This pivotal role will work with a talented team to create unique, high-performing income-generating and cultivation events, bringing the Charity’s work to life for high value audiences. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of high-profile events, including leading on creating and delivering event concepts, working with key internal and external stakeholders, supplier management, event briefings and evaluating the event’s impact.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to create innovative event concepts and programmes to engage new and existing high-value supporters.
- Lead on the relationship with the Breast Cancer Now Toby Robins Research Centre to deliver best in class research tours that delight, engage and inspire high-value supporters. This includes building relationships with stakeholders to effectively deliver recognition, stewardship and cultivation plans to ensure long term success.
- Work with the High Value Events team to support the Campaign board and team on the creation and delivery of Campaign-specific events.
- Ensure the opportunities are delivered on time and on budget, with clear and tight objectives and that they are working as hard as possible for the high value audience.
- Develop key external relationships, including high-value supporters, suppliers and event committees, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth event delivery.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in managing large-scale fundraising events, for high-net-worth audiences.
- Proven experience of successfully building relationships with high value supporters, senior volunteers, event committees and event attendees.
- Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving capability.

About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Shop Supervisor to make a difference and deliver positive social impact in the local community while also raising money to fund Crisis’ work ending homelessness.
As a Shop Supervisor, you will support the Shop Manager and Assistant Shop Manager to deliver an outstanding customer experience. Cynthia Spencer Hospice, based in Northampton, is seeking a Head of Commercial to lead and implement a commercial strategy to maximise profitable income streams in support of the Hospice’s work.
In conjunction with the NHS, the Hospice provides care for people with life limiting illnesses both at its hospice and in the community. This care is funded by the NHS with the charity raising extra funds to provide a range of supporting programmes.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior retail professional to bring an entrepreneurial vision and shape this area of income for the charity. You will be responsible for managing their current commercial businesses and seeking out new, exciting commercial opportunities to support annual profit growth. You will also inspire and manage a diverse team of staff and volunteers and ensuring delivery of project milestones and financial targets.
The successful candidate will have retail sector management and development at a senior level, alongside experience of e-commerce, multi-site management and strategic planning and development. You will have a proven track record in people management across paid and volunteer resource and the charity would like to see evidence of driving profit improvement by at least 20% within a three year period. Alongside your strong commercial and financial acumen, you will have plenty of ideas about new business opportunities and/or experience of development and trialling of new business and alternative trading models. Finally, you will be results focused, entrepreneurial and innovative, whilst having a commitment to the aim and ethos of the Hospice.

ABOUT TRAIN
TRAIN is a youth work charity based in South Oxfordshire. We support young people aged 10 to 18 in Didcot, Wallingford and the surrounding areas, especially those who are under-served.
Young people in our communities are facing complex challenges. Mental health struggles, pressures at school, family instability and the impact of poverty can leave them feeling isolated or overlooked. Too often, they don’t have access to the right support at the right time. TRAIN exists to change that. ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a key support role in a small, values-driven charity. While most people know TRAIN for its youth work, the smooth running of our organisation depends on good systems, clear admin and reliable behind-the-scenes support. That’s what this role is about.
As Charity Support Officer, you’ll take care of the day-to-day admin that keeps us organised, while also supporting projects and events that help TRAIN grow. Some responsibilities are regular — such as finance processing, HR and volunteer onboarding, responding to enquiries and keeping records accurate. Others will vary week to week, from preparing a funder report to liaising with contractors on a website update or helping coordinate the Didcot Youth Festival.
We’re looking for someone who is organised, adaptable and comfortable juggling different tasks. You won’t be expected to lead major projects or make big decisions, but you will be the first port of call for the small, steady tasks that make a big difference. JOB DESCRIPTION
Core (day-to-day focus)
- Communications and enquiries – be the first point of contact for general enquiries via email and social media, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Project coordination and events – Coordinate various ad hoc projects (e.g. website refresh, new systems) and provide support for events such as the Didcot Youth Festival.
- HR and volunteer support – coordinate onboarding for staff and volunteers, including references, DBS checks and inductions.
- Office and building liaison – help keep the Didcot youth centre running smoothly by liaising with the landlord/service manager and handling facilities needs.
- Team support – provide admin support across the CEO, staff and trustees, including scheduling, minute-taking and document preparation.

- Finance administration – support the CEO and our bookkeeper with tasks such as processing invoices, expenses, payments and payroll information.
- Data and monitoring – keep records up to date (attendance, impact data, safeguarding logs) for accurate reporting.
- Comms basics – work with the Fundraising and Communications Coordinator to update the website, draft newsletters and prepare supporter updates.
- Database and records – maintain supporter, volunteer and young people’s contact details.
- Policies and procedures – keep master copies organised and flag review dates.
- Health & safety admin – support with risk assessments, building checks and first aid supplies.
Occasional (as needed)
- Fundraising support – assist with funder reports, donor thank-yous and admin for community events.
- Safeguarding admin – support the Designated Safeguarding Lead with record-keeping and DBS renewals (admin only).
- Governance support – assist with trustee papers, annual returns and filings.
- Supplies and logistics – order office supplies, consumables and manage petty cash/card reconciliation.
- IT and systems – liaise with IT suppliers on logins, backups or new staff accounts.
- Insurance/licensing renewals – track renewal dates and ensure processes are followed.

Essential qualities

About the role
We’re looking for someone who has experience in marketing, communications and engagement for events, gala lunches, fundraising products and campaigns. We want you to bring creativity, insight and energy to help drive the income of the Charity from your marketing and engagement perspective. This could look like selling tickets for events, running campaigns or increasing sign ups to Legacy.
You’ll oversee and be responsible for executing the marketing plans to support events, partnerships, music services, education and our annual campaigns, where you will get support from, and line manage a Marketing and Communications Officer and an Events Marketing Officer.
This role sits within our Engagements and Communications (E&C) team, which is under our wider Income Generation directorate, (other teams include partnerships, events, trust and foundations and business development) which has ambitious fundraising targets as part of a new 5-year strategy.
You’ll be working closely with and leading on projects between teams within Income Generation, such as our award winning Events team and our hugely successful Partnerships team. So if you love the fast-paced nature of events, and the challenge of increasing income through engaging audiences – as well as lots of music – then this role is for you.

About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Shop Supervisor to make a difference and deliver positive social impact in the local community while also raising money to fund Crisis’ work ending homelessness.
As a Shop Supervisor, you will support the Shop Manager and Assistant Shop Manager to deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will play a key role in delivering customer service and supporting volunteers, as well maintaining the look and feel of the shop and processing stock. You will work towards ambitious sales and training targets, maximising the impact on our mission to end homelessness.
This is a unique retail opportunity where you will also be involved in delivering on the job training for Crisis members, supporting them to gain the skills and confidence needed in the workplace. You will work collaboratively with your team and will have opportunities to build your own skills and career progression.

To be successful in this role you will have significant retail or customer service experience alongside a genuine interest in charity retail.
