Since its establishment in 2006, ROLDA has become a beacon of hope for the millions of vulnerable stray animals in Romania – one of Europe's economically poorest nations. Our mission is to manage the homeless animal population, estimated to be millions, through six key focuses: rescue, rehabilitation, sheltering, sterilisation, and education. Within our shelters, inspired by British kennel design and maintained to meet EU animal welfare standards, we can house up to 700 stray dogs at a time. Here, they receive complete veterinary care, rehabilitation, and preparation for rehoming. Since 2006, we have helped over 48,000 animals (primarily dogs and cats) and built two shelters for dogs and one for disabled and senior cats. We also distribute support, primarily through small grants, to six other charities in Romania and over 40 shelters in Ukraine. We rehome mainly in Switzerland, Sweden, and the UK. In addition to our efforts in rescuing and rehoming animals, ROLDA tackles the root cause of Romania's homeless animals through comprehensive neutering programmes and educational initiatives. We are looking for a Head of Resources to join our team.
Emmaus Bristol is a local charity, working to help people out of homelessness. The work we do here changes lives.
This is a new role for Emmaus Bristol. Through our five-year-planning process we identified a new staffing
structure that will allow our charity to thrive and to grow. The Head of Resources is needed so that the core organisation runs smoothly, and policies, processes and systems allow the team to do their jobs efficiently and effectively. This will be crucial as we develop new streams of work, and help more people out of homelessness or into work.
The Head of Resources therefore, will have a key role to play in making Emmaus Bristol an effective charity.
This is a senior leadership role, but as we are a small charity, all roles are somewhat hands-on. You’ll need to be as confident discussing our reserves policy with trustees, as you would be resolving a cash discrepancy with a retail team member, and just as good at strategy as you are at detail.
You will be joining a friendly and enthusiastic team who are passionate about what they do, and you will be making a huge difference to people’s lives.
To empower people affected by homelessness and poverty to change their lives for the better whilst using our voice to achieve social change

Contract: This is a fixed term contract opportunity for 12 months.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are
interested, please submit your application as early as possible.

We’re an award-winning charity that runs local learning centres in the heart of communities where the young
people we support live. Our centres provide an innovative education programme which includes practical learning
support and motivational and confidence-building activities for children and young people aged 7-18. Our aim is
to inspire students from the least advantaged neighbourhoods to broaden their horizons and achieve their full potential.
As the UK’s leading university access organisation, our staff team is helping thousands of young people each
year. We have forty-one centres and extension projects across England and Scotland, with ambitious plans to
scale-up our provision further over the coming years.
We are looking for a high-calibre candidate to take up a fixed-term, maternity cover role as Centre Leader at our
IntoUniversity centre in Weston-super-Mare. You will have responsibility for running your IntoUniversity centre, including
managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders and meeting
IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery. A substantial element of this role is delivering our education programme to children
and young people aged 7-18, so you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young
people, including leading a class of 30 from the front, working with small teams of children and providing one-to-one support.
As a charity with social mobility as its core objective, IntoUniversity is wholly committed to equality of opportunity. We work with children and young people from a diverse range of backgrounds, and we believe that our staff team should be similarly diverse and representative.
The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be,and we recognise that we have much more to do in this regard. We are committed to building a culture where students, staff and volunteers are valued for the unique people they are. We therefore encourage applications from candidates from as wide a range as possible of ethnic, cultural and social backgrounds. In particular, we actively and warmly welcome applications from Black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, male candidates and candidates with a disability as they are currently under-represented within IntoUniversity.
If you believe that all young people deserve the chance to develop their talents regardless of their background and want to play a part in helping them succeed, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
