We are looking for a highly energetic person who is passionate about seeing an end to homelessness.  As part of our small fundraising team, your role will be to generate new income and raise awareness of the varied work we do. The key to your success will be your ability to build and cultivate relationships in the community, recruit and support event participants and deliver successful fundraising events.

The Community and Events Manager reports into the Fundraising Development Manager and is responsible for implementing a comprehensive community and events engagement strategy, coordinating all community, third party and St Giles Hospice organised events and managing relationships with key stakeholders.

You will have a passion for social impact, strong organisational skills, and a proven track record in event management and leadership. You will also be adept at working with volunteers, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.

You’ll be an accomplished fundraiser with proven experience in achieving income targets. Building community networks regionally will be essential to the success of this post.

With a team of three reporting into you, you will have demonstratable management experience in a fundraising environment with the ability to delegate strategic and operational responsibilities accordingly within your team to maximise the fundraising growth strategy and allow for a strong return on investment.

The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for all individual donor support processes, systems, strategies and individual giving fundraising appeals, which ensure we have excellent relationships with our donors to retain and grow our individual giving income. Powerful narratives, storytelling and engagement with donors is crucial to ensure that our funding need and impact is shared with supporters. 

The Individual Giving Manager will work with the Head of Fundraising and Deputy CEO to grow our major donor, regular giving, appeal and legacy income alongside sustaining our irregular giving and Gift Aid income. The Individual Giving Manager will line manage the Fundraising Assistant, which is a new entry-level fundraising role responsible for the development and day-to-day administration of our community fundraising income stream for individuals and our corporate community.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as an Individual Giving Officer developing and delivering our individual giving programme for regular giver, and cash donors.

An exciting and varied role, as the Individual Giving Officer, you will focus on the development of fundraising copy and creative, to thank donors, and to ask donors.This role will develop and deliver fundraising appeals, factoring in historic performance, testing and working with external agencies.  

 Regular travel expected to our hub/office based in Bristol, normally once a week.

About you

You’ll be excited by developing fundraising design and copy to thank, steward and ask donors to support Sustrans.

You may have prior experience in a fundraising, marketing or general project management role. Including working to collate, and/or produce content for multiple channels, and a proven ability to work collaboratively with others to reach successful outcomes.

You may have experience working with external agencies, as well as using direct mail and telephone outreach to engage supporters and drive fundraising efforts.

About the charity

Living in the North West, we're 25% more likely to be diagnosed with cancer than elsewhere in the UK and many cancers are much more common across the region. Community fundraising is an important vehicle to challenge this - by raising money and awareness.

What will I be fundraising for?

Recent fundable projects include a groundbreaking annual Regional Report on cancer and the innovative Lab-Coat Learning education programme for the region's schools.

Role Overview:

The Muslim Hands Fundraising team is looking for a Creative and Brand Manager. This is a 12-month-opportunity to help shape the visual identity of Muslim Hands and deliver campaigns end-to-end, including the 2026 Ramadan campaign. The role would suit an all-rounder who embraces a multi-disciplinary challenge. You will be leading a small team of Creatives who work closely with the marketing and web team and also get involved in other design projects briefed by other stakeholders in the organisation. Just as Fundraising is a fast-changing environment, the work in the Fundraising team can be fast-paced – we are looking for someone who has experience delivering work in this sort of environment, someone not scared of juggling multiple projects and tricky deadlines.

Essential:

· Right to work in the UK

· Creative: bringing innovative approached to preparing online and printed fundraising assets which meet org needs.

· Is confident managing workload for the creative team and negotiating project scope and feedback 

· Has a proven experience in a leadership role for visual storytelling and creating art direction for multi-channel campaigns 

· Project and time management skills including ability to implement campaign strategies.

· Proficient communicator and storyteller

· Experience working in an agile fundraising environment and collaborating across multiple teams.

· Adobe Suite proficiency and willingness to learn new skills as needed by the org.

· Experience working in an agile fundraising environment.

· Degree level education preferred.

Desirable:

· Knowledge of fundraising, preferably in an Islamic charity.

· Experience with task management software.

· A basic understanding of Islamic values and Muslim practices.

· An awareness of Health and Safety values.

· Full licence and access to a car to drive to meet with community leaders, partners potential event venues and collaborators.

· Multilingual Skills

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to support our DIY fundraisers and ensure they receive a bespoke, engaging stewardship journey. This role is key to providing outstanding service to our supporters, helping them stay motivated and connected to the charity throughout their fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing supporter engagement, contributing to the charity’s fundraising targets, and ensuring smooth coordination across the mass participation events portfolio.

The Charity team is responsible for raising millions of pounds each year to ensure Christie patients receive gold standard care and treatment. This includes everything from access to world first clinical trials and receiving radiotherapy in state-of-the-art treatment centres to young adults being cared for in a bespoke age-appropriate centre and being able to offer patients anxiety reducing complementary therapy, or even creative sessions in our art room.
