The role
Effective financial management is central to our strategy and operating model. The Finance Manager will be crucial in determining how we manage our finances, resources and operations whilst embedding a culture of financial efficiency and effective controls.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Interim Finance Manager will lead on financial matters and be expected to provide critical financial information, insightful analysis and timely reporting to facilitate the growth of the Charity.
The role is standalone but working within a closeknit team. It with therefore have a degree of autonomy but will be expected to contribute to the wider development of the Charity. This is a pivotal appointment within the Charity and will provide some broad exposure to the Board and Investment Committee.
We are therefore seeking a dynamic qualified accountant who has had wide exposure to financial reporting and processes, preferably within a fundraising Charity. Being a financial ‘all rounder’, there is a real opportunity to contribute to the way the Charity operates by instilling sound financial operations and providing meaningful financial reporting. The role provides an opportunity to lead the finance function and will suit a progressive accountant looking for this kind of responsibility.
We would therefore be looking for an individual that has demonstrable experience in operating financial functions and has the personality to fit within a charity that works collaboratively.

The Candidate
Track record of working on successful digital marketing, campaigns and communications ideally in a charity setting.
Experience of delivering digital marketing strategy and campaign management for lead generation, acquisition and retention that is audience-centric, rooted in insight and target driven.
Experience of working across a range of digital channels including paid and organic social media, Google Ads , web and email.
Hands-on experience of working with digital production, service providers and platforms to identify and deliver best-in-class digital solutions.
Experience of digital and data reporting and analysis, with track-record of acting on insights to achieve KPls and income targets.
Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders to support their digital marketing planning and communication delivery.

The Role

Sebastien discovered ClientEarth while studying anthropology and law at university. The high-leverage legal approach to achieve tangible progress on the climate and biodiversity crisis was immediately appealing. Since joining ClientEarth as a Philanthropy Officer, Sebastien has progressed to the Philanthropy Manager position where he supports and oversees two members of the Philanthropy Team. He has found that working in the Philanthropy Team has been a fantastic way to support ClientEarth's mission while learning about the world and developing skills in relationship management and communication.
Main Duties
- Actively manage donor relationships across assigned portfolio of largely UK supporters with first class stewardship and reporting to secure renewals and uplifts of approximately £500,000 pa.
- Support with oversight of engagement with supporters ranging from £10,000 - £50,000. Galvanise and coordinate the European Philanthropy team to identify opportunities to uplift giving and ensure all supporters feel valued.
- Develop the pipeline of new donors through effective prospect research, network mapping and connecting with new contacts at external and internal events as a representative of ClientEarth.
- Support the Philanthropy Manager, Philanthropy Lead for Europe and all the Philanthropy Team to create the conditions for success in the European Philanthropy Team. Collaborating with colleagues across Europe inclusively to achieve shared goals and strengthen processes.

ROLE PURPOSE:
The Director of Fundraising and Communications is a member of the Executive Team. This is ShelterBox's most senior management team, with overall responsibility for leading, planning and managing the work and development of ShelterBox.
You will be responsible for the delivery of our current 5 year organisational strategy 2022-27 as well as the implementation of the departmental Fundraising and Communications strategy, driving continued ambitious growth in our reach, engagement and fundraising. You will also play a leading role in driving the development of the next 5-year strategy for 2027 onwards.
You will work with the wider organisation and stakeholders to represent Fundraising and Communications and ensure the team are supported and able to thrive.
This is a role for a dynamic senior fundraising and communications specialist, who will bring significant experience within the sector. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will develop and implement a strategy that builds foundations for growth and drives a bold and confident ShelterBox of the future. You will take full accountability for the successful delivery of income forecasts and expenditure budgets. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking a highly experienced fundraising and communications expert, who has a passion for storytelling and building impactful relationships. You must be able to hit the ground running, have a strong record of developing and leading successful teams by building highly effective relationships. This role is all about inspiring leadership, strategic innovation, and maximising every opportunity to grow our vital work.
Experience and understanding of the humanitarian sector is desirable, as is an understanding of current fundraising opportunities and challenges, ethical storytelling and communication trends. This includes an understanding of the competitive fundraising environment in the sector, following announcements by some government donors. The need for emergency shelter around the world is vast and growing daily. This role must understand and drive ambitious and effective ways to communicate our specialist focus on shelter and the tangibility of our offer to current and future supporters.
The role will support the Fundraising and Communications department to deliver 2025/2026 plans, as well as implement the longer-term fundraising and communications strategy, seizing all opportunities in an ever-changing landscape.
As well as leading the UK team, working with colleagues from different countries to grow international fundraising, requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to a long-term diplomatic approach.

You will be results oriented and be confident using data and insight to inform decision making and drive our fundraising to the next level. - Embed a culture of data and insight driven decision making, innovation and collaboration.

- Represent and act as an ambassador for ShelterBox externally, including with strategic partners like Rotary, and our community of incredible supporters. This includes taking part in media interviews to promote our work to a wide audience.
- Work closely across the department and affiliate teams to deepen understanding of our audiences, using data and sector insights to better target and grow these audience groups and increase lifetime value.
- Keep up to date with sector trends and developments, and particularly work with the CEO office to build networking and profile-building opportunities.
As a senior team leader and people manager at ShelterBox
- Actively demonstrate the importance of staff development in line with ShelterBox's policies and procedures, for example by undertaking regular 1:1 meetings with direct reports and investing in performance management.
- Model ShelterBox's values through behaviours and leadership and build on what is a great senior leadership team in the Fundraising and Communications Department

· Lead on the strategic planning and implementation of income generation activities to help build sustainability of The Carers’ Centre and its services for 19,600 unpaid carers across Bath and North East Somerset.
· Develop and implement a stewardship programme for donors and funders building support and securing new income for The Carers’ Centre.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues to help deliver The Carers’ Centre vision for carers.
Income generation
· Design and deliver a diverse income generation plan to support philanthropy and fundraising in line with The Carers’ Centre Strategic Plan.
· Co-produce annual philanthropy and fundraising targets and take the lead responsibility to instigate and co-ordinate the activity that will achieve them.
· Build long-lasting relationships with key local philanthropists, donors, and funders.
· Work proactively with colleagues to research, identify and scope a portfolio of compelling projects and proposals that will appeal to donors and funders.
· Work closely with communication colleagues to develop appropriate communications campaigns and activities for different supporter groups.
· Contribute towards the charity’s communications and marketing strategy ensuring fundraising is embedded.

Main purpose of post
An Appeal Support Officer is required to support the activity associated with a
major appeal for the charity. The appeal will raise £1.85m enabling a step change
in our support of Weston Park Cancer Centre.
Reporting to and working closely with our Senior Major Donor & Philanthropy
Manager, Appeal Consultant and Head of Fundraising, you will support the
coordination of appeal activity planning, as we undertake the public phase of the
appeal.
Supporting our established Appeal Board, you will coordinate communications,
prospecting and stewardship management of our major donor growth
programme and portfolio, as we build up both our private fundraising phase and
undertake our wider public fundraising activity.
You will help bring together a range of different public fundraising activities
planned for the next 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
Support management of the appeal prospects portfolio, including research,
due diligence checks, profiles development and relationship management
plans.
Coordinate and manage the appeal plan, including all facets of both the
private and public fundraising phases, liaising with appointed agencies and
contractors.
Directly support the Appeal Board with communication, prospecting and
donor management planning, under the direct supervision and guidance of
the Senior Major Donor & Philanthropy Manager and Appeal Consultant.
Act as a single point of contact for public appeal enquires and coordination
of supportive fundraising activity across the internal teams.
Assist in the formulation of personalised stewardship plans and establish
effective systems to collate information about prospective and current

At Scripture Union, we’re looking for two experienced and driven fundraisers to join our team. The fundraising team work to a target of around £2m per year, generated from a range of channels and segments. We’re looking for two more people to grow this team as we expand our mission to reveal Jesus to the younger generations in England and Wales.
About the roles
We’re looking for two fundraisers to tackle the following areas:

Individual Giving, working to maintain and grow our portfolio of donors giving between £10pa - £1,500 pa each.

Fundraising Innovation, coming up with fresh new ideas that will generate more income for the mission that take us beyond our tried and tested fundraising activities.
Between them, the two roles account for 1.8 FTE, and we’re flexible about how that’s allocated. It could be that both roles work 4.5 days a week each, or one full time and the other four days. We’re open to suggestions as we seek the right candidates for the team.
The salary for both roles will be £31,500 - £34,800 per annum for an FTE.
