We’re looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager to lead our talented team, who deliver impactful marketing, communications, and media initiatives at the British Psychological Society.
You’ll be leading on the delivery of our marketing and communications strategy, focusing on member acquisition, retention, and engagement, utilising digital solutions to promote our membership, qualifications, registers and CPD offerings, and much more.
Your expertise in communication will be essential as you cultivate strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders, journalists and media contacts; driving proactive media opportunities to enhance our profile.
You’ll also play a crucial role in monitoring current issues in psychology and the psychological workforce, advising on communications strategies and supporting our campaigns that influence change.
We’re looking for someone with sound experience in marketing, communications and public relations. You should have a proven track record in managing marketing functions and cultivating media relationships, with the adaptability and solutions-focused mindset to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Association’s digital product portfolio, including websites, microsites and third-party platforms.
 - Lead a programme of continuous improvement with our digital agency to deliver the best experience for our digital audiences.
 - Scope new products, map user journeys and enhance existing services to design or optimise digital experiences.
 - Advise on the procurement of new third-party digital platforms and technology.
 - Translate business and user requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
 - Ensure compliance with security and accessibility standards.
 - Ensure all content is produced to SEO best practice and work with our digital agencies to improve website content.
 - Use data, analytics and usability testing to improve user experience and journeys.
 - Manage Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, producing insights and identifying opportunities for development.
 - Support colleagues with training, guidance and communities of practice.
 - Build effective working relationships with external partners, suppliers and agencies.
 
About You:
- Experience in digital fundraising and income generation.
 - Knowledge of digital innovation in campaigning and raising awareness.
 - Technical skills in Drupal CMS and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
 - Experienced across the full product lifecycle with knowledge of team roles and documentation.
 - Strong understanding of user-centred design, user journeys and testing.

Our Head of Volunteering is a key leadership role in our Services and Support directorate, as part of our Services Development function.
We rely heavily on our volunteers to support our mission and improve the lives of people affected by MS. Our volunteers who generously donate their time are critical to our success.
Our volunteers play an important role in:
- fundraising events
 - delivering resources to people affected by MS
 - advocating for MS research and policy
 - providing care and support to the MS community
 
Our Head of Volunteering will be:
- leading on the development and implementation of the organisation's volunteering strategy
 - growing organisational capacity and capability in volunteering, maximising the unique contribution volunteering can make to support the MS Society's strategic aims.
 - leading a team who will support our volunteer journey, volunteer experience and volunteering systems, developing a high-performing and motivated culture within teams.

- extensive experience of development and successful implementation of a volunteering strategy or plan

The Data & Research Manager plays a key role in Youth Futures Foundation’s Impact and Evidence team, helping us understand and address youth unemployment in England.
The postholder will lead on managing our data infrastructure including our flagship youth labour market dashboard and contribute to the design, commissioning, and delivery of high-quality quantitative research and analysis.

- Managing the design, commissioning and delivery of economic, quantitative social research and data analysis projects using a wide range of methods, including primary and secondary data analysis, and evidence reviews
 - Critically reviewing research proposals, manage contracts and budgets, and ensure high quality outputs
 - Developing evidence tools, gap maps and frameworks to address youth unemployment, and identify and prioritise evidence gaps to meet stakeholder needs

We’re creating services that are flexible so that, when someone's circumstance changes, we’ll change too. As demand for our services grows, we’ll always be ready to support everyone who needs our help.
Our new structure and our new ways of working will bring all of these services together under one delivery model launching next year. We're creating a new virtual support hub to bring together everything our community needs to manage their MS or support and care for someone living with MS.
Our Services Development team are responsible for: UK-wide service development and experience design, community development, volunteering development
As a fixed term contracted role for 12 months, our Director of Services Development will be focusing on:
- embedding our new Services Development team.
 - working with our Income Generation colleagues to establish processes and accountabilities for a business development pipeline.
 - ensuring everything we do is led by the voice of the MS community and processes are established and embedded for the MS Society to meet our coproduction commitments.
 - securing income.
 
The core responsibilities of the role include:
- providing strategic direction and leadership to our Service Development function.
 - taking overall responsibility and provide thought-leadership for all Service Development, Volunteering, and Participation & Influence across the MS Society
 - leading continuous improvement in the MS Society’s approaches in response to our community’s needs. Ensuring services and volunteering achieve maximum reach and impact at the MS Society.
 - overseeing development of our volunteering strategy and approach, ensuring that it responds to societal trends and volunteering best practice.
 - leading by example. Encourage and role model transparency, learning from failure, reducing complexity, user centricity, collaboration, and seeking feedback and ideas from all
 
We’re looking for:
- substantial experience in Senior Leadership/Departmental Management roles, with the ability to manage large teams at all levels.
 - proven success in setting and delivering strategic plans and achieving long standing impact.
 - proven analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decisions and improve services.
 - proven experience of delivering significant and sustainable business benefits through change programmes.
 
Please note this role is part time, 17.5 hours per week, and is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

 - ensuring our Services and Support are delivered to a consistently high standard and be accountable for the performance of our services in our Live Well activity.
 - using evidence and insights, development and delivery of a UK-wide Service Delivery and Development strategy that ensures our services achieve maximum reach and impact, responding to the evolving needs and priorities of people with MS, and their families and carers.
 - leading ongoing development and continuous improvement of MS Society’s service delivery operating model, responding to evolving needs and external environment to drive cultural change and inspiring staff and volunteers.
 - leading by example, encouraging and role modelling transparency, learning from failure, reducing complexity, user centricity, collaborating, and seeking feedback and ideas from all
 
We’re looking for:
