue and build lasting relationships that inspire ongoing support for our mission from those who have journeyed with us over many years.

You'll be responsible for:

• Responding to associate enquiries via phone, email, and post in a timely, warm, and professional manner, with empathy and attention to detail throughout.
• Listening and responding to the needs of each supporter, understanding their motivations and experiences to foster long-term relationships.
• Developing a programme to regularly thank donors for their support.
• Ensuring supporters feel valued and appreciated.
• Maintaining accurate supporter records on our CRM system, ensuring compliance with GDPR.
• Working closely with the Head of Development to ensure consistent messaging and supporter journeys.

Location

The role is home-based with regular travel required to visit supporters and to supporter events across the UK.

Please note, it's a requirement of the role that you have a UK driving licence and access to a car.

About You

We’re looking for a compassionate and highly organised individual who excels in building meaningful relationships and delivering exceptional supporter care. You will have experience of working with supporters, or in a donor relations role, and be an excellent communicator.

About the team 

Trusts and Foundations (T&F) is part of a High Value Partnerships team that sits within an Income Generation Directorate raising £30 million to support Shelter’s work. About £3 million of that is raised by the Trusts team. T&F is currently a team of nine: eight fundraisers – two in Scotland, one in Bristol and the rest in London, plus a Grant Manager supporting role. Half of the England-based team focus more on new business, while the other half manage and maximise our ongoing relationships.

About the roles 

You’ll help delivery our strategy by generating income from mid to high level trusts and foundations. Raising money for our core day-to-day activities, as well as for new projects, you’ll bring our income generation goals to life. You’ll work alongside a Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager and manage a personal portfolio of funders and projects, and you’ll be fully supported by an experienced fundraising team and senior managers in front line services.

The fixed-term role includes line management responsibility for the Trusts Executive, and is focused on maximising existing funder relationships. The permanent role has no line reports and is more focused on securing income from cold and new funders.

About you

You are confident in your ability to take on a portfolio of new funders at different stages of engagement and, through research, effective communication and meeting strategies, secure income. You’ll also need proven experience of working closely with delivery teams to identify core services that are attractive to a particular funder, or support design new projects that are a strategic priority for that service.

A flair for planning, writing and project-managing new large-scale, multi-year applications to institutional funders is important too. You will be highly collaborative and able to work with colleagues across our High Value Partnerships team in order to maximise income opportunities.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, whose mission is to see a time when no deaf person feels alone, is seeking a Corporate Partnerships Manager to identify, secure and shape new strategic corporate relationships that will help drive income and awareness at scale.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now looking to build a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Partnerships, this role will take a lead on identifying, cultivating and converting new corporate partners to support Hearing Dogs. The Senior Individual Giving and Legacy Officer is responsible for building deeper relationships with some of our most committed supporters. This is an exciting role with opportunities to further develop our expanding Gifts in Wills, in-memory and mid-value programs. The role has line management responsibility for the Public Fundraising Admin Assistant, supporting them to flourish and develop in their role, and ensuring they’re able to fulfil important supporter care tasks for the Public Fundraising Team. Our five-year strategy sets an ambitious milestone that by 2028, more than 7 in 10 people will be diagnosed at stage 1 or 2. Right now, it's less than 4 in 10. About Now Teach 

Now Teach is at a pivotal time in its strategic journey, following a hugely successful media and bridging fundraising campaign that has raised over £3m in new income for 2024-2026 and achieved 32 media mentions (15 national) and 2.5m PR views. We are now seeking to significantly grow our donor base and fundraised income and therefore are looking to recruit to this new role. We are seeking someone who can support the Director of Philanthropy and Communications to deliver our strategy to increase income through the recruitment of new donors and enable and deliver work with our current funders (primarily individuals and trusts). You’ll be the person to ensure they have an amazing experience as supporters of Now Teach.

Role overview 

This role will be varied and offer lots of opportunities to get stuck into managing relationships with high value donors. Both the CEO, and the Director of Fundraising and Communications will work to steward the relationships with our donors in person, while this role will lead on delivering high-quality preparation, proposals, reporting, and data management that underpin donor relationships. You will also contribute to building connections across teams and aligning fundraising activities with Now Teach’s wider strategy. 

You’ll deliver exciting and engaging communications and events which inspire our donors to continue to support our cause, as well as be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reporting so we can give supporters a great sense of the impact their donations make. This role will work on a combination of externally facing and internal projects and tasks and will be a great way to advance your career in fundraising.

• Create and maintain a stewardship calendar of content, reports, and events to engage our donors, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities. 

• Write and produce proposals and applications for funding from major donors and trusts, in collaboration with programme and recruitment teams, championing user-centred thinking by representing participant and school impact in fundraising materials. 

• Write and produce reports with in-depth detail of what we have achieved as a result of the funding from our donors

This is a newly created and pivotal role that will lead our approach to income generation and strategic growth. As Senior Business Development & Partnerships Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities, particularly in corporate partnerships, trust fundraising, and strategic collaborations, while also shaping how we position and promote our offer.

You’ll work closely with the CEO and senior management team to drive forward our mission and build meaningful relationships with stakeholders across sectors.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a strategic and proactive senior leader with a proven track record in income generation and business development, ideally within the charity, education, or corporate responsibility sectors. This role requires a collaborative and entrepreneurial self-starter who can effectively manage and grow our existing network of funders, while also contributing to the development of our evolving business model.

You’ll bring:

• Significant experience in securing income from corporate partnerships and/or trusts and foundations
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to quickly understand social impact areas and align them with funder priorities
