We are seeking a proactive and strategic fundraiser to drive income growth and build lasting partnerships for the UK’s National trails.

Position: Fundraising Officer
Salary: £32,000 per annum
Location: Remote with occasional UK travel
Hours: Full time
Contract: 2 year fixed term contract

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a fundraising strategy focused on trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships and community engagement.

Working within a small, collaborative team, you will take ownership of funding applications and relationships, helping to grow income and shape the future of the organisation’s development function.

Key responsibilities include:

· Developing and growing the grants portfolio through research and networking

· Writing and submitting high quality funding applications for both core and project funding

· Building and managing relationships with corporate partners and sponsors

· Identifying and securing new partnership opportunities

· Supporting the development of individual giving, including regular giving and legacies

· Managing donor stewardship and maintaining strong relationships

· Engaging with members and supporting their fundraising activity where required

· Maintaining and developing the fundraising CRM database

· Keeping up to date with sector trends and opportunities

About You
You will be a confident, self-motivated fundraiser with a strong track record of securing income and building meaningful relationships.

You will have:

· Experience of trust and grant fundraising, including successful bid writing

· Experience developing and managing corporate partnerships

· Strong networking and relationship building skills

· Experience using charity CRM systems

· The ability to manage your own workload and work proactively

· A collaborative approach and ability to work within a small team

It would also be beneficial if you have:

· Knowledge of membership or infrastructure organisations

· An interest in outdoor access, heritage, or environmental sectors

· Experience working remotely and managing your own schedule

The charity is the independent champion of the UK’s National Trails – iconic long-distance walking, cycling and riding routes. Connecting people to nature and the outdoors while advocating for accessible, sustainable trail experiences. Since their formation in 2021, they’ve grown quickly with an ambitious vision for a high quality, nature-rich National Trail network used and valued by all.

Role Overview:

This is an engaging opportunity for a fundraising professional to contribute to impactful campaigns over a six-month period. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and execution of key fundraising initiatives, including flagship campaigns and community challenge events.

Person Specification:

• Experience in supporter or mass fundraising campaigns, focusing on acquiring, engaging, and retaining donors or supporters.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and deliver results within a structured environment.
• Strong relationship-building skills that enable collaboration with supporters and stakeholders at different levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret data and craft compelling messaging.
• Resourceful, adaptable, and capable of solving problems creatively within a team setting.
• Knowledge of UK fundraising regulations, GDPR, and supporter data management best practices.

What’s on Offer:

• Salary: £35,000 pro rata

As the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Officer for Nottinghamshire you will be responsible for:

·Providing high quality stewardship to individual supporters, groups and businesses within the community, ensuring relationships are developed and maintained at a high standard.

·Representing Jerry Green Dog Rescue as the first point of contact within the community for Nottinghamshire, promoting our mission, vision, and values alongside fundraising and volunteering opportunities.

·Work with your team to recruit, induct and train volunteers to support fundraising and other relevant initiatives locally in the community.

·Acting as an ambassador for Jerry Green Dog Rescue, and living our values in everything you do, with your colleagues, supporters and volunteers.

Harris Hill has an exciting opportunity for a Fundraising and Marketing Officer, to join an international charity from 9th March for 2-3 months, to cover a leaver and interim recruitment period.

The role is full time, on a hybrid basis, with one day per week being either a Tuesday or a Thursday. This day may need to change week to week.

As Philanthropy Officer, you will build strong, lasting relationships with individuals, families and organisations, helping them to achieve their philanthropic goals while increasing charitable income and delivering meaningful impact in communities across Wales.

• Proven experience in a philanthropy or fundraising relationship management role.
• Ability to identify and develop new philanthropic opportunities, including prospecting and converting new donors.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of developing, managing and growing relationships.
• Strong communication, evidencing excellent customer relationship with a focus on trust, respect, confidentiality and attention to detail alongside the ability to juggle multiple relationships simultaneously.
• Confidence speaking publicly to a variety of audiences.
• High levels of motivation, be results-driven and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Experience of producing compelling reports, narrative and presentations alongside creating tailored donor experiences to inspire donors.
