Micro Rainbow is a leading UK organisation working with LGBTQI people seeking asylum and LGBTQI refugees to enable them to live in safety, with dignity and to rebuild their lives. Our operational teams are based across the UK providing specialist support to LGBTQI people on: safe housing; navigating the complex asylum system; addressing homelessness and poverty; tackling social isolation and accessing health care, education, and employment.

Micro Rainbow has ambitions not only to meet fully the demand for safe housing of LGBTQI asylum seekers by increasing the number of its safe houses but also to improve the experience of LGBTQI people seeking asylum and LGBTQI refugees across the UK by providing specialist LGBTQI services.

Micro Rainbow is looking for an Individual Giving Manager to create an individual giving and fundraising strategy for the organisation. In this newly created position, you will play a crucial role in nurturing relationships with individual supporters to make a difference to the lives of LGBTQI refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. As Individual Giving Manager you will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and upgrade Micro Rainbow’s allies (individual donors), ensuring a steady and growing stream of funding and contributing to the sustainability of Micro Rainbow.

This role requires a candidate with a strong background in building relationships and identifying and developing new prospects. They will need experience in the development of strategic and creative giving programmes and to be excited at the prospect of pursuing new opportunities for the organisation by engaging with individual and major donors, and high net worth individuals.

Key Roles and Duties

In this exciting role you will be responsible for raising unrestricted income from individuals by planning and executing the day-to-day campaigns to recruit, engage and retain supporters through a range of channels.

More specifically this will include:

Strategic Planning and Implementation

Plan, lead, implement, and evaluate strategies to:

• Increase individual gifts through enhancing the donor journey.
• Boost the monthly giving 'thrive fund' programme.
• Develop new individual giving campaigns with a focus on direct marketing across various channels.

Donor Data Analysis and Segmentation

Analyse and segment the supporter base to develop targeted supporter journeys and ask strategies, using donor data from our CRM (Salesforce) to:

• Maximise the lifetime value of donors.
• Ensure effective use of supporter data for campaign purposes.

Stewardship and Donor Engagement

Manage donor stewardship to provide personalised and engaging communications, including:

• Producing supporter materials.
• Building a thanking programme that offers a personal and engaging donor experience.
• Collaborating with colleagues to identify individual stories for impactful campaign content.
• Ensure all activities and contacts are managed through the charity’s CRM system.
• Maximise gift aid opportunities.

Campaign and Material Management

Work closely with the Communications Manager to:

• Create campaigns.
• Generate publicity opportunities e.g. radio, newspaper, online etc.
• Engage ambassadors and campaign specific ambassadors.
• Collect and draft beautiful stories, testimonies and case studies that engage supporters.
• Manage the production of supporter materials.
• Assist in developing Mailchimp email marketing and analyse and evaluate user journeys to maximise impact.

 Innovation and Market Trends

Lead the charge in:

• Coming up with new ideas and initiatives to bolster individual giving.
• Managing a continuous cycle of testing for new channels and techniques for acquisition and retention, based on audience insight and sector trends.

 General:

• Collaborate and communicate well with team members and particularly line manager. 
• We are a small dynamic team; the post holder will work over many areas offering lots of opportunity to work with staff in different departments and learn about the different aspects of charity.
• To recruit and manage interns and volunteers to support your work.

Role Requirements

We are looking for the right person to join the team – this could be someone with experience or someone who is willing to learn and has a strong transferrable skill set.

You will have:

• Effective campaign copy writing and ability to translate ideas into design briefs.
•  A minimum level of skill in graphic design (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, Canva). 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with diverse audiences in friendly and welcoming way in keeping with WONDER’s approach to empowerment.

Desirable skills and experience:

•  Experience of income generation from direct marketing campaigns (acquisition and/or retention) across a variety of digital channels for acquisition and retention. 
• Experience of project management to deliver acquisition or retention campaigns within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Experience of using databases for targeting, segmentation, testing and response analysis and how to apply these learnings to future campaigns.
• Knowledge of Charity Law, Data Protection, Fundraising Code of Practice, and other relevant marketing or fundraising standards across the UK.
• Language skills in Spanish or French (key languages of our overseas partners).

Community Fundraising Officer – Temporary Position from May 24 for 6 months (£24-25k)

Remote working with regular travel to the West Midlands and London as required

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver supporter journeys i.e. fundraising resources and stewardship communications to maximise supporter numbers, retention and engagement.

2. Use UKST’s CRM system (Raiser’s Edge) to accurately capture fundraiser information and key data contributing to the improved development and implementation of fundraising processes.

3. Communicate proactively and effectively with team members to pass on all relevant information, deliver excellent supporter care and to maximise fundraising opportunities. 

4. Provide excellent customer service members of the public, either via phone, mail and in person, help to develop Fundraising activity whilst also offering our Support Services where necessary.

5. Represent the charity as and when required in schools, local businesses, and community groups, including speaking at events if – not essential

6. Keep up to date with best practice in fundraising and ensure compliance with the latest legislation and guidelines.

7. Assist in prioritising & managing enquiries about our Community Fundraising Programme via our dedicated inboxes.

8. Work collaboratively with the fundraising team and our Communications and Marketing Team to ensure maximum press and social media coverage is obtained for UKST’s community fundraising activities.

Day to day activities will include:

1. Managing an inbox and replying to enquiries in a timely and professional manner

To be successful in this role you will have:

1. Experience of working in fundraising in a UK registered charity

A fantastic opportunity for a Centre Fundraising Organiser to join the team at our West London centre.

As an integral member of the fundraising team, you will be based at Maggie’s West London and you will assist in the delivery of a wide range of operational and administrative support, as well as social media activities.

Your responsibilities:

• First point of contact for enquiries from community audiences and suppliers.

About this key role

Main Responsibilities

As one of our regionally dispersed Community Fundraiser's, you'll be joining a busy team, where you will manage relationships with our key supporters with the primary purpose of generating income across a geographical area, through community fundraising activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering income targets across the region by building strong relationships with individuals, local companies, community groups and volunteers, in line with our community fundraising strategy. Ideal Candidate

You'll be able to demonstrate a track record of meeting income targets through relationship fundraising. You'll be experienced in building and maintaining relationships with supporters and colleagues. A proactive person, you'll be self-motivated and able to work independently with a solution focussed approach. As an experienced fundraiser, you'll be confident working towards income and expenditure targets and reporting on financial progress. It is desirable that you have managed and secured corporate partnerships and have event management knowledge, though training will be provided.

You will have a passion for building excellent relationships with your supporters to increase loyalty and life-long relationships with the charity.

As the Digital Fundraising Officer you will play a key role in supporting the digital fundraising strategy in the UK and internationally, with the objective of significantly growing the public supporter base and income. JOB PURPOSE 

UK for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency's national charity partner, is looking for an ambitious and proactive Corporate Partnerships Manager to join the Private Partnerships & Philanthropy team. 

In this exciting role, you will lead on the management of a number of our existing and new relationships with companies to create and grow mutually beneficial, multi-year partnerships, playing a key part in the success of our annual fundraising programme. This role is predominately an account management post, with some new business development.

We are looking for an exceptional philanthropic fundraising leader, with experience of leading an appeal and first-hand programme management skills, to undertake a one year maternity cover as the Interim Head of Child Opportunity Appeal. The LSO Development department is looking for a knowledgeable and self-motivated individual to join our team as Trusts & Foundations Officer at an exciting time in the LSO’s history. Reporting to the Trusts & Foundations Manager, the role will primarily work within the Trusts and Foundations team to establish and maintain relationships with grant-giving bodies to help meet and grow income targets. These grants support a range of LSO activities, including projects within our pioneering learning and engagement programme, LSO Discovery; our exciting artistic season at the Barbican Centre; international tours; new commissions for the LSO and recordings produced by our record label LSO Live.
 

About you

Experience in fundraising from trusts, foundations and other grant-giving bodies is essential for this role, alongside strong communication skills, high attention to detail and a passion for creating concise and compelling written copy.  An interest in orchestral/classical music is desirable.

The Trusts & Foundations Officer will also support the wider fundraising of the Department, helping to steward current and potential supporters at concerts, special events, and LSO Discovery projects taking place across east London.
