CHIRP is seeking a dynamic and talented individual to support the maritime and aviation programme teams with administrative and technical functions. The role combines general administrative duties with data collection, analysis and presentation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting CHIRP’s work to enhance aviation and maritime safety through effective reporting, analysis, and dissemination of key safety insights. This is a flexible role that welcomes wide ranging and diverse experience and skills and can be adapted around personal responsibilities or requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Provide general administrative support to the programme teams. This includes:
· in-box monitoring, meeting preparation and internal coordination (25%).
· scheduling and arranging meetings, minute taking, and tracking follow up actions (10%).
· coordinating the receipt, logging and management of confidential aviation and maritime safety reports and associated correspondence (20%).
· assisting with the production of FEEDBACK publications, including uploading content to our website and co-ordinating print and email distribution (20%).
· maintaining and updating content on our website and reporting portal, liaising with our IT providers where necessary to identify and resolve issues (15%).
· contributing to communications and outreach by managing email lists, supporting social media communications in coordination with the Comms Lead, and co-ordinating procurement of merchandise and promotional materials (10%).
Essential Skills & Experience
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and work within a Just culture framework.
· Strong organisational and administrative skills within the not for profit sector, with attention to detail and accuracy.
· Confident in the use of software including Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Teams, One Drive, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power Bi).
· Experience in online research, data collection, and analysis.
· Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively within a part-time schedule.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable skills and experience

Reporting Line
The Administrative Assistant will be line-managed by the Director Maritime and matrix managed by the Cabin Crew Programme Manager for specific programme tasks.
About the Charity
Established in 1982, CHIRP has been a long-standing presence in both Aviation and Maritime safety spheres. More recently, CHIRP has aspired to capture the synergies between the two programmes. This is an exciting time to join the charity to build on these collaborations and develop our new strategy adapting to change in the industries and reaching a wider audience to strengthen human factors safety underpinned by a Just culture.
CHIRP’s mission is to help improve aviation and maritime safety and build a Just Culture by managing an independent and influential programme for the confidential reporting of human factors safety issues. We do this by:
• Receiving and considering reports that might not otherwise be submitted through formal reporting processes.
• Analysing the data to identify issues and trends.
• Disseminating safety-related reports and trends that we consider will be of public benefit.
CHIRP is a membership organisation with a Board of up to 12 Trustees and an Executive team of paid staff and consultants. The programme teams are supported by Advisory Boards comprising subject matter volunteer specialists who provide advice on issues raised through the confidential reporting process.
Contract length
This contract is a fixed term position until 31 March 2026. During this time, CHIRP will review personnel requirements to deliver a new strategy alongside funding availability. The future of this role will be considered in this process with the postholder fully engaged in this review.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about using the power of events to bring people together to challenge, influence and engage on the issues our audiences care about. You will create and lead an exciting events strategy, and deliver a wide range of events, collaborating with senior staff, trustees, external organisations.

Main duties and responsibilities
Leading PBE’s public events strategy and delivery
- Work with our Head of Communications and senior team to design and implement an events strategy as part of the communications and fundraising strategies.
- Event strategy and programme planning: drawing on expertise of PBE colleagues, trustees and relevant stakeholders to plan, market and deliver an engaging and innovative programme of online and in person events to budget and deadlines.
- Event design, delivery and follow-up: planning and managing operational delivery.
- Responsibility for logistics of events including guestlist development, speaker invitations and stewardship, ticketing, internal briefings, contractors, venue liaison, event marketing and follow up.
- Active communications with speakers and attendees before and after events to maximise impact.
- Stakeholder engagement with events: Researching and drawing on advice from colleagues on interesting, engaging and diverse speakers relevant to PBE’s strategy, and drawing on PBE’s research and analysis projects as well as the wider media landscape to actively identify opportunities and agendas for future events.
- Supporting the organisation of joint events with charities and social sector organisations, working as part of a small and dynamic communications team to maximise the impact and visibility of PBE’s projects and publications externally, and the organisation of private research roundtables.
Supporting development and income generation
- Work with the Director of Development to ensure our events programme supports PBE’s fundraising approach by engaging funders, helping to identify new business opportunities, and contributing to funding applications.
- Working with the Development team to manage the design and delivery of fundraising and stewardship events including small private dinners, roundtables, panel sessions in person and online.
- Collaboration with the Development Director to identify mission-related commercial opportunities from our events, such as sponsorship.
Delivering effective communications
- Collaborate with wider communications team to deliver greater reach and impact for PBE through our multi-channel communications strategy.
- Support communications colleagues to create and deliver compelling digital communications to support our events programme
- Managing data, reporting and insight to improve our events: Maintenance of all records of activity in the CRM Salesforce, and liaison with the Head of Systems and our Operations Team to improve systems and processes.
- Perform additional duties as required to ensure the smooth running of PBE and the communications team.
About you
The role would suit candidates from an events agency or in-house events/communications background, able to work operationally and strategically, working with and advising senior staff internally and externally.
Candidates should be able to point to a strong track-record of creating and delivering events and stakeholder engagement, with sufficient experience to lead and co-ordinate a diverse programme of in person and online events to reach policymakers and the wider social sector.

- Experience of and interest in the social sector or think tank sector
- Experience in health and safety, GDPR and the legal aspect of events, such as risk assessments and charity tax. Familiarity with the Fundraising Regulator’s codes of practice
- Experience of WordPress and wider experience in Content Management Systems and content design.

JOB PURPOSE
You will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO, trustees and international colleagues to steward and cultivate key donor relationships and continue the development and implementation of the strategy to grow the major donor pipeline. As a Senior Manager, you will take ownership of the overall Major Donor Strategy, and budget and provide strategic insight into how we grow and improve our programme.
You will be confident in navigating complex environments with multiple stakeholders and in negotiating internally as well as externally, championing the major donor programme to ensure a strong enabling environment for the growth of the programme. You will enjoy developing strong relationships, have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and will be adept at managing donor and prospect pipelines as well as crafting compelling donor communications.
This role will be responsible for managing the Philanthropy Manager role and will provide support, mentorship and coaching to help the development of this role.

ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES
- Manage the philanthropy manager role through coaching, and by motivating and supporting them to reach their annual target.
- Build on a warm portfolio of donors to achieve current income targets and spot opportunities for growth and deeper development of philanthropic relationships
- Monitor and deliver annual philanthropy budgets and KPIs, assessing ongoing performance, proactively managing risks and providing accurate reporting.
- Own and drive the Major Donor strategy in collaboration with the Head of Philanthropy.
- Support on intermediary strategy and growth in this area.
- Work as part of the Philanthropy Team to grow opportunities within the major donor funding stream in line with UK4U’s fundraising strategy
- Lead on the growth and development of a robust prospect pipeline working with the corporate team, individual giving team, trustees, prospect research team, philanthropy team and other key stakeholders.
- Work with the wider international organisation to identify the most appropriate funding propositions for donors and also the internal technical experts and leadership colleagues who can help support and drive forward opportunities.
- Craft compelling propositions and proposals for major donors and ensure quality and timely reporting on donations made.
- Establish a strategic and tactical response to selected prospects and existing major donors in the event of humanitarian emergencies.
- Work independently and with the prospect researcher to gather up-to-date and accurate information on existing and prospective donors.
- Maintain accurate records on Salesforce, for income recording and earmarking.
- Work with the wider team to deliver bespoke activities including virtual and in-person events
- Support wider PPH strategic initiatives: helping identify and implement enablers to help the organisation secure and grow more multi-year partnerships, including at transformational levels.
- Help to position and raise awareness of UK4U’s role among peers, donors and other audiences by participating in sector networks and representing UK4U at events, as appropriate.
- Work within UK4U’s due diligence policy and GDPR policies and processes.
- Support the philanthropy team in other activities, as requested.

Job Description
We are looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Senior Research Manager to manage the monitoring, evaluation and learning activities of a high profile National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) portfolio of translational, clinical and applied health research infrastructure funding schemes.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Assistant Director, the post holder will work closely with the rest of the infrastructure team (especially the Programme Leads and Senior Research Managers who are responsible for the development and management of the infrastructure schemes), and with Data Analytics colleagues (who are responsible for designing systems for capturing, cleaning and presenting data), to manage the infrastructure reporting and evaluation activities. At an award level, you will develop, improve and maintain monitoring and reporting processes, and at a scheme level, you will implement monitoring, evaluation and learning approaches, including overseeing the delivery and/or commissioning of impact evaluations. You will support a wider programme around visibility and the strategic use of data within infrastructure, considering links to policy directives around Busting Bureaucracy, the developing NIHR digital strategy and system operability issues with NHS and University systems.
You will be adept at dealing with an array of data sources (metrics, narrative and financial reporting information), have a good understanding of research impact, an understanding of the routes to achieving it, and how to apply monitoring, evaluation and learning approaches to generate insight that can evidence impact and support continuous improvement of scheme funding and support processes. You will have experience of managing complex projects, knowledge of the UK’s research environment and political agenda, and honed skills in stakeholder management. Manage elements of the infrastructure monitoring processes: you will manage parts of the infrastructure reporting process both internally at the technical systems level and externally with users to support training and propose improvements. You will work with others to develop new reporting processes (for new awards), maintain existing annual and quarterly reporting, support the review of submitted reports by the team and the production of feedback, and drive process improvements through a continuous improvement cycle.

Development of reporting outputs: support quantitative and qualitative data interrogation in projects across the infrastructure. This strategic role sits at the heart of our development team, building and maintaining a data-led pipeline of high-impact donors to advance ZSL’s conservation science, fieldwork, and education. By leading on prospect research, philanthropic analysis, and network mapping, the postholder will help ensure ZSL’s fundraising efforts are focused, proactive, and aligned with our organisational priorities.
Following the implementation of a new CRM system, the Prospect Research Manager will also play a key role in embedding best practices in data management and prospecting across the team. From crafting research tools to spotting new funding opportunities, this role will directly support the success of ZSL’s fundraising programmes and, ultimately, our mission to save wildlife around the world.
This is a part-time role, with the option of working either 2 days (15 hours) or 3 days (21.5 hours) per week. There is an expectation to attend the office once per week as well as any required in person meetings.

Essential
-
Clear passion and interest in fundraising — whether it be learning new skills or developing this area of expertise.

Some experience securing and/or managing individual giving OR major donor fundraising.

Strong communication skills (internally with other colleagues and externally with supporters) including the ability to write clear and persuasive fundraising copy.

The ability to write applications to secure grants from trusts and foundations and reporting.

Ability to take initiative, manage competing priorities and ensure deadlines are met.

The Jon Egging Trust are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to take on the role of Regional Manager in Oxfordshire and Wiltshire. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential and bring experience in coordinating youth programmes in partnership with key stakeholders such as schools, military, corporate and educational stakeholders.
The successful candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, have a solutions-focused mindset and a proactive approach to overseeing impactful and inspiring delivery. Relationship building is a key aspect to this role, as is the ability to manage multiple workstreams, ensuring high standards of delivery and responding flexibly to challenges that may arise.
The role will be responsible for maintaining and creating new relationships with school staff, local partners (including military, corporate and educational organisations) and volunteers to ensure programmes meet the needs of our young people. Working closely with the Area Director South, the post holder will be forward thinking and help to grow JET’s presence locally through identifying new opportunities within Oxfordshire and Wiltshire.
The post holder will be based from home, with a requirement to travel to schools and partner sites within Oxfordshire and Wiltshire (predominantly between Brize Norton and Salisbury). Fuel expenses are paid, and travel time is included as part of your working hours. Core delivery time is usually within the school working day and during school term time only. All other working hours can be managed with flexibility by the post holder to ensure that meetings with partners and colleagues, plus administrative tasks, are completed as required. You will be expected to work at least four days a week.
