Link Age Southwark is a local charity whose vision is for friendly local communities where people over the age of 60 and those living with a diagnosis of dementia can thrive.

We are seeking an organised and dynamic storyteller to draw in an audience of potential funders, local partners and community volunteers in support of our vital work with older people experiencing loneliness.

As well as helping to maintain an engaging website and social media presence, this role will also support the delivery of fundraising events and campaigns, and the development of local community and corporate partnerships. You will also be creating physical and digital marketing resources and helping to manage a database of donors and other supporters.

Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year round night shelter provision. 

APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support. 

The Community Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships within the local community to support APAP’s fundraising efforts, including schools, local businesses, faith and community groups. A key feature of this role will be developing increased year-round community engagement and fundraising, leading into the planning and delivery of at least one annual fundraising campaign. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage directly with stakeholders to build strong partnerships, whilst contributing strategically to the growth of the charity's fundraising efforts. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a specialist Domestic Abuse focused Triage & Early Interventions Officer to join the Gwent team in Pontypool Police Station, working 37.5 hours a week. This is a fixed term post until February 2025.

About the role:

This role is based In Pontypool Police Station however we have currently adopted a hybrid model. As a Triage and Early Interventions Officer you will:

• Act as the first point of contact for clients referred in to the service, ensuring that comprehensive impact and risks assessments are completed and a tailored response to each client's needs is provided.
• Carry a caseload of clients who require more immediate and short term interventions, referring on those with more long term needs either internally or externally. Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions.
• Ensure that support plans are developed with clients where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service.
• Provide accurate and timely performance information for internal and external use.
• Work with the client and other statutory and voluntary agencies to address the identified needs.
• Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns including both child protection and vulnerable adult issues.
• Ensure that all clients are of aware of their rights under the Victim's Code of Practice and the Witness Charter.
• To work alongside a team of staff (and volunteers where applicable) to reflect the diverse community and the needs of the victims, including those with particular vulnerabilities, utilising national and local resources to deliver individual, bespoke services with respect, dignity and sensitivity.

Qualifications:

POST: Healthy Relationships Project Worker

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week between the hours of 9am - 10pm Monday to Sunday, (flexibility is expected to suit the needs of the project and young people)

Once a successful probation period of 3 months is completed the option to opt into our 4 day working week is implemented.

• Provide a support service to young people across Cardiff, working in partnership with statutory and voluntary professionals to ensure young people are supported with their sexual health and relationship needs.

Join us as a Retrofit Advisor and help shape the future of self-funded home energy improvements in the West of England.

We’re expanding our well-established retrofit advice service and are looking for someone passionate about supporting homeowners to act. You’ll play a key role in developing our new home visit service and, over time, contribute to delivering our in-house HEEP retrofit assessment service.

Operating in the West of England Combined Authority region, we specialise in guiding homeowners through the self-funded retrofit journey – from initial advice and home visits through to the installation of energy-saving measures. You’ll provide trusted, impartial guidance to help homeowners make informed decisions about improving the comfort, energy efficiency, and sustainability of their homes.

As part of this role, you’ll also be involved in shaping the launch of our upcoming landlord services, helping private landlords understand their retrofit responsibilities and supporting them with tailored advice and practical steps to upgrade their properties. In addition, you will help support tenants.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing independent, tailored, and high-quality advice to homeowners on retrofit and energy efficiency measures

• Conducting remote and in-person home energy advice visits

• Working with householders to identify suitable improvements and helping them plan next steps

• Collaborating with our wider retrofit team to ensure a joined-up experience for clients

• Supporting the development and delivery of our Home Energy Efficiency Plan (HEEP) assessment service

Main Duties

Customer Engagement & Retrofit Advice

• Serve as the first point of contact for homeowners exploring retrofit options.

• Build strong relationships and provide clear, impartial advice throughout the retrofit journey — from initial enquiry to installation and follow-up.

Project Delivery & Operations

• This is a varied role that will involve working across multiple projects, requiring a dynamic and adaptable approach.

• Contribute to the day-to-day management of Retrofit West and related projects, ensuring smooth delivery and high-quality service.

• Maintain accurate client records and progress updates using our CRM system.

• Provide feedback and ideas to improve tools, processes, and the overall customer journey.

• Collaborate closely with the wider Retrofit West team, to deliver a joined-up service.

Training & Development

About the role:

This role is based between our Northern Hampshire office in Basingstoke and from home on a hybrid basis. You will be working shifts Monday to Friday between either 8am and 4pm, 10am and 6pm or 12pm and 8pm. You will also be required to work a minimum of 1 Saturday per month 8am to 4pm where you will receive a day off in lieu during the week. About The Role

- We would like to welcome applications from passionate and experienced Group Facilitators to join our Hertfordshire team to support our Dementia Support Group provision.
As part of the new Dementia Support contract in Hertfordshire, which started in October 2024, the Alzheimer’s Society has taken over the management and facilitation of dementia support group services across Hertfordshire. Currently we manage 22 centre-based activities groups (weekly) across Herts, in addition to another 4-5 online groups (carers and Young Onset specific). The groups are well established and a crucial means of support to service users and carers.  We are in the process of reviewing our groups, this might result in us developing more new and varied groups (respite, specific communities or location specific) in the coming months.
As a group facilitator you will have many key functions, this will include managing and facilitating weekly activities based groups (could range from 2-4 groups per week), structuring a 12 week program for the groups you manage in consultation with service users and carers; managing volunteers that support your groups, working with local Dementia Advisers to provide 1-2-1 support for groups attendees and establishing relationships with local organisations for the purposes of facilitating signposted support for service users.
You will be joining a team of expert Group Facilitators and Dementia Advisers that are experienced and passionate about their work, and they will support you to undertake your role successfully. 
About you

- Passionate about supporting people to maintain their independence, improve their sense of well-being, and help them take more control of their lives.
- Experience of managing and supporting groups.
- Experience of supporting people within a group setting.
- Be creative in developing activities.
- Strong communication skills to deliver advice and guidance with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
- Good IT skills, including experience working with databases and virtual meeting software (Teams / Zoom).
- Able to network effectively and collaborating with other professionals to achieve a positive outcome for people.
- Be able to travel independently across Hertfordshire.

- Working pattern to include Mondays and Fridays

What you’ll focus on:

- Manage and facilitate weekly activity-based dementia support groups across Herts.
- Plan and organise 12 weekly activities programs for the groups you will manage.
- Offer light touch support to group attendees and liaise with local Dementia Advisers to facilitate 1-2-1 support for group attendees/ carers (if required).
- Create new groups in consultation with service users and based on needs of the area (quadrant) where you will manage and facilitate groups. 
- Manage volunteers that will support the groups you manage.
- Engage with the wider team and community organisations

This is a vital role as we seek to deepen and expand connections with the College’s alumni community. We are looking for a communications officer who can create  interesting and moving content about our dedicated teams and their patients and service-users. Main duties of the job

• Creating content, managing and evaluating social media outputs
• Celebrating the work of colleagues internally via the staff bulletin, intranet and direct communication channels
• Creating content for the website and recognising appropriate news stories to share externally
• Attending events and providing photography and commentary
• Using Canva and similar design tools to create communications materials
• Managing the communications area on the staff intranet along with the news carousel and a number of corporate areas.
• Drafting internal messaging for all-staff communications.
• Advising colleagues on appropriate language for patient information.
• Deputising for the marketing and communications lead where appropriate.

This is a full-time post and is for 37.5 hours per week, although 0.8 FTE may be considered. The usual working hours are 9-5 and will be Monday - Friday.

You will be mostly based at Hollyfield House in Surbiton although you will also need to be able to travel to our other sites as needed, Surbiton Health Centre and Teddington Memorial Hospital. You will need to attend a limited number of events locally also.
