Job Summary

The Area Giving and Finance Advisor provides comprehensive finance support to churches within the Kensington Area, aiding them in the development of their ministries, manage Common Fund giving and to support the Area Bishop’s staff team in the management of resources including monitoring clergy post numbers, curate funding, and other financial matters. As part of a small team of Area Giving and Finance Advisers, the role involves offering training, resources, and advice on parish financial management and administration, and advice on various giving methods, including online and contactless options. Additionally, the role entails promoting generous giving through training initiatives, facilitating the award of grants and loans to churches from Area funds, and fostering effective communication and relationship-building between the Area team, Finance team, and parish officers.

Job responsibilities:

· Support churches in effective financial management, compliance, and stewardship of resources.

· Provide finance training, advice, and resources to clergy, PCCs, and parish officers.

· Assist diocesan leaders with Common Fund giving and the allocation of Area resources.

· Facilitate and monitor grants and loans awarded to churches.

· Promote a culture of generosity and encourage varied giving methods, including online, contactless, and the Parish Giving Scheme.

· Deliver training and resources to support generous giving and stewardship.

· Build strong relationships and communication between parishes, Area teams, and the diocesan Finance team.

The Head of Philanthropy is a new role and will be responsible for driving philanthropic income to support ZSL's mission. Setting both philanthropy strategy and being hands on, this role will work and lead a small team to identify, cultivate, and secure major gifts. This role will personally look to develop relationships with donors capable of giving seven and eight-figure gifts, and work with the team to develop a strong culture of philanthropy at ZSL. This will include securing unrestricted funds, restricted gifts to specific conservation activity and capital gifts. The role includes leadership of ZSL's mid-value Patron programme and ZSL's Fellowship.

The successful candidate will be able to evidence setting strategy and delivering successful philanthropic income growth. This person will be able to demonstrate securing and achieving major gifts of 6-7 figures, from identifying donors to stewarding a successful gift. They will have managed other team members before and be a strong communicator with other senior internal stakeholders and external donors. Ideally, this person will also have knowledge and some experience with capital appeal fundraising.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £37,500 per annum. The postholder is expected to work 1 day a week at the office and the rest from home.  While the full-time role is 35 hours a week, they are happy to consider applicants seeking flexible and part-time working (minimum 28 hours).

The Grants and Bids Manager will manage statutory funding applications of five, six and seven figure multi-year income compliant with commissioner/funder requirements. You will be expected to write funding bids, applications and proposals and plan and chair proposal development meetings with key internal stakeholders, including Senior Management Team and Frontline Managers.

They are looking for someone with experience leading, managing and writing winning proposals/bids – this can be via foundations, trusts or statutory bodies. You will have experience of charity fundraising, have good written and verbal communication skills, and be able to bring together key stakeholders to collaborate on a project.  You will also be self-motivated and be able to demonstrate your passion and commitment to the organisation.

Each year, Macmillan’s Mighty Hikes inspire thousands of people to take on marathon distance hikes across some of the UK’s most beautiful landscapes, raising over £70 million to support people living with cancer.

We’re looking for a creative and results-driven Stewardship Manager to deliver of our inspiring multi-channel supporter journey for the 2026 Mighty Hikes series.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Stewardship Manager and working closely with the Events Officer, you’ll deliver an engaging, insight-led stewardship journey that supports and motivates Mighty Hikers before, during, and after their event.

In this role, your week might include:

• Creating inspiring and motivational email campaigns to help participants fundraise and train.
• Working with our registration platform provider – briefing development, using insight to optimise user’s journeys.
• Briefing creative agencies on content and assets that engage and inspire fundraising.
• Managing outbound calling campaigns with external agencies and tracking success.
• Analysing JustGiving data to report on fundraising performance and identify stewardship improvements.
• Line managing the Mighty Hikes Assistant, supporting their day-to-day activities and development.

This role includes weekend work, attending events to cheer on our participants (don’t worry – no desks involved!). You’ll receive time off in lieu, and while a full UK driving licence is preferred, a willingness to drive a van is a bonus.

About you:

We’re looking for someone with a passion for supporter engagement, strong project management skills, and a sharp eye for insight-driven optimisation.

You’ll need:

• Stewardship experience – delivering engaging, multi-channel campaigns with personalisation.
• Analytical mindset – confident using data to evaluate performance and drive improvements.
• Project management – able to juggle multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
• Strong communicator – able to influence and collaborate across a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Relationship builder – positive, professional, and collaborative.
• Digital knowledge – familiarity with online registration platforms and digital journeys (desirable).

About hybrid working in this role

We have three offices; our Head Office in London and two workspaces based in Shipley and Glasgow. There are no fixed weekly office days for this role, and we support flexible, hybrid working arrangements. In terms of requirements for in-person attendance, the postholder will be expected to attend Challenge Events Away Days (quarterly), Mighty Hike team meetings (monthly) and reviews or planning meetings with key suppliers (these will be infrequent and arranged with as much notice as possible).
