We support families across London, Surrey and Sussex whose children are facing cancer or a life-challenging condition. We’re there whatever the outcome, for as long as needed, so that no family has to cope alone.

The charity was founded in 2004 by our now Chief Executive and has grown enormously over that time. We currently have partnerships with 9 hospitals who refer families to us for our support, which ranges from therapies and counselling, to respite holidays and special family experiences.

Position: Corporate Fundraiser 

Location: East Molesey office (opposite Hampton Court Station) with some home working 

Reports to: Corporate Partnerships Lead 

Hours: 32 hours per week (Monday to Friday) 

Salary: £20,000-£21,600 pro rata (£25,000-£27,000 FTE) 

Main Purpose of the Role 

Momentum Children’s Charity’s fundraising team is highly ambitious, driven by our goal to help families of seriously ill children in London, Surrey and Sussex to keep moving forward. Corporate income currently comprises circa 18% of the overall income. But with our expansion in hospital partnership geography, and aspiration to provide support to more families in the future, the expansion of this income stream will be key to this growth. 

Working with the Corporate Partnerships Lead, this person will enjoy helping to develop all facets of the corporate fundraising area, working with and forging relationships with businesses to develop opportunities, fundraising and charitable giving, provide outstanding stewardship and relationship management, as well as helping to research and grow a healthy, robust pipeline of new opportunities.

Main Areas of Responsibility 

· Work with the Corporate Lead to maximise current and new income, to ensure delivery of the annual target 

· Provide a high level of partnership management through stewardship, and effective and regular communications 

· Generate, develop, and implement ideas and opportunities to maximise partnerships for the benefit of the entire organisation, including fundraising, pro bono support, volunteering, and gifts in kind 

· Support on the development and management of new corporate partners as assigned by the Corporate Lead 

· Support the Corporate Lead with the development and maintenance of a dense corporate new business pipeline through ongoing research 

· Manage and oversee the administration linked to corporate fundraising, ensuring information is entered and updated accurately onto the database system. 

· Undertake other duties that may, from time to time, be necessary and compatible with the nature and grade of this post. 

Person Specification 

Essential 

· Knowledge or experience of working in a charity 

· Excellent organisational skills, including ability to work on own initiative and to effectively manage and prioritise workload 

· Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills 

· Numerate and literate 

· Excellent oral communication skills with a high degree of diplomacy, empathy and confidence 

· Team player who can work on their own initiative to plan and manage their workload. 

· Good working knowledge of MS Office and CRM databases. 

Desirable 

· Knowledge of Institute of Fundraising codes of practice. 

· Fundraising, account management or sales experience in a client-facing environment.

This is a newly created role with the purpose of maintaining a culture of compliance across the charity whilst ensuring we adhere to all relevant regulations and laws.

Together with the Governance Manager, you will be the key point of contact for compliance, providing advice and support to the team and ensuring we have procedures and controls in place across all areas of the charity. This will include training to ensure the team is skilled and acting consistently, as well as identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing appropriate solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of compliance and be a point of contact for all compliance and data protection queries, providing accurate advice to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Develop and maintain robust procedures and structures that give the charity the ability to fulfil our regulatory requirements.
• Ensure the charity is aware of, and is reacting to, any fundraising, data protection and other compliance regulation changes, by understanding wider implications.
• Work to maintain a culture of compliance across the charity through the development of training and guidelines that are easy to understand and accessible.
• Conduct regular internal audits to ensure that compliance procedures and policy documents are followed and fit for purpose.
• Assess data risks and complete Data Protection Impact Assessments where needed.
• Assist the Governance Manager in producing ad hoc and annual compliance reports, as well as returns to the Charity Commission and Companies House, so that EHAAT meets their legal responsibilities.
• Update the charity’s data assets file.
• Review contracts and third-party agreements prior to signing to ensure they are in line with compliance regulations.
• Ensure adherence to Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice through the undertaking of fundraising  standards audits.
• Provide oversight for the timely management of leases and contracts.
• Ensure necessary insurances and contracts are in place to provide required suitable cover.
• EHAAT is a patient focused emergency medical charity. It is essential that all our staff are competent and confident in the delivery of CPR and use of an AED (defibrillator) in an emergency situation. For this reason, you will complete in house, CPR and AED awareness training annually.

An exciting opportunity for a proactive and passionate fundraiser to be part of Aspens vision to create an inclusive society.

Reporting to the Development Director, you’ll carry out key administrative tasks, growing the support and development function of the Charity; including stewardship communications with individual donors and creating assets for community supporters to generate food and financial resources. With the support of external consultants, you will assist the securing of income from grant giving trusts and foundations.

Main Duties:

● Develop strong individual donor relations through regular stewardship communications and powerful fundraising appeals, alongside establishing the associated data and systems; growing supporters.

● Create community development assets, which enables community groups to engage with and provide resources for the Charity, such as for charitable fundraising / food donation events.

● Together with the Development Director, secure income from, and maintain relations with grant giving trusts and foundations, including working alongside external consultants.

● Together with the Development Director, develop a team of volunteers who can support the work of the Charity’s development function.

● Support the Development Director in their communication with corporate partners, to build good relations, gain and maintain corporate partner support.

● Liaise with colleagues across the Trussell Trust network; sharing best practice and participating in learning opportunities, to further the work of Cambridge City Foodbank.

● Other administrative activities may be requested from time to time by the CEO, Development Director and senior staff, consistent with the needs of the Charity.

Personal Specification:

Technical skills and minimum knowledge:

● Strong administrative experience, highly organised, and able to effectively juggle multiple administrative tasks at the same time!

● Competent in the use of Zoom/Teams and MS Office software.

● Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills, you will inspire and motivate existing and prospective supporters, providing excellent stewardship and crafting compelling donor updates, applications and appeals.

NB. Experience of charitable fundraising is not essential when demonstrating the strong transferable skills above. Training will be provided.

About you

This role requires experience of assisting in managing a shop including knowledge of retail and health and safety legislation and administrative/cash handling experience.

You will also have an ability to deal with customers and maintaining a high level of customer service, have good verbal, written communication skills, as well as being comfortable using IT and EPOS reporting. You will have an ability to motivate yourself and others, have excellent organisational skills and be comfortable working under pressure and dealing with changing priorities.

The Role

About the role

The Hardman Trust supports people on long prison sentences to take their next steps in life. As the office, grants and programmes administrator your role is to help make this a reality through the day-to-day support of our work. You’ll help to ensure our programmes run smoothly, and that the staff have the administrative support they need to provide a quality service to people accessing our programmes. 

Your role will evolve over time, to reflect the changing needs of the charity, but will primarily involve office tasks (post, inboxes, phone calls), as well as the administration of our various programmes (letter writing, updating the database, record keeping). You will share an office with our office volunteers and one of our programme managers, and you will work closely with the broader team via online meetings.

You'll be based at our Waterloo office, a few minutes walk from Waterloo station. Hours can be flexible.

In 2023/4 CAG Devon expanded its geographic focus, becoming county-wide, and widening its topical focus. You will be coordinating the delivery of the new Community Action Groups (CAG) project in East Devon (see our parent project website, CAG Devon).

A CAG network provides community groups with the tools and support they need to thrive, such as support with governance, guidance, small grants, training and insurance, as well as opportunities for networking and sharing skills with other groups.

As CAG project coordinator for the East Devon area, you will be nurturing and supporting place-based community groups, so location is essential. The successful candidate must live in central or East Devon or be within a reasonable commuting distance of East Devon. Mileage will be paid for travel within the East Devon area.

You will liaise with the contract manager and the local authority representative and have experience and enthusiasm for sustainability, community development and grass roots activities. You’ll be joining a close-knit team, working with the CAG Devon Project Manager and Project Officer, and occasionally with our wider Resource Futures team.

What you will be doing

• Promoting the CAG Project across East Devon:
  • Establishing contact with communities and key people, through networking, attending and speaking at local events, writing posts, blogs and articles, and speaking to groups.
  • Contributing to the CAG Devon website and social media presence.
• Identifying the needs of local groups (with them), including the resources and plans needed to implement their community-based initiatives.
• Providing individual support to assist groups plan and implement their activities:
  • Guiding communities in the development of practical waste reduction and wider biodiversity and sustainability projects.
  • Providing advice on fundraising and project management for these projects.
  • Providing support to community groups and volunteers through identifying and organising appropriate training events, skill sharing sessions and individual support.
  • Supporting groups to engage with and make use of Resource CIT, CAG Devon’s current online monitoring and evaluation tool.
• Ensuring that the work meets the agreed objectives and targets of East Devon District Council and the objectives of the wider CAG Devon contract (with Devon County Council).
• Monitoring project progress and reporting quarterly on progress as well as compiling an end of year summary report, highlighting successes and making recommendations.
• Representing and promoting the project to external bodies as appropriate, acting as a representative for the wider CAG Devon project.
• Any other tasks as deemed appropriate to this post.

About the Role

The Help Desk Officer will provide technical support and assistance to the ESFSS team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operation of the InForm (Salesforce) system. The Help Desk Officer will support system users to utilise InForm software confidently, efficiently, and effectively.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the InForm client database, train new users and provide technical support and will produce reports, manipulate and analyse data and present findings in a meaningful way to a variety of audiences.

The current case management database software is InForm. InForm is a Salesforce platform designed by Homeless Link.

• Provide day-to-day technical support for InForm software.
• Provide inductions and training for all users of InForm software.

About You
