About the role

We are looking for a creative, pro-active and outgoing Corporate Relationship Manager to join our team who can build on our successful corporate partnership programme. This is an exciting role that combines new business and account management, implementing Shooting Star Children’s Hospices corporate fundraising strategy with the aim of maximising income from corporate partnerships.

We would welcome applications from candidates with strong corporate fundraising or comparable experience who can maintain and develop existing relationships with corporate partners and proactively identify and secure new relationships. You will understand the need for a bespoke approach to each corporate, understanding their requirements and how best to achieve a mutually beneficial relationship. You will need to be committed, self-motivated and passionate about the work of the charity, and have demonstrable experience of delivering fundraising targets.

As a key member of our Corporate Engagement Team, you will be responsible for researching prospective corporate partners for specific industry sectors and building a pipeline of potential sources of income, identifying new opportunities and growing our partnership base as well as maximising income from current partners, and leading on our corporate volunteering programme. You will be a natural communicator who has the ability to persuade, influence and inspire, with the confidence to build relationships at a senior level, across various departments and industries.

About you

This role requires experience of assisting in managing a shop including knowledge of retail and health and safety legislation and administrative/cash handling experience.

You will also have an ability to deal with customers and maintaining a high level of customer service, have good verbal, written communication skills, as well as being comfortable using IT and EPOS reporting. You will have an ability to motivate yourself and others, have excellent organisational skills and be comfortable working under pressure and dealing with changing priorities.

Manage all finance systems and processes including payroll, pensions, and insurance.

Work with and provide support to the Board of Trustees, CEO and the Senior Management Team as well as support the needs of the office across the organisation.

Duties:

• Financial Records Maintenance:

- Responsible for the update of the chart of accounts and reporting tools to maximise reporting functionality.

- Ensure accurate maintenance of financial records on SAGE for the charity.

•  Support the Senior Management Team and wider managers in the production of budgets.

•  Provide timely financial information to managers for effective budget management.

• Ensure monthly management accounts accurately track restricted and unrestricted income, expenditure, and reserves.

Partnerships

Trusts and Foundations

•  Support with research and the successful completion applications to secure donations from a pipeline of identified Trusts and Foundations

Stewardship

•  Identifying new opportunities to create wow moments for donors and provide excellent stewardship of all major donors and partnerships.

General

• General administrative duties, including record meeting notes and actions, following up with partners, sending out of promotional materials, monitoring and responding to email enquiries, and taking telephones calls.
• Any other duties to support the success of the fundraising team.

Key responsibilities – Note the following list is not exhaustive and percentages are indicative only.

Oversight of accounting and cash management

Most of the detailed work in this section is undertaken by the direct reports with the oversight and management being provided by this Finance Manager role

· Appropriate recording, processing, coding, posting of all financial transactions – including but not limited to bank receipts and payments, accounts payable, accounts receivable, conference fee income, invoicing, journal entries.

· Regular timely bank reconciliations.

· Invoicing and credit control

· Chart of accounts structure and department codes

 Role Particulars - 

Working Pattern: Full time working hours, including weekly in-person team meetings in London: monthly all-staff meetings on Tuesdays twice a month, and weekly on Tuesdays twice a month.  The nature of this role means that some travel and working away from home will be required, as agreed in advance.  Specifically, the Finance Manager must be available for the annual leadership conference and some or all of the New Wine annual summer festival (on-site or remote support).

We are looking for a Prospect Research & Donor Insight Manager to join the National Theatre Development Team.

The purpose of the role

This role is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of fundraising at the National Theatre, as we look to grow our income from individual members, major donors, trusts and corporate organisations.

Working with the Senior Prospect Research & Donor Insight Manager, you will develop a strong fundraising pipeline that will ensure the team can reach their long-term targets.

Your natural curiosity will lead you to identify new opportunities using a variety of online sources in combination with the NT’s database, Tessitura, and you will be able to articulate your recommendations to fundraisers in a concise and compelling way. With excellent attention to detail, this role also undertakes due diligence research into potential funders to assess any risks to the NT of accepting funds. This role also manages the Development Operations Assistant, who leads the day-to-day administration of the Development database.

The role has scope to offer insights across the whole Development team and NT senior management, and would suit a strong collaborator with enthusiasm for the work of the NT.

About the role:

We are looking to appoint an experienced Philanthropy Manager to proactively lead the cultivation and stewardship of potential and existing major donors, trusts and statutory bodies, with a particular focus on driving significant income growth.

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising and Engagement, the Philanthropy Manager will drive the growth of a portfolio of existing supporters and new prospects giving at the five and six figure gift level, with a particular focus on generating major gifts from new donors. About the role

We are looking for an experienced Strategic Philanthropy Manager (Principal Gifts) - Health for a senior position in the Fundraising & Supporter Development (F&SD) team at King’s College London (KCL).

The successful candidate will report to the Associate Director, Development - Health and focus on securing principal gifts (£3 million +) for KCL health and medical research priorities.

The post holder will manage and develop relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals who can give gifts of seven figures or more. They will work with the Vice Chancellor, Council, and senior leadership of the University to establish long-term philanthropic relationships and secure gifts that align with the donor's giving ambitions and the University's priorities.

Senior Philanthropy Manager

As Senior Philanthropy Manager within our Fundraising Team, you will focus and lead on:

• External facing relationship manager, both building new relationships and effectively stewarding existing ones 
• Support the High Value Lead to set budgets and conduct regular reforecasting 
• Maintain an effective pipeline of philanthropy prospects 
• Ensure a high standard of impact reporting to donors 
• Work with stakeholders across RNID (particularly in the programmes teams) to ensure that propositions are compelling and develop funding cases for support and accompanying funding budgets 
• Ensure exceptional relationship management experiences for high value donors, including cultivation planning 
• Effectively deploy senior staff and volunteers across RNID to work with high value donors, including appropriate briefings and direction on relationship aims 
• Lead on operational improvements on day-to-day systems and processes 
• Directly line manage 4 staff members 

You will drive the high value supporter programme internally to RNID and externally with donors, personally working to secure gifts from individuals and trusts & foundations as well as driving excellence across your team.

You will have experience of developing and managing relationships with donors (directly and through peer-to-peer relationships) worth 6 figures and above, alongside pipeline building and proposition development.

You will have considerable experience of presenting proposals and reports to prospective and existing donors, able to translate the work of RNID to inspire high value donors and secure significant long-term gifts. 

This role will be operating at a senior level within RNID, contributing to plans and strategies, and have line management experience.

What you’ll be doing

This is an exciting new role that provides an opportunity to build a new major gifts programme from scratch. Supported by the Senior Development Manager, you will work closely with the CEO, Director of Development and the Board to develop a giving strategy that will directly feed into our organisational strategy, with a focus on increasing engagement and the growth of the major donor income stream.

You will manage a portfolio of existing major donors and conduct prospect research, developing bespoke stewardship of donors giving gifts from £5,000 to £50,000.

As a result of the pandemic and cost of living crisis, the shape of disadvantage in the UK has changed significantly and we’ve seen the fastest growing child poverty in decades. We are expanding our work to meet this growing need and have developed a new strategy to address the risk of social and economic exclusion.

What we’re looking for

You will be an excellent major donor fundraiser, with experience of designing and delivering high-impact stewardship programmes and events, and a track record of securing major gifts through written and/or verbal proposals. You will be able to work primarily from home if you prefer, but will need to be able to be in London when necessary – approximately once a month on average – as well as being willing to travel to meet donors when necessary.
