We're looking for a highly organised, independent and practical individual to join our small team as General Manager. You’ll oversee our core operations, provide support across our innovative programme, and help us to develop longer-term sustainability.
The General Manager will keep core operations running smoothly – across HR, finance and communications – as well as developing the company’s systems and policies to adapt to current and future needs. You’ll also be a key pillar of Coney’s culture and internal communications, fostering a supportive and empowering environment so that staff and freelancers can thrive.
Responsibilities:
HR & Operations
● Manage Coney’s operations, resources and materials to ensure our activities and processes are high-quality, fit for purpose and well-managed.
● Support the Directors to engender positive staff relations and good communication throughout the company, those representing it and its networks.
● Oversee Coney’s remote-working and office systems, including IT systems, schedules and other resources, ensuring that they are fit for purpose and cost-effective.
● Manage Coney’s statutory obligations with Companies House, the Charities Commission and other bodies and regulatory authorities, with support from the Directors.
● Maintain regular communication with Coney’s Trustees, ensuring that Board meetings, minutes, reports and information are prepared effectively and on time.
Financial
● Manage Coney’s day-to-day financial systems, including making bank payments and managing invoices receivable, supported by the Marketing & Admin Officer.
● Reconcile Coney’s bank accounts and input all financial activity into Quickbooks (including income & expenditure, credit cards, expenses, invoices payable, payments received) against the correct budget lines.
● Run payroll (including sending payslips and other pay documents, scheduling salary payments and reporting to HMRC) and ensure pensions, PAYE taxes and National Insurance are calculated and paid on time.
● Create and submit quarterly VAT returns using Quickbooks
Stakeholder Management & Fundraising
● Work alongside the JCEOs to maintain high level contact and dialogue with Coney’s key stakeholders.
● Manage Coney’s Friends scheme and support effective communication with funders.
● Alongside the rest of the core team, identify opportunities for fundraising, commercial projects and consultancy, building relationships and contributing to funding proposals as required.
Marketing & Communications
● Support the Marketing & Admin Officer and Executive Programme Director / JCEO to prepare and execute a marketing and communications plan – strategically positioning Coney’s work across communities and sectors.
● Support the Marketing & Admin Officer to ensure regular communication with Coney networks (newsletters, social media and other relationships) and produce effective communication and ticketing systems for events and projects as required.

Terms and benefits:

- Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 FTE, dependent on experience

Who we are
Arts for Dementia is a small charity but a leader in our field. We work with artists, galleries, museums and community spaces to offer inspiring arts programmes for people in the early stages of dementia and their companions. We train facilitators from around the country in early stage dementia awareness and how to deliver effective arts-based activities for people living with dementia. We also raise awareness of the value of the arts for people affected by dementia through our advocacy work.

Key responsibilities
Working with and supporting the Programmes and Communications Manager, alongside the Charity Administrator, to deliver creative programmes for people affected by dementia, including:
· Community research, specifically identifying potential partners and referrers for our creative programmes, including older adults organisations, arts organisations, NHS and memory services and community centres
· Community outreach and development, including contacting, building relationships and working with potential partners and referrers, with a key focus on improving the diversity of our network and participants
· Recruitment of workshop participants, particularly identifying key referrers and those working with people with dementia, visiting relevant organisations to raise awareness and share information, and gathering contact details of potential participants
· Participant communication and relationship-building, including reminding participants with dementia and family carers of upcoming sessions, being main point of contact for some programmes
· Co-ordinating creative programmes, including working with host organisations, artists and volunteers to set up the space, welcome participants, support them throughout the session, and ensure their enjoyment and safety
· Assisting at and eventually delivering our training to artists and learning teams from cultural organisations
· Supporting the work of the wider organisation, including our weekly online Art Wednesday sessions, events, exhibitions, fundraising events etc, as needed
· Assisting the Programmes and Communications Manager with volunteer and artist management as needed

XLP is a youth work charity working to create positive futures for young people and at the cutting edge of tackling poverty and educational failure in inner London. We deliver holistic, long-term work with young people aged 11 to 25 in schools and communities.
The Director of People and Operations will be at the forefront of implementing our commitment to excellence as we grow. Having transitioned from a £2m to £3m charity in recent years, growing from 30 to over 60 staff, with all the resulting complexities to teams, systems and processes, this position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and develop the charity’s HR, finance, workplaces, IT and governance functions, including line management responsibilities. With a head for excellence, excellent interpersonal skills, and a heart for social change, this position will ensure the smooth and efficient running of XLP, whilst also leading on our Equity, Diversity & Inclusion work, and shaping organisational culture. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will sit on the XLP Executive Team, alongside a Director of Youth Work and a Director of Fundraising.
The primary objective is to develop and support a culture of outstanding performance across XLP, and to ensure an excellent working environment and a well-supported team. In parallel, the role-holder will develop the operational processes, policies, and systems necessary to support an effective, impactful growing organisation. The Digital Transformation Manager leads THET’s efforts to transform our own programmes of work and the way THET operates, and also that of the Health Partnership community to better incorporate and enable best practice in digital solutions. The Digital Transformation Manager will work with teams across the organisation to consider how in every aspect of THET’s work we can transform our use of technology to achieve greater efficiencies and effectiveness, improve inclusivity and equity, and whilst reducing our carbon footprint. Digital Transformation is a key enabler for the organisation to help advance access to health services in low-and-middle-income countries, via activities such as building online communities, online learning for health workforces in complex and humanitarian settings, e-health, amongst others. This role will require engagement across the different departments of THET including programmes, and research, evidence and learning, and external engagement, as well as engaging with external stakeholders to drive and raise visibility of this agenda.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy
• Lead the review and delivery of THET’s digital transformation strategy.
• Lead and implement THET’s digital enablers to support the organisation’s strategic plan.
Product management
• Develop and enhance the user experience of both external and internal stakeholders across key digital products including the THET website, Pulse platform, learning platforms and bespoke applications.

Stakeholder and project management

Operations
• Manage third party providers including vendors and Managed Service Providers, ensuring compliance with SLA’s.

• Support the implementation of GDPR practices across THET in line with regulation and best practice.
Line Management
• Line manages the Digital Transformation Officer.

The Role
Global Greengrants Fund UK is looking to hire an energetic and passionate individual who will play a key role in collaborating across teams to support finance and grantmaking. They are responsible for the smooth running of all transactional processes for grants, payments, reconciliations, and financial reporting. They will also lead on any applicable system enhancements thus offering a critical and wide-ranging systems support role for the grantmaking charity. They will ensure that financial transactions are properly allocated, recorded, and maintained and assist in the preparation of audit data as well as supporting project reporting to aid in the preparation of the annual statutory audit and project reports.

The Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have significant relevant experience in a similar role in a charitable, environmental, development, social justice, feminist, gender, human rights, and/or grantmaking organisation. They demonstrate knowledge and experience in charity/nonprofit grant accounting/financial issues and dealing with both financial and grant information and processes, understand accounting principles, and have knowledge of accounting, grantmaking, and budgeting processes. They have cash management, banking, and payment experiences. They demonstrate excellent administrative and organisational skills, and the ability to ensure the accuracy of work and demonstrate precise attention to detail. They will have the skills to give, receive, and work with feedback constructively. They also thrive in a virtual environment, motivated to take on challenges and collaboratively find innovative and creative solutions. Multiple language skills would be ideal, while English fluency is a must.

• Support the Business Development & Engagement Officer to promote and communicate fundraising campaigns, events and new areas of focus.
• Be responsible for maintaining the BWW Mind website, creating and updating engaging content (using Wordpress)
• Produce Facebook and Google ads in line with promotional requirements of our services/projects.
• Identify and manage any issues arising on BWW Mind's social media feeds (in consultation with more senior staff as required), particularly where there is a reputational risk.
• Be involved in capturing images and video during events and activities for promotional purposes.
• Ensure that the organisation’s branding is upheld in all aspects of online communications, and that our outputs online comply with National Mind’s brand guidelines.
Communications
• Ensure that queries and comments presented through our social media channels are responded to in a timely way.
• Build strong relationships across the organisation and communicate with staff and volunteers to find out more about services and projects generating news stories.
• Edit information provided by staff and partners to communicate news clearly and effectively through the various online systems.
• Work with partner organisations including local press online contacts to ensure joined up digital communications.
• With other members of the Communications team, plan and organise activities to raise awareness of BWW Mind, tying in with other notable calendar events such as Mental Health Awareness Week.
• Alongside the Communications team, ensure that staff have an awareness of corporate guidelines with regards to use of email, social media and web content.
• Through the induction process, be involved in ensuring that new staff understand the importance of communications and how they can contribute to our organisational outputs.
Monitoring, evaluation and strategic direction
• Using Google analytics and statistical information generated on the back end of the different social media platforms, extract relevant data which identifies key trends and reasons why interaction may have increased or decreased and provide this to the DoBDI monthly, and assist in the production of quarterly reports for dissemination to committees and SMT.
• Work closely with internal staff to gain an understanding of which online approaches are most effective in reaching audiences and gaining buy in.
• Create systems to ensure that as an organisation we can ascertain the impact of our communications and focus our approaches accordingly.

THE ROLE
A key member of the team responsible for delivering and developing our new visitor offer at Hainault Forest, predominantly through the running of our Woodland Trust Visitor Centre. The role is responsible for helping to staff the visitor centre on a rota basis; providing an important meet & greet function to visitors as well as signposting, providing information about the site, recruiting members and undertaking retail transactions.
The Marketing and Communications Officer will lead on the marketing and communications aspects of the Hainault Forest visitor experience, ensuring that visitors have a high quality experience while here, and also raising the profile of the forest in the local community and beyond. This role will contribute to engaging people with the forest in a way that inspires them to take action and connect with our cause. Alongside partner colleagues at Vision Redbridge, they will develop and deliver an annual communications and marketing plan that fit our themes and propositions, creating opportunities for membership recruitment, fundraising and retail sales.
Our work at Hainault Forest is delivered in partnership with London Borough of Redbridge and Vision RCL.
This is a part time role (2.5 days per week) and a fixed term contract until May 2025.
THE CANDIDATE
You’ll have experience and knowledge of marketing and communications channels, ensuring they are utilised to engage effectively with different audiences. You’ll have a passion for helping others to see the value of the environment around them, and be a creative thinker who can work well collaboratively as part of a small, dedicated team.

BEO is a civil rights charity that was set up to challenge and dismantle systemic racism. We work with Black communities by using campaigning, policy and research in conjunction with the law to effect meaningful change.
Legal services are central to BEO. We are therefore looking for someone of 4yrs PQE who has experience in social welfare, human rights, public and administration law and who seeks an opportunity to use those skills specifically in the area of challenging systemic racism.
In the last year we have been developing our relationships with partner organisations, ranging from community groups, our stakeholder law firms, NGOs and law firms experienced in equality and discrimination law, to deliver legal services. The role holder will be required to build on and expand these relationships so that BEO can offer quality legal advice to Back communities in the nations and regions across the United Kingdom.
We are building our internal legal team so that we can provide targeted legal support to Black communities. We are looking for someone to work with the Director of Legal Services and Policy to ensure that high quality legal advice, support and representation are the hallmark of BEO.
Apart from delivering targeted legal advice and representation and identifying and running strategic litigation cases, the role holder will be required to think creatively to assist in fundraising and campaigning to develop a sustainable legal service. BEO does not have a Legal Aid Agency contract so self funds all legal work. BEO is a small team, so the role holder must have the skills and confidence to work on their own initiative as well as with members of other teams in BEO.
