What the job involves
This is a unique chance to play a pivotal role in driving impactful external communication strategies that support High Value, Philanthropy and Partnerships teams. As a key player in the Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team, you’ll enable the integration of high value fundraising activities into wider organisational communications, inspiring action to fund life-saving initiatives that help men navigate prostate cancer.
Supporting the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand and our senior Business Partner in embedding and developing our business partnering model. A major part of the role will be enabling the integration of High Value Fundraising activity into the wider communications plan to enhance results from our communications.
You’ll work closely with our Philanthropy, Corporate Partnerships and Appeal teams to help plan and deliver inspiring communications that support our fundraising strategy. From pitching proposals and event promotion to major appeal campaigns, you’ll help build strong relationships with major donors and partners. You’ll also make sure high value fundraising activity is joined up with our wider communications and campaigns to grow fundraising revenue, support our community and improve outcomes for all men affected by and at risk of prostate cancer.
Please note this role is known internally as Communications Business Partner (High Value Fundraising).

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health globally, tackling mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, testicular cancer.
In our mission to stop men dying too young, we’re recruiting four Fundraising Operations Assistants to join our team and help deliver our hugely successful annual charity campaign across our UK and European markets. This is a Fixed Term Contract from September to December 2025.

Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Events Fundraising Co-ordinator to provide vital support across our portfolio of in-person, virtual and third-party fundraising events. This role is essential to the smooth delivery of high-quality supporter experiences and successful event operations across Guy’s & St Thomas’ Foundation, including Evelina London Children’s Charity, Guy’s Cancer Charity, and Guy’s & St Thomas’ Charity.

Overall purpose of role
The Events Fundraising Co-ordinator plays a crucial supporting role in the delivery of our events fundraising portfolio. You will help deliver smooth operational processes, support event logistics and communications, and ensure our participants receive excellent stewardship from registration to post-event.
This role contributes across a range of activities — including flagship events such as the London Marathon and St Thomas’ Abseil, as well as virtual and third-party campaigns. You will work closely with the Events Fundraising Lead, providing hands-on support across planning, supporter journeys, supplier coordination and delivery logistics.
This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, great attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding supporter experiences.
Key Responsbilities
- Support the planning and delivery of a variety of fundraising events — including in-person, virtual and third-party events.
- Assist with logistics, supplier liaison, participant communications, merchandise and event materials.
- Deliver high-quality supporter stewardship through engaging emails, phone calls, and timely responses to enquiries.
- Maintain accurate event data and supporter records using CRM systems (e.g. Raiser’s Edge).
- Provide administrative support such as registration tracking, event briefings, scheduling and document management.
- Attend and support live event delivery — including set-up, supplier coordination, volunteer briefings and participant engagement.
- Support income tracking, evaluation and post-event communications.
- Collaborate with other teams on supporter journeys, digital campaigns, and communications as required.
Work environment
· The post holder should expect to:
- Work in a hybrid hot desk environment, typically 2 days a week in the London office and 3 from home.
- Input and maintain accurate data and files relevant to events and supporters.
- Occasionally attend events in the evening or at weekends as part of delivery support.
Essential
- Experience supporting events or projects in a fundraising, charitable, or customer-facing environment.
- Familiarity with event logistics, supporter care or campaign delivery.
- Experience with administrative systems and multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
Desirable
- Experience with fundraising databases (e.g. Raiser’s Edge or similar).
- Understanding of NHS charities, healthcare fundraising or mass participation events.
- Experience using online fundraising platforms or email marketing tools.

implement a legacy pipeline and growth in In-Memory giving income.
• Work with the Individual Giving Fundraising Manager to deliver and
implement a strategy which prioritises both the retention and acquisition of
new donors, enhances the use of digital products, platforms, and channels
and delivers the highest standard of supporter care and donor stewardship.
• Lead the fundraising team to focus on deepening and strengthening existing
relationships and building a strong pipeline of new prospects to deliver multiyear
funding from major donors, high profile supporters, trusts, foundations,
and companies.
• Champion the adoption and use of Raisers Edge NXT CRM to effectively
support data-driven decision making and relationship management to
generate supporter insights in support of increased fundraising.
Brand and Marketing
• Working in collaboration with the Deputy CEO, Marketing Manager and
external agencies in the development and delivery of an integrated
marketing and communications strategy that is driven by audience insight.
• Foster a strong working relationship between the fundraising and marketing
team to inspire high-performance and results-oriented marketing.
• Build a community of supporters by delivering a seamless supporter journey
that promotes the charity’s work and delivers greater income generation.
• Empower the fundraising team to successfully deploy our brand.
• Work in partnership with the Marketing Manager to ensure content is up to
date, factually accurate and to manage reputational risk.
People Management
• Create a high-performing team that is ambitious and passionate about

Purpose of Role
As Digital Fundraising Lead you’ll oversee Comic Relief’s Digital Fundraising & Engagement programme, from strategy to delivery; managing and developing a team of high performing colleagues. In this high impact role, you will lead individuals and cross-organisational project teams to innovate, optimise and execute digital strategies and activities including shaping web UX journey’s; designing email communications and integrated digital media campaigns (including media targeting and digital content); and leading product and proposition development, all to deliver agreed annual income targets from a growing active supporter base. Key responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
· Lead the strategy setting; annual planning and budget setting for Comic Relief’s Digital Fundraising and Engagement activity, including keeping abreast of external trends; innovations and digital developments and exploring how these factor into Comic Relief’s objectives; building financial models, developing business cases, setting and monitoring budgets and managing reforecasts throughout the year.
· Where appropriate, bring x-organisational project teams together to strategise, plan and deliver digital fundraising and engagement change projects.
Delivery & Performance
· Working as a lead within the Public Activation & Individual Giving team, work with the team and wider organisation to champion digital innovation and performance optimisation, specifically leveraging new technologies, tools, approaches and data-driven insights to ensure digital communications and experiences are appropriately targeted, designed and delivered in a way that maximises audience growth, engagement and income; return on investment and / or life time value in line with agreed objectives.
· Ensure a robust and continuous test and learn methodology is applied across the team; results and learnings are recorded, systematically actioned and shared for maximum impact.
· Bring teams together to ensure our Digital Fundraising and Engagement strategies and plans are aligned with organisational capabilities and priorities and
oversee direct interventions to take advantage of opportunities; solve problems and mitigate risks to delivery and performance.
· Lead stakeholders across the organisation, unifying separate digital fundraising and engagement campaigns and activities (paid, owned and earned) to ensure digital efforts and investments are integrated and streamlined to maximise effectiveness and efficiency in delivering organisational goals. This includes collaborating to optimise the website and use of social channels to drive agreed data acquisition, supporter engagement and income KPI’s.

- paid digital media programme, including the contractual and performance management of external digital agencies, specifically paid digital media, ensuring value for money and delivery to agreed KPI’s. This includes coaching and supporting the Digital Growth Manager to inspire, optimise, manage and evaluate supplier performance.
- email marketing strategy, including strategic use of marketing cloud and integration with CRM to maximise engagement and fundraising, through effective segmentation, targeting and personalisation of audiences and messages. Coach and support the Email / Digital Officer(s) to continuously test, optimise and evolve email activities to achieve agreed KPI’s.
- use of digital data (including GA4) to inform the development and optimisation of user experience and supporter journeys.
- Operate as primary point of contact with BBC Marketing and other partners, specifically in relation to digital fundraising strategies, retaining accountability for the development of Red Nose Day web pages, supplying content and performance tracking.
Leadership & Management
· Manage and coach a team of digital fundraisers to execute fundraising, (acquisition and engagement), activity across digital channels to deliver against agreed plans and objectives to time and to budget, specifically focussed on the UK public audience: individuals and communities of individuals (including schools and workplaces).
· Foster a culture of high performance and build organisational expertise through a structured test, learn and iterate approach where data, learning and insight is used to make informed decisions and implemented swiftly to ensure ongoing optimisation.
· Maintain regular two-way communication and dialogue with staff and peers, ensuring information is cascaded and escalated as needed.

Person specification
Essential criteria
· Experience of designing, implementing and optimising digital strategies and user journeys to achieve ambitious B2C sales/fundraising outcomes for a high profile brand.
· Significant experience of paid, owned and earned digital channel planning and delivery; media buying and performance management, including attribution modelling/tracking.
· Extensive knowledge and proven technical experience of using Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM); Email Service Providers (ESP) and Google Analytics (GA4) & associated systems to optimise engagement and income.

Mary Hare educates 200 profoundly deaf children at its residential school in Berkshire, and we pride ourselves on our pupils’ achievements at GCSE, A Level as well as B Tech and Vocational Courses. No knowledge of sign language is required, as we follow an auditory/oral philosophy.
The Role:

The organisation has a good track record of raising substantial sums for major capital developments including an arts centre, new residential accommodation and most recently £4 million for a new Primary School for deaf children.
