About Us:

Baca is dedicated to providing support and care to 16 to 18 year old unaccompanied asylum seeking children who are newly arrived in the country, helping them rebuild their strength, dignity, and hope for the future. We work closely with social workers and representatives from other agencies to benefit the young people in our care.

Role Overview:

As a Support Worker, you will be a key worker for several young people in Baca's care, providing high-quality holistic and therapeutic support for their transition to adulthood. You will deliver services in line with Baca’s Theory of Change, ensuring the highest quality outcomes in physical and emotional wellbeing, education, employment, training, social engagement, and personal safety.

We are looking to recruit a professional and experienced Project Manager to join our long running Housing Related support service in North East Lincolnshire. Role Summary

• The School Engagement Coordinator for Northern Ireland serves as a crucial liaison for the Into Film programme in the region. This role involves actively engaging with schools and educators to promote and support their participation in various initiatives related to film, games, and creative media.

Role Overview 

The Director of Development at the Foundling Museum will lead the Museum’s fundraising strategy, driving income generation to support its mission and programmes. Person Specification  

Experience (required) 

• Proven leadership, ideally at least 5 years, in a similar role where philanthropic and grant income is central to the success of the organisation
• Extensive experience of shaping and implementing fundraising strategies that have delivered a step change increase in actual income
• A substantial fundraising track record in securing income from diverse constituencies and across funding types, including personal experience in securing major gifts and managing teams to do the same

The Refugee and Migrant Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our Resettlement Department. As part of our mission to assist refugees and migrants in overcoming barriers to integration, this role will play a key part in helping newly arrived refugees settle into their new communities with confidence and independence.

RMC is a well-established charity with over 25 years of experience working with vulnerable refugees and migrants. We provide a range of services, including immigration advice, housing support, welfare assistance, and employment guidance. Our work ensures that refugees and migrants receive the necessary support to become equal citizens in the UK.

Purpose of the Role

The Family Support Worker will support newly arrived refugees and their families, enabling them to navigate the complex challenges of settling into the UK. Working closely with our multi-skilled resettlement team, you will deliver holistic support to refugees across a range of services, including welfare benefits, housing, health, education, and employment. You will also play a key role in empowering families to build their confidence, independence, and long-term integration into the community.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Client Support & Case Management:

• Manage a caseload of newly arrived refugee families, providing tailored support to meet their specific needs.
• Conduct home visits and orientation sessions to welcome clients to their new community and complete holistic needs assessments.
• Develop Personal Integration Plans for each household on a quarterly basis, helping them set goals for long-term independence.
• Coordinate support with external agencies and specialists to address clients’ needs, ensuring seamless service delivery.
• Support families with housing, welfare benefits, education, healthcare, and employment.
• Assist with registration for healthcare services (GPs, dentists, opticians) and support with medical assessments.
• Facilitate access to education for children and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes for adults.
• Provide guidance on immigration matters and ensure the correct paperwork is in place, including registering for Biometric Residence Cards and supporting welfare benefit applications.

Administrative & Reporting Duties:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and case progress, ensuring compliance with organisational policies.
• Provide written reports and case updates as required by the Resettlement Coordinator and Manager.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of services based on monitoring and evaluation feedback.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Experience working with vulnerable individuals, particularly refugees or migrants.
• Strong understanding of the challenge’s refugees faces during resettlement and integration.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload and create detailed support plans.
• Experience in working with external agencies and coordinating services for clients.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with refugees, stakeholders, and service providers.
• Ability to manage sensitive and complex cases with a person-centred approach.
• Knowledge of UK welfare benefits, housing rights, and immigration services.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and use IT systems to document casework.
• Cultural competence and a commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion.
• Ability to work flexibly and independently, including delivering outreach services.
• Fluent in Farsi/Pashto and English.

Desirable:

• Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team, supporting volunteers to achieve client outcomes.
• Knowledge of community languages (particularly relevant to refugee populations) would be advantageous.
• Experience in delivering outreach support to families in their homes and community settings.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.

Age UK Croydon’s very successful Personal Safety Project (Falls Prevention) for older people in Croydon is recruiting a new Senior Personal Safety Assessor. If you are an enthusiastic, passionate and organised individual, this could be the role for you.

Our Personal Safety Project (PSP) is a free service which aims to help older people who have fallen or are at risk of falling at home. The service is available to anyone aged 50 and over who lives in the borough of Croydon.

Our trained assessors carry out a comprehensive risk assessment to identify potential causes of falls and hazards in the home and can arrange for stair rails, grab handles and other necessary aids and adaptations to be supplied and/or fitted, free of charge. The project can provide ongoing telephone support for up to six weeks to monitor the risk of further falls post engagement.

Action for Refugees in Lewisham (AFRIL) is recruiting for a new Casework Manager to lead our growing and dynamic Casework and Advocacy Service.You will be joining an impactful local organisation at a crucial time in our development. We are looking for a hard working and dynamic leader who can balance the operational demands of casework and managing frontline services, with excellent HR skills and a keen interest in policy and developing partnerships. This is an exciting and integral role within a supportive and dynamic team at AFRIL. The role is available due to the advancement of the previous post-holder to a more senior post.

AFRIL’s Casework and Advocacy Service is a busy, professional team of 4 caseworkers (3 FTE) , a Community Activities Coordinator, and a number of volunteers. The team has grown significantly in the last 3 years, in response to the needs of our community and due to recognition of AFRIL’s high quality and relevant casework provision. The Casework and Advocacy Service provides AQS accredited complex casework and advice in the areas of Asylum Support, Housing, Benefits and Community Care. The service works to fill the gap, focusing on supporting those with complex vulnerabilities requiring wrap around support. AFRIL takes its services to where clients are; holding regular casework drop-in’s at asylum support hotels, community centres and at Lewisham Foodbank. AFRIL is also recently accredited by the Immigration Advice Authority to provide advice at Level 1, in both Immigration and Asylum and is currently in the process of becoming accredited at Level 2.

AFRIL’s Casework and Advocacy service uses casework trends and data to work with community members in order to engage in policy and systemic change. Utilising casework and community co-production, the service has created sector wide resources on asylum support, engaged in strategic litigation and successfully influenced local, pan-London and national policy outcomes. This is a growing area of work for the service and the successful Casework Manager will be required to balance high quality casework outputs and management of a team, while working closely with the Executive Director on emerging policy and advocacy work.

We support people to lift themselves out of poverty, assert their rights and rebuild their lives in the heart of our community. We  provide both crisis support to meet immediate need, and longer-term, flexible programmes to  tackle the underlying problems that lead people to be in crisis, supporting people to integrate and thrive. • Casework and Advocacy Service: providing AQS accredited advice, casework and legal interventions in asylum support, community care, housing, welfare benefits and related matters. Pre-Action Protocol letters to challenge unlawful public law decisions and IAA Level 1 Immigration Advice.

• Destitution Support - a fortnightly Food Bank in partnership with St Peter’s Church providing food, food vouchers, toiletries, and other essentials, alongside a warm hub with free cafe, information and support. Small grants for essential items and cash payments for food in emergencies. Securing and distributing gifts in kind, e.g. winter coats, laptops and data. 

• Allotment of Refuge - a welcoming community of food growers that supports improved health, wellbeing and integration of members, whilst protecting the local environment. 

• Immigration Project in partnership with Southwark Law Centre, providing free legal advice and representation to support people to regularise their immigration status. 

We use our frontline experience, together with our clients, to engage in policy and influencing work to improve the services and policies that impact our clients group.
