We're seeking a focused and proactive Fundraising Development Advisor to help drive our mission forward. This role goes beyond raising funds; it’s about providing guidance and support to the people behind a wide range of charitable causes and activities.
We’re looking for someone who can provide hands-on fundraising support to voluntary and community groups throughout Wiltshire. In this dynamic role, you’ll work closely with a wide range of inspiring organisations, helping them operate more effectively and sustainably by offering tailored guidance, identifying funding opportunities, and connecting them with the right resources and partnerships.
You’ll also play a central role internally, working alongside our CEO to drive forward Wessex Community Action’s own fundraising goals, helping us grow our impact and build strong, collaborative relationships across the sector.
Key responsibilities include:
· Providing advice, guidance and support to new and established charities, community groups and social enterprises on areas including fundraising, income diversification and grant applications.
· Developing tools and resources to support others, including the production of regular, fundraising focused communications.
· Leading on the development and delivery of a regional Fundraisers Network.
· Collaborating with the CEO in developing and implementing strategic fundraising plans and initiatives that advance the mission of Wessex Community Action.
· Working with other community asset-based organisations to identify opportunities for best practice and collaborative working around building resilient, sustainable and thriving communities and services.

Main Responsibilities
Fundraising

Role Purpose
As Head of Fundraising, you will be responsible for generating sustainable income through our fundraising activities, along with ensuring that Beaumond House is continuously building strong relationships with our supporters, local businesses and wider community as part of our income generation strategy.
You will lead and support the Beaumond House fundraising team in developing sustainable income to help ensure our charitable work continues to make an impact in Newark and Sherwood for future generations.
Main Duties
- Responsible for devising, implementing, and developing innovative fundraising activity plans to ensure dependable sources of income for now and in the future.
- Work with your team, to build long-lasting relationships with our supporters, volunteers, businesses, grant makers and wider community.
- Manage the fundraising team operations and plan day-to-day activities.
- Ensure that all fundraising activity and donor communications is compliant and to best practice, keeping up to date with latest fundraising regulations.
- Work closely with senior leadership team, in particular Head of Retail and Head of Care to ensure joined-up fundraising campaigns are in place across the organisation.
- Working closely with Head of Finance to ensure all income is correctly categorised and allocated.
- Be responsible for ensuring donor data and relationship management communications are correctly populated within CRM system.
- Oversee our presence across online platforms, ensuring alignment with campaign goals and Beaumond House brand.
- Continuously track and report fundraising performance and budgets to Director of Income Generation and CEO, producing monthly and ad-hoc reports to support strategic decision making.
- Support in developing future strategies for income generation.
Operational and Management Duties
- Responsible line management of the Fundraising team, holding team-wide meetings, 1-2-1 sessions, annual appraisals and development plans. Creating a positive working environment within the department to enable all members of the team are productive and motivated.
- Mentor and coach members of the team, identify and support with development needs in team knowledge or experience, offering support and best practice advice.
- Delivering a tactical programme to ensure the successful implementation of fundraising plans and strategy, supporting each member of the fundraising team to meet their targets.
- Identify and clarify relationship overlaps between fundraising team members to ensure clarity for donors and supporters.
- Get involved and support the team with fundraising activities as required. Such as attending fundraising events and activities outside normal working hours, weekends and Bank Holidays when required.
- Support and encourage the team in working effectively with volunteers. Ensuring volunteers have purpose, feel valued, well supported and part of the Beaumond House team.
- Abide by organisational policies and practices, including the equal opportunities policy, confidentiality code and code of conduct.
- Ensure that every activity adheres to the health and safety procedures and guidelines, including carrying out risk assessments in line with policy.
- Hold regular meetings with the fundraising and wider hospice teams to ensure good practice and collaboration.
- Liaise with peers across region and attend meetings organised by hospice specific groups.
- Undertake any reasonable task requested by your line manager.
Strategic Support
- Maintain and build on the established brand of Beaumond House, maximising opportunities with local communities and outlets.
- Be the voice, and champion, of our supporters and donors throughout everything we do. Maintaining feedback through items such as supporter feedback groups.
- Champion innovation in income generation, identify emerging trends in philanthropy, digital fundraising and donor engagement.
- Prepare detailed income and expenditure forecasts and project schedules in line with the organisation’s objectives.
- Support in the development of future strategic projects and priorities with Senior Leadership Team.
- Prepare reports on fundraising performance for board and sub-committees as required.
Administration Duties
- Take responsibility for own administration, always completing to the highest and most thorough standards.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records using agreed systems, such as Xero, Beacon CRM and MS Office 365. Use these to set up and run reports to provide information.
- Support directly or via signposting for IT queries eg. Use of MS 365, Beacon CRM, Gift Aid.
- Respond in a timely manner to enquiries/queries.
General Duties

LTSB has ambitious plans to grow our income over the next few years. You will be joining our fantastic Fundraising team, which currently has three members of staff who work with trusts, foundations, institutions, companies and individuals to ensure the charity has the funds and key relationships necessary to achieve our aims.
This brand new role will support with developing and growing the number of trusts, foundations and institutions we are working with.
Income from trusts, foundations and statutory sources is an important income stream at LTSB, and you will work closely with the Fundraising Manager to develop and execute a strategy in order to grow and retain some of our existing funders, as well as bring new ones on board through effective research and prospecting.
This role would suit someone who has some experience of trust fundraising but is looking for the next step, therefore you must have experience of grant writing (five figure bids). You will have competent writing skills and experience of building and maintaining strong relationships and searching for new ones, whether online or in person. You will be enthusiastic, driven and creative with a can-do attitude. This role will have periods of high intensity. Being able to manage the highs and lows of trust and foundations fundraising is key.
As we all work remotely, you will also need to be a self-starter and be able to work independently. We would expect a thorough understanding and commitment to LTSB’s vision, mission, and work.

The Philanthropy Officer will be the main point of contact in the Philanthropy team, primarily account managing our lower-level Patrons and supporting the stewardship and recruitment of higher level donors. Alongside the delivery of our Patrons scheme, they will lead on all individual giving events and manage the philanthropy team’s participation in Development-wide events such as exhibition private views. The Philanthropy Officer also provides key administrative support to the Philanthropy team, keeping track of financial reconciliation, preparing invoices, and managing accurate income data in our CRM Spektrix.

This role is all about building strong local relationships with individuals, businesses, councils and volunteers and helping turn that support into successful fundraising activities. We have an exciting opportunity to join our sector-leading Community Fundraising team as a Community Fundraising Executive.
We’re an ambitious charity with a bold mission and fantastic culture. As a key member of the Community Fundraising team, you’ll work alongside the Community Fundraising Managers, Executives and Co-ordinators to achieve the exciting growth plans in our new 3-year fundraising strategy.
In this role, you’ll take the lead on our DIY walking and cycling fundraising activity, which currently raises over £750k each year. You’ll be responsible for providing outstanding relationship management for our fundraisers, ensuring every supporter feels valued, motivated and proud to be part of our community.
Using data and insight, you’ll spot trends, identify new opportunities and help shape fresh, creative ideas to grow income and improve the supporter experience. What we want from you
We’re looking for someone with knowledge and experience of working in a fundraising environment – ideally within a community or events context. You’ll have a proven track record of delivering brilliant supporter experiences, building genuine relationships and stewarding fundraisers through their events. You’ll understand the importance of meeting supporter needs and how to keep them inspired and connected to the cause.
You’ll bring excellent organisational skills and experience of planning and managing projects with multiple stakeholders, making sure we hit our KPIs and maximise fundraising income. With knowledge of how to plan, deliver and evaluate marketing activity, including digital campaigns on Meta, you’ll be comfortable finding ways to engage new supporters and keep them motivated.

About the Role:
