About You
The Events Administration Assistant is responsible for supporting the Events Operations Manager with ensuring the accurate management of registrations, financial processes, documentation and stakeholder communications providing successful operational delivery of the Society’s full programme of events and will play a key role in maintaining high service standards for delegates, speakers and partners while supporting the smooth delivery of conferences and meetings.

The postholder will maintain and update event databases, including processing registrations, amendments and cancellations, process events payments, and provide administrative coordination for these events, including registration management, speaker communications, documentation and logistics tracking.

The successful candidate will have experience in a customer facing role with excellent communication and organisational skills and have excellent attention to detail.

Role purpose 

We are looking for a proactive and organised Marketing & Communications Assistant to support the delivery of digital content and campaigns across Southampton Hospitals Charity’s channels. 

This role will play a key part in ensuring our communications are delivered consistently and effectively, supporting social media, email marketing and website activity. Working closely with the Campaigns & Marketing Manager and Editorial and Communications Officer, you will help bring our stories to life across digital channels and ensure content is published, scheduled and monitored to a high standard.

Key tasks and responsibilities  

Digital content delivery and channel management 

• Support the delivery of content across digital channels, including social media, website and email marketing. 

• Schedule and publish content across social media platforms, ensuring consistency and alignment with campaign plans. 

• Monitor social media channels, responding to comments and messages where appropriate and escalating where needed. 

• Assist with maintaining and updating website content, including uploading stories, blogs, and campaign pages. 

• Support the build and scheduling of email campaigns using Mailchimp. 

Content creation and design 

• Create engaging social media assets and simple marketing materials using Canva (or similar tools).

• Source and format images for use across digital channels.

• Support the creation of short-form copy for social media, email and web content.

• Ensure all content follows brand guidelines and is accessible and inclusive. 

Campaign and team support 

• Support the delivery of fundraising and awareness campaigns across digital channels. 

• Create fundraising and campaign materials using Canva (or similar tools).

• Work closely with the Editorial and Communications Officer to bring stories and case studies to life online. 

• Assist with coordinating content and ensuring deadlines are met. 

• Provide general administrative and operational support to the communications and marketing team. 

• Digital performance and improvement 

• Support the tracking and reporting of digital performance, including social media and email metrics.

• Produce regular summaries of performance to help inform future activity.

• Identify opportunities to improve content and engagement across channels.

Person specification 

Knowledge and experience 

• Experience using social media platforms (either professionally or personally) and an understanding of how content performs across channels.

• Experience creating content and assets using tools such as Canva or similar design platform (or willingness to learn).

• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and engagingly for digital audiences. 

• Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) website content management systems (e.g. WordPress).

• Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp.

Your role

We are looking for a proactive and talented individual who has demonstrable experience of working in trust fundraising, and who can build rapport and meaningful relationships with key trustees and major donors. Writing and submitting applications and proposals to trusts will be the core focus of your role, with a view to securing sizeable donations for the work of CMS. You will also have a small caseload of existing individual major donors and small family trusts to both retain and grow their financial giving. You will have outstanding relationship building skills and an ability to establish rapport quickly with existing and prospective trusts and major donors. You will be a confident and able communicator across a variety of media, including written correspondence, telephone, online and in-person face-to-face meetings.  You will be able to demonstrate a strong ability to cultivate existing trust and major donor relationships (or equivalent customer / sales or account management roles) as well as experience of having implemented acquisition strategies in order to grow income through significant major gifts.

What you’ll need to succeed

We are looking for a seasoned and skilled fundraiser who has been successfully working in a trust and major donor environment or equivalent customer facing role (sales / account management), with evidence of retaining and growing an existing caseload of supporters to secure new and significant income to support the charity’s work. You will have solid experience of effectively working across multiple teams and collaborating with others. You will possess the excellent written skills needed to craft successful applications to trusts and major donors, and have a keen eye on the detail. Additionally, excellent database and administrative knowledge are essential.

It is a requirement for this post holder to be a committed and practising Christian as well as committed to CMS’s values and aims.

As a Graduate Engineer, you will help produce technical work by using your developing skills and knowledge. You will work with periodic supervision, within a personalised graduate programme which will support you as you grow your expertise. This includes structured mentoring on the path to ICE chartership. Your work will contribute to delivering high-quality and sustainable solutions that support the mission of the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team including designers, engineers, technicians and other technical specialists. Together, you will help deliver projects and programmes that support the Trust’s strategic priorities.

A new opportunity has arisen to join the Newt Conservation Partnership as Finance Officer. This exciting role will work closely with our Operations Manager and COO supporting the development and refinement of our financial systems. As Youth Engagement and Transitions Officer, you will lead and coordinate our Youth Advisory Group, ensuring young people have genuine influence over organisational priorities and decision-making. You will develop and maintain a thriving graduate and alumni network, creating opportunities for continued connection, mentoring and professional development. You will also design and deliver a Transitions Programme that supports young people as they move into education, employment or further opportunities, working with our Partnerships team to engage Envision's corporate partners where relevant. 

Youth voice will run through everything you do. Working closely with the Communications Manager, you will ensure young people's perspectives are authentically reflected across our communications - from social media and campaigns to case studies and co-created content. You will be part of the Programmes and Impact Team, collaborating with colleagues across London, Birmingham and Bristol to embed meaningful youth participation at every level of the organisation. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead and coordinate the Youth Advisory Group and internal youth voice working group 

• Design and deliver a Transitions Programme and graduate/alumni network

We are looking for a highly organised Practice and Programmes Coordinator to work as a core member of our Practice and Programmes team.

About you

You will play a vital role supporting the management of our diverse portfolio of projects working as part of the team with a broad range of clients, members, and partners including individual councils, the NHS, and other public and voluntary sector partners to enable them to become more community powered. With some experience in project management, people, and research skills, you will act as the team's administrative engine, working as the organising power behind the team's high-quality delivery of our practice and programme work.

You will be supported to explore and work on your personal and professional development as part of the role, and have the opportunity to build your facilitation skills, working alongside other team members as part of online and in person sessions. From time to time, you will also have the opportunity to support the wider organisation activity including supporting our member network and events programme. 

Your job will incldue:

• Coordinate several projects at the same time, supporting team members to deliver high quality work, on time and within agreed budgets.

• Coordinate project meetings, both internally and externally, capturing key decisions and actions and working with the team to develop effective project management mechanisms to enable smooth delivery.

• Act as a first point of contact for project work, providing timely project management updates for internal and external stakeholders.

• Support the design and delivery of workshops and events, particularly through coordination of logistics (venue, catering, IT, materials needed, etc.) and liaising with our team, clients, and participants to ensure sessions are delivered smoothly.

• Support project leads to prepare high quality, compelling project resources including presentations, reports, and blogs. 

• Support project leads in designing and delivering a range of research activities including desk research, focus groups, interviews, and analysis. 

• Work with New Local’s Finance Officer and Head of Operations & Finance to ensure invoicing, and payments related to the Practice and Programme team’s work are processed in a timely manner.

• Provide support to network and member events, work on internal projects and a range of other activities which support your individual and organisational development.

The Philanthropy Administrator is the backbone of a team that raises up to £18m each year to support young people across the UK. This role brings rhythm, structure and momentum to busy, high‑value fundraising activity, making sure ideas turn into action and plans land smoothly. Your organisation and coordination keep the philanthropy team focused, effective and able to deliver at pace.

You will keep the engine running day to day. This includes coordinating donor events and engagement activity, managing CRM updates and RSVPs, arranging travel and logistics, supporting senior colleagues and keeping finances, invoices and budgets on track. We are looking for someone to provide key administrative and practical support for a range of projects. The post holder will have excellent administration and interpersonal skills, helping to ensure our projects run smoothly by carrying out tasks effectively and on time, using their own initiative to problem solve and seeking clarity where needed. They will build good working relationships within Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) and with external stakeholders.

Pay and conditions

• The role is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week).

• The starting salary for the role will be £26,450 per year.

• You will be entitled to 25 days paid holiday (plus statutory holidays).

Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

• To provide administrative support for the timely delivery of project activities, accurate record keeping and robust reporting across a range of CSE projects and initiatives.

• To provide support for the planning, promotion and delivery of training sessions, external workshops and events (both online and in person).

• To play a key role in co-ordinating our support (including grant giving) for community-based organisations, including acting as a key point of contact, recording support, tracking payments, monitoring delivery, and maintaining records.

• To liaise with a range of stakeholders, potentially including community groups, local authorities, town and parish councils, and partners in our youth work initiatives.

• To represent CSE on a range of projects, in external in-person and online meetings and events.

• To support promotion of CSE projects, activities, reports and publications to ensure effective engagement with the target audience.

Essential attributes for this role include:

In this role, you will provide administrative support to the senior leadership and wider NCOB team which will include acting as the first point on contact on administrative and operational matters including financial and HR related processes. You will have excellent administrative and coordination skills, be a strong communicator and comfortable working with a range of people across multiple workstreams as well as liaising with external stakeholders. You will have excellent organisational and planning skills, be comfortable juggling different tasks and have a problem-solving mindset.

We are seeking a highly efficient, collaborative professional with a keen eye for detail to work closely with the CEO in a supporting role.
