Community Fundraising Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and talented fundraising team

We are looking for an experienced Community Fundraising Manager to join our small and friendly fundraising team. You will be responsible for driving our strategy for Community Fundraising, Individual/Regular Giving and Events. With a database of around 100,000 registrants and 15,000 members, these existing income streams have lots of great potential. We have amazing fundraisers in our community who take on challenges like the London Marathon, London to Brighton bike ride, or their own swimming challenge and there’s lots of great potential amongst our supporters, including our committed members and regular givers.

Contract:  Permanent
Hours:  30 hours per week (negotiable for the right candidate)
Flexibility: We are a flexible employer and most of our staff are juggling things (including caring for multiples!) We are great at making jobs work around life.
Salary: £31,000 - £33,000 (pro rata)
Reports to: Head of Development 
Work location: Hybrid/remote. Office space in London Bridge, although entirely remote option is fine. Travel to events will also be required.

Purpose of the role

• Grow a successful existing income stream (Fundraising Events and Regular Giving) and develop and grow a comparatively new income stream (Community Fundraising and Individual Giving) for Twins Trust. You will do this alongside other fundraisers in the team and with support from a Fundraising Officer.
• Lead and develop a multi-year strategy for growing our Community and Events programmes, with a well-planned calendar of events throughout the year covering different themes and geographies.
• Lead the strategy for our Individual/Regular Giving programme
• Lead on the creation, planning and delivery of a new Twins Trust owned mass participation fundraising event
• Provide strategic support and guidance to our Fundraising Officer to implement the annual raffle, ongoing Lottery programme and Individual Giving programme.
• Work closely with other teams across Fundraising, Membership and Communications to spot opportunities to maximise income and drive new projects forward
• Provide exceptional relationship management and stewardship to fundraisers in our community to make them feel appreciated, maximise income raised and encourage repeat fundraising

Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing a strategy for Community They will be able to demonstrate how they have delivered one or more of these income streams and grown these programmes significantly, providing excellent stewardship to fundraisers.

Essential

• Significant experience of leading a 6 figure multi-year community fundraising strategy including forecasting and monitoring income and expenditure
• Experience of leading community, events, or Individual/Regular Giving fundraising - taking ownership and achieving growth in scale and income
• Experience of creating and delivering a new medium to large scale (£25k plus) fundraising event, maximising all commercial opportunities within it
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Ability to manage several projects at the same time
• Experience working in a CRM and analysing data to inform decision-making (Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus)

Fundraising lead (fixed term 12-month contract, 0.4 FTE i.e. 14 hours a week)

JustMoney Movement is seeking a part-time Fundraising lead to help us grow a more sustainable funding base. The role will work with senior staff to develop our strategic case for support to target small organisational/ institutional donors (£1-5k grants/ donations).

We are a Christian charity using education and advocacy to work towards our vision of a fairer, greener future, through the transformation of our financial system and wider economy. We want to grow and diversify our funding base, reducing our dependence on a small number of grants, and building a movement of allies who feel part of the community and are willing to financially support it.

The Fundraising lead will work with senior staff to develop a case for support for our overall strategy and use this to target small organisational/ institutional donors including small trusts; corporates and organisations; and churches. 

Role description

· Grade 3.1 expected FTE salary £35,700 pro-rated to 0.4 FTE/ 14 hours a week = £14,280 (subject to annual inflationary pay review).

· Fixed term 12-month contract. This post has funding for 1 year.  If successful, there could be scope to extend the role for longer.

· Remote based: this role will be based from home, with occasional travel to meetings in London or elsewhere in the UK, for which expenses will be payable. This role is equivalent to 2 days a week but hours can be worked flexibly through the week.

· This role requires applicants to have the right to live and work in the UK.

Role Requirements

· Develop and deliver JustMoney Movement’s core fundraising strategy for small organisational/ institutional donors (donations/ grants of between £1-5k) targeting small trusts, organisations, corporates and churches.

· Work with senior staff to create a ‘case for support’ for JustMoney Movement’s overall strategy.

· Identify, develop and steward relationships with aligned small trusts, organisations, corporates and churches (in conjunction with other staff, especially the Executive Director [ED] and Director of Movement Building [DMB]).

· Maintain contacts and work with others in the team to develop appropriate systems and processes to support this area of fundraising.

As a key part of the Nene Park Trust Fundraising Team, you will assist the Team to raise income for Nene Park Trust, supporting them to deliver their work as efficiently as possible. Job Summary

To drive development of CEM’s fundraising strategy and oversee its implementation. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Identifying the most fruitful new avenues of funding from a range of Christian cultures, including individual donors, trusts and grant-making bodies

The Director of Fundraising will need to demonstrate a track record of success in increasing organisational funding — this is not a skillset CEM currently has and we will be relying on the successful candidate to bring a robust knowledge of best practice. We are looking for a strategic thinker who will bring clarity and simplicity to our fundraising efforts, targeting donors wisely and treating them with respect.

CEM is a very relational organisation which operates with a high level of consensus. The Role
The Head of Fundraising is a pivotal leadership role, reporting to the CEO and joining the SMT.

As Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will manage a high-performing team of four staff: Database & Donor Manager, Communications & Engagement Manager. Community & Events Officer and the International Development Manager. Your key priority is to raise the income required as per the agreed annual income budgets for the organisation, managing all relevant income streams that include Trusts & Foundations, Events & Community, Corporate, Statutory, International and Individual Giving. You do not need to demsontrate an expertise in all of these streams. You are also responsible for ensuring that all communications messaging is strengthening our brand and engaging our supporters.

Finally, you are an active member participating in the Senior Management Team contributing insights and strategies that align with the charity’s development goals. By engaging in this leadership role, the Head of Fundraising and Communications role will help to drive the charity's mission forward, ensuring long-term sustainability and impact.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Corporate Partnerships Officer to join our dynamic fundraising team. The Sutton Trust is at an exciting point in our organisational journey, with a new Chairperson and ambitions to significantly grow our impact and fundraising as part of our 2030 strategy.

Over the past five years the impact of the Sutton Trust has increased, especially in our programme numbers, securing a relatively stable income of c.£6m over a number of years. In recent years this has grown to c.£7m, and our organisational strategy to 2030/31 will continue this fundraising trajectory to increase income to £12m. With corporate income accounting for nearly half our fundraising, there is considerable enthusiasm and opportunity in the corporate world for building strategic partnerships with The Sutton Trust.

Our fundraising approach will continue to focus on major gifts and strategic multi-year partnerships, leveraging a range of drivers to secure corporate support. We have a strong portfolio of existing supporters primarily from the legal, banking, and finance sectors, and our strategy involves expanding our reach into other sectors to support increased social mobility in UK businesses.

The Corporate Partnerships Officer will join a small and high-performing Corporate Partnerships team, taking over a portfolio of corporate partners and prospects at our ‘consortium’ partner level, ranging from £10k-£50k per annum.

You will identify, engage, secure, and steward corporate partner prospects from sectors that include law, construction, manufacturing and logistics, as well as supporting other team members across different sectors as the need arises. The existing portfolio of partners are primarily legal firms who also engage with our impactful programmes, and you will also have personal and team new business targets and support senior team members to steward our flagship partners.

We are looking for a fundraiser who is keen to develop their corporate fundraising skills, especially building relationships with delivery partners, strategic funders, and corporate foundations. Our ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, a confident communicator, and able to work independently under their own initiative as well as within the team.

The role will be line managed by the Head of Corporate Partnerships, working closely with other members of the Corporate Partnerships team, and collaboratively across the wider Development team and Employability Programmes team. 

Main duties

New business

• Personally scope, develop and secure new corporate partnerships at consortium level (£10k-£50k), aiming for a robust portfolio of partners in assigned sectors with multi-year commitments, working with the Head of Corporate Partnerships and other relevant stakeholders to appropriately to secure and steward.
• Support the Head of Corporate Partnerships to engage in proactive new business development within the corporate sector, including support for network mapping with senior volunteers.
• Manage writing and submission of reports and proposals for grants to corporate foundations, working alongside other Development team and wider organisation members to ensure high-quality submissions.
• Alongside team members, manage the shared Development inbox to ensure all enquiries are dealt with in a prompt, consistent, and friendly manner.
• Follow all relevant policies and processes to ensure due diligence is completed for all prospective donors, account management plans are kept up to date, and corporate partners receive high-quality stewardship.

Account Management and Development

• Manage and grow the portfolio of ‘consortium’ level corporate partnerships, including leveraging existing relationships to maximise financial income and partnership longevity.
• Support senior team members on designated high-value partnerships, including specific administrative and project tasks, e.g. coordinating meetings and webinars, attending programme visits, event invites, and volunteering opportunities.
• Write and deliver engaging and high-quality partnership proposals and reports for new and existing ‘consortium’ level funders, working with the wider Development team and relevant other Sutton Trust teams as appropriate.
• Be accountable for achieving agreed corporate income targets, looking for opportunities to grow funding and diversify corporate income.

Fundraising, Finance and Reporting

• Act as an ambassador for the Trust with external audiences in the corporate space, representing the Trust with confidence and enthusiasm to secure major gifts and develop relationships.
• Ensure the Trust’s CRM (Salesforce), account management plans, and all relevant income pipeline documents are kept appropriately up to date with activity from corporate partners, including accurate income forecasting.
• Attend appropriate meetings, such as the Employer Working Group, to represent the corporate team and portfolio of partners, and share information with colleagues across the Trust.
• Work with colleagues to support delivery of impactful events to cultivate prospects and steward partners, with a focus on experience for corporate partners and prospects.
• Appropriately follow policies and procedures on due diligence, Salesforce and data management, account management, stewardship, and reporting.
• Stay up to date with corporate fundraising best practice, learning from senior members of the corporate team, and keep abreast of developments and opportunities within the wider fundraising space.

Terms of Appointment
