The project aims to identify those in Welfare, Health, Wellbeing, Employment, housing, and/or food crisis who have had unresolved issues over a prolonged period and provide support for them to overcome the immediate crisis and work towards longer-term stability

The Advice and Advocacy Officer will provide holistic advice and advocacy to guests, supporting them on issues such as debt, welfare, housing, employment, and business support, in a trauma-informed and empowering way.

The postholder will be a key part of growing the Hub’s  Advice and Advocacy/ Pastoral / Wrap-around services, working as a team with our partners, providing support to guests and volunteers.

• Working with a Caseload of Guests on a 1-1 and group basis and providing support via multiple channels, including Telephone, Email, In Person, virtually, and other project locations, develop action/support plans

• Working with a caseload of guests to provide support/signpost

•  Facilitate group workshops, Coffee Mornings, and information sessions

• Provide Information, advice, guidance, and resilience

• Support for people facing hardship.

• Providing Support, Supervision, mentoring, and guidance to Volunteers in our Advice and Advocacy / Pastoral Teams

• Facilitate workshops ( Job Club/ Community Cafe/ Coffee Morning/ Information sessions  ) and Group Sessions - in person/ virtually

The CMV Connect Project Coordinator role is designed to enhance the charity's outreach and support initiatives, focusing on building and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals, families, and the broader community. This position involves coordinating projects that aim to increase awareness, provide resources, and support families affected by cCMV.  This role is a part time role funded by National Lottery Community Fund.  It is a freelance contractor role, as it is a contract for services. 

CMV Action is a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting families affected by congenital cytomegalovirus (cCMV), a leading cause of childhood disabilities such as deafness, developmental delays, and vision impairment. The charity provides information, advocacy, and support to raise awareness and improve outcomes for those impacted by cCMV, both during pregnancy and in babies and children.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Coordination: Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of CMV Connect initiatives, ensuring they align with the charity's objectives.  Work with other Operation Team members and report to the Board fortnightly.
• Supporting families: Work with the trustees to follow up on those we support and identify how we can support them in the future. Work with volunteers to organise in-person and online opportunities for families to meet up.

Working Conditions

The Finance & HR Lead

We are looking for a Finance & HR Lead to take charge of the financial health of our charity by administering a high quality and effective financial management service to The OutHouse. The OutHouse is going through a period of change and we need a finance practitioner who is able to support the organisation in its financial management. This peer support project is delivered in partnership with South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust to support Carers of people with mental health conditions.  This project will work to support Carers through one-to-one support, outreach, training and peer support groups.

About The Role: 

Using your lived experience of caring for someone with a mental health condition, and a strengths-based approach, you will support mental health Carers in their caring role.  You will provide person centred one-to-one- support, information, signposting, and advocacy, develop, and facilitate peer support groups and deliver training and outreach sessions at different locations across the borough.

Context and purpose of role

We are looking for a Digital and Website Officer to join our Campaigns and Communications Team. The role holder will take a leading role in digital marketing, optimising our website using a data-led approach, and maintaining our digital asset management system.

Working with colleagues across the Supporter Engagement & Experience division and the wider business, they will also contribute to the development and delivery of marketing activities that deliver against brand and income targets.

They will work to upskill people across the organisation – including volunteers - to achieve greater impact with digital communications.

Key responsibilities

• Website – act as the GB web admin, working in partnership with the Digital Technical team to manage user journeys and ensure content is high quality and search engine optimised in line with the website strategy.

• Digital marketing – Create and implement digital marketing activity in line with the agreed digital strategy and against agreed return on investment targets. Create and implement digital marketing plans to support advocacy and marketing initiatives for our programmes using relevant digital channels for the target audience

• Content development – source / develop content and assets such as case studies, videos, blogs and images to drive engagement across digital channels including the Ramblers app. Ensure all content is of high quality, permissioned and easy for colleagues to find within the digital asset management system.

• Insight– undertake regular reporting and apply data insights to shape content, campaign and creative outputs, applying a test and learn approach.

You’ll be working with Christ Church Clifton to manage the delivery of Resurgo's award-winning Spear Programme. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Foundation

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that Spear Trainees are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme
• Building relationships with Trainees on the programme and managing culture and attitudes in the training room
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively

Delivery of Spear Career

• Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with trainees who are in their year of support), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees

Training the Graduate Coach

• Contributing towards the training and development of the Graduate Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback

Trainee Recruitment

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics

Continuous professional development

• Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and supporting the Church Partnerships Managers with overall team training and development

Personal qualities we're looking for:

• An active Christian, passionate about personally representing the values of Resurgo and Christ Church Clifton
• Demonstrable experience as a coach, or a background in youth work or teaching, and a keenness to develop these skills further
• Passion for social justice and for working as part of the church to transform communities, especially supporting young people in employment or education
• Effective interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence with a sense of humour and fun.
• Strong at building relationships, with excellent communication skills
• Good administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload, exercise initiative and work well under pressure

The charity offers a flexible working environment, with hybrid working, and an expectation to work from their Vauxhall office one day per month.

This new role will be responsible for helping to develop and manage the legacy and in memory programmes. As the Senior Legacy and In Memory Executive you will have the opportunity to develop and grow the Legacy and In Memory, helping shape our strategy to recruit, engage and steward legacy pledgers and in memory donors. You will be responsible for managing and delivering a range of In Memory and legacy campaigns across multiple communication channels including email, social and print. You will also be responsible for stewarding existing in memory supporters and legacy pledgers, developing and delivering engaging communications in order to maximise lifetime value. 

Key Responsibilities:

· Support the Legacy and In Memory Manager with developing the strategy and budget.

· Responsible for managing the monthly budget report for expenditure.

· Responsible for developing campaigns to market the legacy and in memory areas to our supporters.

· To work with the Legacies and In Memory Manager to develop a supporter acquisition, stewardship and retention plan.

·  Responsible for tracking and monitoring the agreed KPI’s reporting monthly on activity and targets. To use this analysis to review the portfolio of activity quarterly with the Legacy and In Memory Manager and make recommendations about future marketing activity.

· To work collaboratively with other teams in the Fundraising, Comms and Policy directorate to cross sell legacies and support all teams with their in-memory fundraisers.

· To work closely with the Supporter Care team to ensure all donors and next of kin are thanked appropriately and that a relevant stewardship programme is put into place.

· Work collaboratively with the Digital Engagement and Mobilisation team to ensure that all agreed marketing activity is delivered as agreed on time and budget. To ensure that all legacy and in memory enquiries are responded to promptly and professionally.

· Work with the CRM and Supporter Care team to ensure that all Legacy and In Memory data on The Raiser’s Edge database is accurate, valuable and kept up to date.

Person Specification:

· Experience of managing successful programmes and campaigns to recruit and retain legacy and in memory supporters through a variety of channels

· Experience of working to and achieving financial targets

· A self-starter, able to work on own initiative but also able to work within a team and achieve strong results.

· Experience of cultivating supporters through effective stewardship programmes.

· Experience of CRM database such as Raiser’s Edge to record, inform and analyse data.

· Experience of creating stewardship plans for supporters

· An interest in and commitment to the long-term success and development of Refuge.

The post-holder will be responsible for deliver a range of support interventions for people newly diagnosed with HIV, and those re-engaging in their HIV care, who may be identified via Emergency Department Opt-Out testing in Liverpool.
