Our clinic offers longer-term (one year) Psychoanalytic/Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Counselling to people who are looking to speak about a wide range of emotional issues. We operate on a subsidised fee scheme and offer clinical placements to trainee counsellors and psychotherapists working toward professional registration.

About the Role

As Counselling Service Administrator, you’ll provide essential support to the day-to-day operations of the service, including client communications, financial record-keeping, and coordination with our Clinical Managers, Counsellors and wider team. You’ll be a key point of contact for clients and colleagues, helping to maintain a welcoming and well-organised environment.

The role

We are seeking a motivated Development Coordinator to support our ambitious Development team in fundraising for a museums and galleries across the UK. • Maintain the highest standards of gift administration and working closely with colleagues in the Development team to ensure supporters feel valued at every step.
• Support and deliver a varied and inspiring events programme, showcasing the impact of Art Fund’s support for UK museums and galleries.
• Manage a portfolio of individual donors, developing cultivation plans, building strong relationships, and securing meaningful gifts that advance our charitable programme.

Responsibilities

The employee will provide day-to-day support to the Ambassadors team. In this role, Ambassador Community Coordinator  will:

• Participate in the implementation of a “white glove” strategy aimed at retaining and engaging a broad and sustainable base of VVIP contacts while strengthening their sense of belonging to the Ambassadors community.
• Support the team in organising and coordinating a calendar of events, particularly Ambassador events taking place in Paris, London, Brussels (and sometimes New York).
• Produce communication and engagement materials to animate the community on various platforms and to promote its actions externally.
• Be responsible for researching and monitoring news about the community.
• Contribute to the identification and integration of new Ambassadors (recruitment, onboarding, etc.).
• Ensure the proper maintenance of the database.

The Head of Membership provides leadership to the Cobseo office team and Executive Committee on all membership matters. As a member of the small Cobseo office team, the Head of Membership, along with the other members of the office team, is expected to lean into issues, opportunities, and workstreams that arise, sometimes at short notice and occasionally outside of their own portfolio.

This role is full time (34.5 hours per week) and is office-based in London for at least 2 days per week in order to facilitate positive relationships with the rest of the team and with stakeholders. Part of that is to help local people create more community events, activities, and enterprises that give people the chance to collaborate together and build a lively community where people work and play together.

General Information

Big Local Works (BLW) is a community-focused economic and social inclusion charity based in Bermondsey, South East London. We want to help create a thriving, inclusive local economy and a community in which everyone can participate.

We deliver our support in the community through three main services:

• Expert welfare and benefits advice and advocacy for local people experiencing poverty and hardship
• Employability Skills training and coaching to help people access ways of increasing their earned income
• Start-up and enterprise support for clients who wish to start trading on the local ‘Blue Market’ People Powered Regeneration
• Wider community building designed to create a more tolerant, diverse, and lively local community where everybody is welcome

We have a strategic vision to create a ‘people-powered regeneration’ in an area already undergoing massive redevelopment. In July 2019, a community campaign was successful in securing £2m funding from the GLA for the ‘Made in Bermondsey’ regeneration project centred on making key improvements to the local marketplace,

the Blue Market in South Bermondsey. Final works were completed in July 2022 and the market now has a first-class infrastructure for traders, local residents and visitors to use and enjoy the Blue Market Place. The market also showcases a vision of a better future for the local area: a more prosperous, resilient and connected local community where people come together to trade, socialise, and celebrate across the diverse boundaries.

South Bermondsey has a problematic history with racism and other forms of intolerance, and while migrant (recent and longer-term) communities have begun to settle in Bermondsey after many years of exclusion, there remains a sense that they are not full members of our community. Through our work we seek to empower local people, encourage enterprise and community activity, which is intended both to support the economic regeneration of the area and to empower and increase the confidence of local diverse communities.

Most recently, we have been successful in securing £200,000 from the Esmee Fairbairn Charity for strategy and community engagement support in the local area.

Our key goals are

• Local people have more say over the changes in their local community.
• This means that local people are actively involved in the development of place-based community assets,activities and projects.

Community Organiser – Enterprise and Engagement

Over the past 2 years, we’ve undertaken in-depth research and community mapping to understand our area’s needs, assets and lived experiences.

This role has three key responsibilities:

• Outreach and engagement with diverse local communities to help them build a stronger, more representative voice.
• Supporting the development of new initiatives by local people to stimulate a sense of community.
• Ensuring that a wider range of local people are involved and included in community activity, and their voices heard – especially those from marginalized communities

Key Tasks include

• Provide practical support and encouragement to the development of new initiatives in the local area.
• Broker collaborations and relationships between local groups, helping them develop relationships and networks.
• Identify and develop active citizens, and support them to develop and deliver their own individual and shared community Initiatives – from microbusinesses on the market, to dance and knitting clubs or arts groups
• Facilitate groups and provide ‘servant leadership’ for community groups where appropriate, managing conflict effectively

Working pattern

We, the Universities Federation for Animal Welfare (UFAW) and the Humane Slaughter Association (HSA), are two sister charities focused on the promotion of scientific, evidence-based approaches to animal welfare. We fund research, support the animal welfare science community, and advocate for evidence-based improvements to animal welfare worldwide. Communicating animal welfare science to both specialist audiences and the wider public is key to turning knowledge into real-world improvements in animal welfare. We are seeking a Scientific Communications and Content Assistant to join our talented Scientific Communications Team during an exciting period of growth and change for both charities.

The Scientific Communications and Content Assistant will support us to deliver our scientific communications strategy by helping to draft, design and publish engaging content for our print and digital platforms. This includes assisting with the creation of visual and written content that effectively convey complex scientific information to our diverse audiences.

The role will report to our Scientific Communications and Outreach Manager and work closely with the Public Affairs Lead and other internal teams to create engaging content for our audiences. We are seeking candidates with strong written, editing and visual skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and clarity.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of our small multi-disciplinary team and be confident to work unsupervised when necessary. This role will be home-based. Because we’re based in the UK, the appointee will need to be UK-based and legally entitled to work in the UK.
