We’re seeking an experienced, visionary leader to chair our Education Committee, guiding a passionate professional community and shaping the impact of acupuncture education.

This is a unique opportunity to foster collaboration, and champion the educational aims of an influential complementary health profession recognised by the WHO. We are looking for someone who values the profession, understands its potential, and is committed to supporting its educational development and visibility.

To ensure an independent perspective informed by broader sector insight (across higher education and health), this role is open to senior education leaders from other UK healthcare professions outside acupuncture.

What you’ll do

· Support the development of the educational strategy and decision-making that ensures the committee’s work is both forward-looking and fit-for-purpose.

· Lead and chair meetings effectively, balancing strong voices and diverse perspectives.

· Uphold the principles of Public life (NOLAN principles)  build collaboration and trust across committee members, staff leading on education, and external stakeholders.

· Bring an external perspective to shape the committee’s work, policies, and outputs so they are credible, impactful, and positively perceived by external audiences (e.g., public, students, other professions).

· Navigate the balance between autonomy in your committee’s work and alignment with the wider membership body’s vision, working closely with the Governing Board, CEO, and Deputy CEO/Education Manager.

· Working with the Chair of the Accreditation committee, support the accreditation and activity of the BAcC.

Who we’re looking for

Someone with significant senior leadership experience in UK healthcare higher education, from a profession other than acupuncture, with a strong understanding of professional education, governance, and academic standards.

You will have:

· a collaborative, inclusive style and excellent facilitation skills

· the ability to manage vocal and engaged members effectively while maintaining focus on outcomes

· strategic thinking with the ability to bring external insight to influence committee outputs and alignment with wider organisational goals

· the capacity to balance independent judgment and delegated authority alongside understanding education’s role within the organisational vision and priorities

· a passion for supporting and championing acupuncture education and standards while offering an independent perspective informed by broader sector insight

Time commitment:

· 3 meetings per year plus 4 Governing Board meetings

· Regular touchpoints with Chair of the Governing Board, Chair of Accreditation Committee, CEO and Education manager.

· Undertake preparatory work in advance of meetings.

About the role:

This role is based in London with Hybrid working.

As a Senior IDVA you will be:

• The main purpose of the job is to effectively manage and develop a high quality, innovative and pro-active domestic abuse service for victims and their children, including those at highest risk. Also you will need to ensure that the service prioritises the safety, security and dignity of service users and their children.
• The job would also include you being lead in crisis situations and to provide advice and guidance on safeguarding issues and information sharing concern
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
• Develop your team and address their individual development/performance needs, set individual and team objectives and undertake annual appraisals.

You will need:

• To be successful in this role, you will need to have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse, including the impact on victims and their children, and the legal and practical remedies available to these clients.
• Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practice and legislation relating to equal opportunities and diversity, inclusivity, safeguarding and risk assessments.
• Experience managing the delivery of domestic abuse services and managerial experience will also be necessary as well as having a thorough understanding of IDVA work.
• A proven ability to confidently use various IT systems including Case Management, Microsoft Office, Zoom, Outlook and other online applications/platforms.
• You would also need to hold a SafeLives IDVA training certificate, a relevant degree, a vocational qualification or have equivalent experience.
• An enhanced criminal record check and police vetting is required for this role.

THE ROLE

Mark is looking for a General Manager to work closely with him. He is an entrepreneur and creator. To balance this, Mark needs someone steady, organised, and practical to turn ideas into plans and keep the day-to-day running smoothly.

This is a start-up role: exciting, busy, and varied. There’s a lot to do, and you’ll need to be efficient, flexible, and ready to roll up your sleeves.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

· Someone with experience in project management, operations, or general management in a social enterprise, or small start-up

· A meticulous and practical organiser who enjoys making things work and getting things done

· Someone who wants to work with purpose, helping build a socially oriented organisation

· Efficient, empathetic, and comfortable juggling a wide range of tasks

· Tech-savvy and confident using AI/digital tools to make processes simple and efficient

· Flexible: this role could be full-time, part-time, or suit someone returning to work

WHAT YOU’LL DO

· Project management: Plan and manage projects from start to finish, making sure deadlines are met and everyone delivers on their part.

· Meetings and follow-up: Organise and run management meetings, keep notes, and make sure agreed actions happen.

· Governance: Oversee compliance and act as Company Secretary, keeping records accurate and up to date.

· Finance: Use Xero and work with accountants/bookkeepers to oversee budgets, accounts, and financial reports so the numbers are always clear.

· Fundraising and business development: Support funding applications, proposals, and relationships with partners to bring in new opportunities.

· Operations: Keep the day-to-day running smoothly — from diary management and HR basics to coordinating contractors.

· Communications: Maintain simple but effective comms, updating the website and keeping social media active.

SKILLS & QUALITIES

· Strong organisational and project management skills

· An excellent writer, whether contracts, bids or public facing materials

· Experience of operations, governance, and finance oversight in a small organisation, ideally a social enterprise or startup

· Confidence managing budgets and financial reporting (not a finance role, but able to keep track)

· Able to communicate clearly and keep people focused

· Empathetic, socially minded, and committed to putting people first

We are looking for a Legacy Administrator to support the administration of legacies left to the charity. This vital role helps ensure that Dogs Trust receives the legacy income needed to continue our life-saving work with dogs, while working closely with colleagues across the Legal Department to keep the charity operating smoothly and effectively.

What does this role do?

As a Legacy Administrator you will: 

• Process incoming legacy notifications, involving managing post, opening new files on the First Class 4 database, and accurately inputting data from solicitors and Smee & Ford notification reports.
• Manage a caseload of pecuniary and specific legacies, ensuring timely receipt of income and accurate record-keeping.
•  Represent and protect the charity’s interests in correspondence with solicitors, other beneficiaries, and members of the public.
• Responding to queries via phone and monitoring and managing the Legacies inbox and escalating significant issues to senior members of the legacy administration team where needed.
•  Maintain up-to-date and accurate records on the First Class 4 database, ensuring all legacy cases are regularly reviewed and progressed.
• Support with reporting, financial administration, and the management of specific gifts, including obtaining valuations and advice to maximise income for the charity.
• Process and allocate all legacy income accurately.
• Provide administrative support to the team and help with other ad hoc tasks as needed.

Do you have?

• proven legacy administration skills preferably gained in a charity or another regulated sector?
• experience of working with First Class 4 database or an equivalent?
• excellent written and verbal communication skills?
• experience of drafting professional correspondence to solicitors and surveyors?

Then this could be for you. This is a good opportunity if you are interested in administratively supporting a busy legacy team. Although not essential, a Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration is desirable.

What does this team do?

 The Legal Department sits within the Finance, Legal & Governance Directorate and is responsible for overseeing all legal matters relating to the charity’s operations and activities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, managing legal risks, and providing strategic advice across a wide range of issues. The department works closely with senior leadership, trustees, and external legal partners to navigate complex legal challenges, and is also responsible for Legacy Administration.
