We are seeking a skilled individual to join our dedicated team to develop and deliver existing campaigns and new products to help us maximise income. You will be passionate about customer experience and understand the benefits of supporter journeys.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience of delivering marketing campaigns, and identifying and creating new fundraising products to generate and maximise income opportunities.
About the Role
We have a new and exciting opportunity for someone who is an ambitious and self-motivated individual, to join us in an exciting phase for the Community Fundraising Team, so we can continue to support everyone in the Armed Forces Community enabling them to live well after service.
- You will be responsible for creating and developing engaging and inspiring marketing campaigns for our Do Your Own Thing audience, and helping us to maximise opportunities to raise income with new and existing supporters.
- You will develop and deliver our National Collection campaign, working with key stakeholders across the charity to engage our loyal fundraising volunteers.
- We need you to develop excellent supporter journeys that maximise opportunities and builds long term relationships.
- You will need to be a skilled communicator both written and verbally to ensure all stakeholders are engaged and inspired.
- You will be personable team player, a strategic thinker and have a track record of developing and delivering marketing campaigns to a variety of audiences.
- You will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to effectively manage and prioritise your time.
About the Team
You will be part of the Help for Heroes Community Fundraising Team, who work together to build support in the community to secure donations and build long time partnerships with community organisations / supporters and volunteers to deliver the annual community fundraising budget year on year. You will report to the National Senior Fundraising Manager and work collaboratively across the charity to drive income to support our veterans and their families.

As a result of growing need within the Armed Forces Community, Help for Heroes has ambitious plans to make a leap in impact, with investment in their High Value Partnerships team to position us as the philanthropic partner of choice for those who can create lasting change for the Armed Forces Community.
The Stewardship and Events team, with the Senior Stewardship and Events Manager leading, plays an important role in transforming our high value fundraising through the development of transformative funding propositions, high profile fundraising and stewardship events and the creation of the highest quality stewardship tools.
This role will be a crucial part of the High Value Partnerships leadership team and represents a fantastic opportunity to support the growth and development of our major donor, trust and statutory and corporate partnerships portfolios.
About You
You will have experience of building compelling cases for support, bids and partnership concepts specifically for major donors, companies and grant funders. You will have a flair for translating complex information into simple concise and compelling communications in a range of formats. You will also have excellent attention to detail, with experience of interpreting financial and impact data.
You will have experience in developing a special events programme to support engagement and high value fundraising; understanding the importance of events within high value stewardship plans.
Your excellent relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills combined with your experience of working with a range of internal teams and external stakeholders will ensure that the needs of our high value funding audiences are met and understood.
You will be a highly experienced people manager and leader, possessing strong relationship and project management skills. You will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work across a number of conflicting deadlines and priorities. You will ideally be able to demonstrate fundraising experience and previous experience of working with high net worth individuals and committees is advantageous.
Flexible, proactive and enthusiastic, you will have excellent communication and influencing skills, and be comfortable adapting confidently to a wide variety of social settings.
About the Role
As Senior Stewardship and Events Manager, you will be leading on the creation of ambitious funding propositions which will be attractive to high value donors and funders, working with key stakeholders from across the organisation to fully understand our existing services and transformational projects; translating complex information into compelling cases for support to be used by our High Value Partnerships team in funding applications, pitches and proposals. You will work closely with Recovery Services, Data and Insights and Finance teams to ensure all relevant information is gathered and reporting and evaluation processes are in place.
Working with your team and the wider High Value Partnerships team you will develop a special events programme to support engagement and fundraising, as well as leading on the development of developing engaging and relevant donor and prospect communications. You will work alongside the High Value Events Officer and other High Value Partnerships Senior Managers to conceptualise, plan and deliver a range of event types, offering a variety of activities to engage and inspire high value supporters, and ensure they are connected to, and inspired by, the work of Help for Heroes.
You will support our relationship management teams across High Value Partnerships to embed and further develop the high value stewardship strategy to ensure those who support Help for Heroes at the highest levels enjoy an exceptional supporter experience.

About You
Help For Heroes are looking for a highly skilled, professional, and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our expanding clinical team. Are you a committed, flexible OT with a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience looking to expand your skills and have the opportunity to work with the Armed Forces Community? If you have the ability to work independently but still enjoy having the support of a team, you could contribute your skills and experience to improve quality of life. Are you happy to embrace a flexible work pattern as the position will involve frequent travel to meet veterans in their own homes and communities and other organisational commitments including inductions, training and team meetings which may require some overnight stays? If you have experience of delivering Occupational Therapy in both physical and mental health conditions, then your holistic approach will help improve lives. Sleep difficulties and sensory needs are a large part of the role to enable veterans to live as they want to so experience in these areas would be beneficial.
About the Role
You will have the opportunity to work in the homes and local communities and be able to support them with physical and mental health needs that are creating barriers to meaningful occupation. By carrying your own defined caseload, you will be able to identify barriers that are affecting veterans’ ability to be as independent as possible and live the life they want to live. You will be assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating Occupational Therapy interventions for those who have served our country and improving the quality of life of our Heroes. You will have the opportunity to be creative in your solutions and the community setting will allow you to address these needs in the best environment for the Armed Forces Community. This role would be ideal for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career and is keen to be at the forefront of evidence-based practice in a supportive team.
About the Team
You will be joining the clinical team at Help for Heroes to provide community based Occupational Therapy input to armed forces veterans. We are resourceful in finding ways to deliver what is right and fair in the healthcare domain. Our aim is to champion the Armed Forces Community and to do this as one team of OTs and Registered Nurses.
