Pro Bono Community is a registered charity that has developed specialised training programmes for students, trainees and lawyers covering the practical skills involved in delivering free legal advice and areas of social welfare law. In conjunction with the training, the charity arranges and manages volunteering placements at Law Centres and other advice agencies. The charity’s activities include a number of grant-funded projects which the coordinator will be heavily involved in.

About the role
Pro Bono Community is looking for a Training and Volunteer Coordinator to help us run programmes aimed at improving the amount and quality of access to justice by training law students and others and then placing them to work as volunteers at advice agencies.
The Training and Volunteer Coordinator will report to and work alongside the Director to undertake work supporting the charity’s activities with a focus on recruiting and training students and lawyers and then coordinating volunteering placements for them at Law Centres and advice agencies. The role also includes administrative work relating to a pioneering digital advice clinic the charity runs in conjunction with a Citizens Advice agency in London.

Youth Work Apprenticeship
Location: Based at a local GMYF Youth Centre in Manchester or Trafford with regular attendance at Ormside Mill Outdoor Residential Centre in Cumbria

Introduction
Greater Manchester Youth Federation (GMYF) is a long-established charity running vibrant youth centres across Greater Manchester. We are dedicated to raising aspirations and creating opportunities for young people, especially those facing disadvantage. Purpose of Role:
The Youth Work Apprentice will work alongside professionally qualified youth workers learning the skills and qualities of the youth work profession. The apprentice will attend sessions on a weekly basis as well as committing to a university study day each trimester. A central focus will be to engage and support young people 11 – 18 years to take part in outdoor education activities including the Duke of Edinburgh Award. There will be an expectation for the apprentice to attend residential events, expeditions and wider outdoor activities e.g. canoeing, climbing and hill walking to encourage and support young people taking part in these activities. Apprentices will learn a range of essential youth work skills including mentoring, boundaries, safeguarding and reflective practice which they will utilise in their work with young people, carrying out their roles with enthusiasm, integrity and professionalism.
An overarching skill and ethos of the role will be to build trustful and meaningful relationships with young people for which ongoing training will be provided. Understanding the barriers some young people face and how to overcome these will be a regular feature of the youth worker portfolio of skills. While the core components of youth work skills will be central to the role a significant amount of time will be spent supporting young people to experience and enjoy outdoor activities which is central to our mission of improving the life chances, inclusiveness and resilience of young people.
The role will involve regular travel and overnight stays which will need to be worked flexibly to meet the needs of the charity. A TOIL system is in place which is subject to agreement with line manager.

- Undertake a course of studies at degree level attending university one day per week developing a broad range of skills, knowledge and behaviours to achieve a professionally recognised youth worker Degree Apprenticeship.

Role Summary
The Programme Officer UK will be instrumental in providing administrative support for the successful delivery of our three programme strands across the UK. Reporting to the Joint Head of Programmes (Nations Lead), this role ensures the smooth and efficient running of projects by managing key organisational tasks, providing high quality customer service and supporting specific activities including data driven targeted work. The governance and policy manager is a senior strategic and operational role responsible for leading, coordinating, and strengthening all governance-related functions across World Physiotherapy. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role ensures the organisation consistently meets the highest standards of governance, compliance, transparency, and accountability, in line with its global mission and constitutional framework.
The postholder serves as a key advisor to the CEO, board, and leadership structures, ensuring governance systems are robust, efficient, and appropriate for an international membership organisation. We’re looking for an experienced Programme Officer to join our team on a maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in the delivery of our In2STEM Programme during a busy and high impact period. - Maintain PLH’s internal systems, including shared drives and databases, ensuring information is accurate, accessible, and managed in line with GDPR and data protection requirements.
- Act as a first point of contact for operational queries via PLH’s central inbox, exercising judgement in responding to requests, signposting information, and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Support the development, documentation, and consistent application of internal policies and procedures, working with the Operations Manager to ensure alignment with UK charity best practice, safeguarding standards, and employment legislation.
- Identify opportunities for improving operational processes and support the implementation of agreed improvements.
Travel, Expenses & Events
- Coordinate organisational travel arrangements, ensuring bookings are safe, cost-effective, timely, and compliant with internal policies.
- Administer staff expense processes in collaboration with the Finance team, including checking submissions, tracking approvals, and following up on discrepancies.
- Coordinate logistical arrangements for in-person and virtual meetings and events, including scheduling, communications, and follow-up actions.
Finance & Operational Reporting
- Coordinate the collection of staff timesheets and attendance data, producing accurate monthly attendance summaries for the Finance team.
- Liaise with colleagues across the organisation to ensure timely provision of operational and financial information.
People Operations & HR Support
- Coordinate HR administration processes, including contracting, onboarding, and maintenance of staff records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with GDPR.
- Support the administration of PLH’s performance management framework, including tracking review cycles, documentation, and agreed actions.
- Assist in coordinating internal learning and professional development activities, supporting staff development and organisational capability.
Culture & Organisational Development
- Support initiatives that promote an inclusive, values-led organisational culture, with a focus on staff wellbeing, equity, and professional growth.
- Assist in coordinating internal communications and activities that strengthen connection and collaboration across a distributed team.
Essential criteria:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3 years experience of coordinating operational processes such as HR administration, finance processes, travel coordination, or internal systems ideally within a UK charity.
- High level of attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage information systematically.
- Confidence using digital tools and systems (e.g. shared drives, databases, spreadsheets, HR or finance systems) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to identify process improvements and support the implementation of agreed changes.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills. 2
- Basic understanding of data protection principles (e.g. GDPR) and the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding in organisational operations.

- Experience working in a remote or distributed organisation.
- Working knowledge of UK employment practices and charity sector policies.
