About the Role

Reporting directly to the Director of Global Mission, this focal coordinating role within our Global Mission Team (GMT) will ensure the effective functioning of the GMT by offering:

• Administrative support to the Director

• Team-wide Coordination

• Programme Support for cross-regional initiatives

Due to the coordinating nature of this role, the post holder will need to work in close collaboration with other members of the Global Mission Team as well as effectively liaise with members of the Communications, Engagement and Fundraising (CEF) team as well as the Finance and Operations (FO) team.

Experience

• Proven track record in leading fundraising and delivering income growth within a similar sized organization.
• Experience in a marketing and public relations role a plus.

Co-ordinator – 70%

Day-to-day support across the charity including, but not limited to:

• Providing personal assistant support to the Director of the charity

• Support wider team with meeting bookings, arranging travel, charity guests, booking rooms etc.

• Support internal communications, ensuring good information dissemination and management.

• Improve internal onboarding processes, hold ownership over key GMSN starter assets (e.g. Organigram, joiners handbook)

• Look after shared email inboxes, ensuring all queries have an appropriate response in a timely manner.

• Support the team with basic finance reporting and updating trackers, including setting up and maintenance of a variety of fundraising platforms.

• Posting out materials and prizes, and hold ownership over the organisation of stock and materials in the storeroom.

• Liaising with charity supporters via email, phone and at Global, including the support line.

• Provide cover to the Finance and Grants Assistant in periods of absence (training will be provided)

• Support with fundraising and events teams in busy periods.

• Complete any ad-hoc tasks, as required.

Governance – 30%

• Co-ordinate diary entries for quarterly Trustee and Finance Committee meetings, prepare Board packs, attend meetings, take minutes and ensure minutes are distributed in a timely fashion.

• Ensure all Trustees are stewarded, inducted and supported in their role with the charity.

• Support the Head of Finance and Governance with relevant Trustee checks and forms, ensuring compliance with Companies House and Charities Commission.

• Ensure collection of annual related parties records and ensure all documentation is filed electronically.

• Collate monthly quarterly Global Board updates, liaising closely with SMT.

The Director of Finance Business Partnering (Operations) is a critical role within the Financial Strategy, Planning & Performance division that will lead, develop and deliver high quality finance business partnering and decision support to all the central services of the university, including providing financial planning, reporting and insight across revenue and capital funded activity. 

You will support the senior Director of the Financial Strategy, Planning & Performance function in development and improvement projects. Examples include the development of a professional competencies framework to support career progression and performance at all levels, supported by learning and development opportunities, improving key processes, resource allocation and financial planning methodologies, and reporting on financial performance.

As part of the function’s senior management team, this role will lead a team of finance business partners who will provide outstanding partnering services to our central services including large functions such as Estates and Facilities, IT, Students & Education, Research Management and on other crucial ‘head office’ activities. Working closely with the corporate reporting team on the provision of management accounts, you will lead on financial performance support in-year and across our three-year financial planning framework. About the role

This is an exciting senior role for an environmentally committed leader to cover maternity leave. We are looking for someone who can take strategic oversight of our Green Space for Health programme and provide effective management of the project and its staff.

Our Green Space for Health programme helps to realise the value of green space for physical and mental health, both at healthcare sites and in the wider community. Our flagship project, the NHS Forest, promotes tree planting and woodland creation at NHS sites, supporting and encouraging sites to plant and maintain trees through offering free trees and advice. We support NHS sites to develop their greenspace for the benefits of patients, health staff and communities, while improving biodiversity and combatting climate change. The Green Space for Health Director will oversee the development of the NHS Forest and other Green Space for Health projects, delivering the programme strategy. The Deputy Director works in close partnership with the Executive Director (ED) to enhance the work of the small, dynamic secretariat team to create more momentum across its network. This new role will be instrumental in delivering on the strategic objectives and securing sustainable funding through its continued evolution. The person will be responsible for connecting the various programmatic areas of work quality assurance and impact, capacity support and its new country level work. They will guide planning processes to be able to track and analyse our impact. They will leverage the knowledge of the team to seek new opportunities for ensuring the Alliance delivers on its mission. They will be instrumental in developing and implementing long-term plans and processes that can bring new levels of success for the organisation.

2. Main Duties and Responsibilities

Guide and facilitate the team’s delivery of the CHS Alliance strategy:

· Work with the ED on delivering the strategy to position CHS Alliance as a network driving system change for greater accountability to people in crisis, creating relationships within teams and externally to influence change across the global humanitarian sector.

· Develop processes to support the team track progress on how we are meeting our objectives so they can be clearly communicated and analysed to continue to deliver on the ambitions of the Alliance’s strategy.

· Facilitate a strong culture of organisational collaboration to achieve goals and objectives; developing a framework that support the team’s cohesion in delivering the goals of the organisation to create greater impact.

· Provide oversight of the funding needs and priorities and support strong proposal development and compliance with donor funding and guide decisions on how to allocate and manage resources.

· Work closely with the ED, to establish and execute a fundraising plan to achieve the strategy and workplan of the CHS Alliance, including donor intelligence.

· Provide support to ensure staff can complete their responsibilities to their highest potential.

· Initiate programmes and activities that are resourced and effective and efficient as possible.

External partnerships & donor engagement:

· Stay abreast of emerging trends in the volatile context of humanitarian action and provide strategic thought leadership on the dynamic and shifting priorities and what it means for the Alliance network.

· Work closely with the ED to create a strong donor advocacy and engagement plan that goes beyond fundraising to work with donors as drivers of accountability.

· In coordination with the rest of the Alliance team, engage with external stakeholders to build and maintain relationships contributing to the CHS Alliance strategic objectives.

· Work closely across the teams to keep abreast of the Alliance members’ needs to meet the CHS commitments.

· Actively seek opportunities for partnerships to advance the CHS Alliance Strategic Plan (e.g. with members, academia, coordination bodies like the IASC, or other key stakeholders).

· Promote the CHS and the work of the CHS Alliance through relevant social media channels or platforms, through conference presentations and through workshops or other events.

· Represent CHS Alliance and its positions at meetings, speaking engagements or through opinion pieces. Assist the CHS Alliance to influence policy in the sector.

· Act as the public face of the CHS Alliance, along with the ED, to promote its mission and purpose.

The Role:

The Partner Engagement Lead is responsible for key account management, and specifically developing and supporting relationships with programme sponsors and partners within the WorldGBC network.

The Partner Engagement Lead will work closely alongside the programme/projects team subject leads, taking responsibility for day to day management of activities that relate to sponsors or stakeholders, including partner relationships, external collaborations and fundraising.

Working cross-functionally within a matrix-style organisation, the Lead will work collaboratively on the engagement pillar of WorldGBC's fundraising team alongside the Partnerships Manager and the Strategic Partnerships Lead. This team coordinates closely with all WorldGBC departments, in particular where sponsors are involved with initial focus on the programme/project partners.

Well-organised and a great communicator, this individual will ensure that key relationships are managed effectively across the organisation, and be detail oriented in their reporting and accounting of opportunities. The Lead should also be willing to represent the organisation in relevant external opportunities relating to the programmes as need arises - including fundraising meetings, external working groups, events or conferences.

The Partner Engagement Lead will report to the Director of Programmes Strategy.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Account Management: Be primary point of contact for new and existing programmatic sponsors and partners, overseeing engagement with the network and accounting with detailed reporting to ensure up-to-date partnership records. Work alongside the programmatic team leads to deliver all agreed benefits to partners, ensuring a uniform balance of benefits and opportunities across sponsors engaging in all areas of the organisation.

The Development Officer will be responsible for all aspects of daily fundraising activities for Epic’s key segments of donors (high net worth individuals (HNWI) and intermediaries, entrepreneurs, corporations), including building and managing a database of new leads, outreaching and nurturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Development Director, the missions of the Development Officer are as follows:

1. Contribution to Epic’s Fundraising Strategy in the UK

• Collaborative work with the UK Development Director to shape and execute the fundraising strategy, bringing forth new ideas, networks and results to ensure Epic meets its income targets

• Lead outreach efforts to expand Epic’s potential donor database in the UK : monitor the fundraising ecosystem and engage in proactive cold outreach through Growth campaigns, LinkedIn, emailing, as well as in-person and digital networking activities, including attending at least one event per week which may extend into late afternoon/evening

• Conduct desktop research on individuals, sectors, and event-specific topics as required

• Provide support to other development initiatives and projects as needed.

2. Lead Conversion

• Set conversion objectives and support conversion from leads to donations

• Identify lead opportunities within networks and events, setting priorities accordingly

• Pitch Epic and its various Giving Solutions to potential donors, and build tailored-made proposals when needed

• Maintain high discipline and consistency in follow-up with leads and donors : use Epic’s CRM to build a consistent pipeline of prospects and handle the management of the database with accurate opportunities and donor and gift records 

• Evaluate and monitor the return on investment (ROI) of events and fundraising campaigns 

• Prepare compelling fundraising communications, materials and presentations for donor meetings and events 

3. Nurturing & engaging the UK Community

• Contribute to Epic’s engagement strategy for current donors to ensure an 80% renewal rate

• Maintain regular touchpoints with a subgroup of donors through activities such as sharing monitoring reports, organising field visits in the UK, and scheduling regular calls and face to face meetings. Act as the main point of contact for donors and answer to their enquiries in a timely manner

• Manage community-related administrative tasks to streamline donation processes and act as the main point of contact for donors to answer to their enquiries in a timely manner

• Craft engagement opportunities such as UK events and webinars, including drinks, talks, breakfast events, and annual gala nights. Support will be provided by our in-house dedicated Events team.

Position Requirements : 

• Candidate must have the right to work in the United Kingdom

• Excellent level of English (both spoken and written), basic level of French (written and spoken) required

• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a sales, fundraising or business development role, preferably in the non-profit sector

Founded over 40 years ago, our mission was to rescue characterful and neglected historic sites all across the city.
