Age UK is hiring an Executive and Governance Officer to provide essential support to two Executive Leaders and their associated Trustee Committees. This is an important role at the heart of our leadership team, ensuring seamless operations and effective communication across trustees, executives and stakeholders.
You will manage diaries, coordinate meetings and travel, handle expenses, and oversee departmental administration. Alongside this, you will deliver full governance support for Trustee Committees, including preparing agendas and papers, taking minutes, tracking actions, and ensuring compliance with governance standards. The role also involves organising team meetings and events, supporting recruitment processes, and maintaining accurate records and office systems.
We are looking for someone highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident in managing multiple priorities. Experience in executive support and governance administration is essential, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

This is a hybrid opportunity, a blend of homebased and office working. Our linked office for this role is in London (near Tower Hill). You will be expected to attend the office circa twice a month. Travel costs to the London office are not covered by the charity.

Additional Information
The role will be required to be in the linked office at least twice a month. In this case the linked office is One America Square (EC3N 2LB).

Responsibilities of our Information Governance Officer:
- Ensure we handle personal data responsibly and comply with data protection laws
- Help maintain systems and processes that keep information secure and protect privacy
- Monitor and review data protection training across the organisation
- Respond to data protection requests in a timely and accurate manner
- Investigate potential data breaches and assist with resolution
- Support with audits related to information governance and compliance
- work with teams to ensure their activities are compliant with data protection legislation
- Carry out administrative activities as required
About the Information Governance team:
The Information Governance team develop, deliver and maintain the essential systems and processes that underpin information governance and data protection compliance. The team is small but sits within the wider IT and Data Governance department.
What we’re looking for in our Information Governance Officer:
- Experience in a relevant, data governance role
- ISO Certified GDPR qualification or equivalent
- Experience of responding to data protection requests and enquiries
- Experience of reviewing compliance documentation and process maps
- Experience reviewing compliance training material
- Strong ability to work alone, on initiative
- Excellent organisational and communication skills and attention to detail
- Broad knowledge of data protection legislation (GDPR, DPA 2018, PECR)
- Fundraising compliance would be an advantage

We are seeking an organised and analytical Governance and Performance Officer to support strong decision making, accountability and regulatory assurance within a values driven housing organisation.
Position: Governance and Performance Officer
Salary: £32,022 per annum

About the role
Reporting to the Corporate Assurance and People Manager, this is a varied and influential role supporting effective governance, performance management and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with senior colleagues and Board members, providing high quality coordination, insight and assurance in a regulated social housing environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating Board and Committee activity including agendas, papers, minutes and action tracking
- Maintaining governance documentation, registers and forward plans
- Producing clear governance, performance and assurance reports to support informed decision making
- Managing performance management frameworks, dashboards and reporting
- Supporting risk management, audit activity and regulatory compliance
- Maintaining oversight of policies, assurance logs and contract registers
- Supporting data protection and information governance activity including GDPR and Subject Access Requests
- Acting as a system administrator for governance, performance and assurance systems
About you
You will be confident working with complex information and senior stakeholders, with strong judgement and attention to detail.
You will bring:
- Experience in governance, performance, assurance or corporate support within a regulated environment
- Experience supporting Boards, Committees or senior management groups
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, trends and risk
- Excellent written communication skills for senior audiences
- Confidence managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong IT and systems skills and a methodical, organised approach
Experience in social housing or a similar regulated sector is desirable but not essential.
