A fantastic permanent opportunity has arisen for a part-time Fundraising Officer to join our dynamic, friendly and supportive fundraising team. This is a home-based role and will suit an individual living in the North of England. You will be reporting to the Corporate & Regional Fundraising Manager and working in a very varied and exciting working environment.

The perfect candidate will enjoy forging positive and robust relationships with supporters including corporate partners, small businesses, philanthropic groups as well as supporting community fundraisers across the North of England, to raise vital income for our Association.  

You will use your creative and professional skillset to provide high-quality account management, stewardship, and growth across all managed income streams. No two days are the same and we are looking for someone who can be flexible in their approach and able to multitask effectively.

Purpose of the job

This role creates a positive impact for young people by managing partners through the effective delivery of our youth work programmes, delivering high quality facilitation and training and building excellent relationships across a region to contribute to improvements in our network offer.

 Working with Project Mangers across Network Delivery, you will enable the effective delivery of our provision to the youth sector through effective contract management and support for partnerships with Delivery Partners and Grantees. You will deliver high quality training and facilitated sessions, translating curriculum and content into engaging and effective delivery. Working across the Northeast of England, Wales and Northern Ireland you will pro-actively build relationships with organisations and networks and foster connections that will help to unlock youth work for all young people. You will gather insights from across your area to feed into and contribute to the development of our offer to our network.

Key responsibilities

Programme delivery

• Account and contract management of relationships with a portfolio of Delivery Partners and Grantees within your geographical location

• Ensure that Delivery Partners and Grantees understand their programme and grant requirements and are successfully delivering against those

• Support Project Managers in coordinating and administering a range of project activities through the project lifecycle including contracting, onboarding, monitoring progress, event management and delivery and data collection

• Conduct visits to youth organisations engaged in our digital and physical delivery

• Support the Impact team with monitoring and evaluation of our work as required, including data input and collection

• Support the External Relations team with opportunities to engage media and politicians with specific projects.

Facilitation and training

• Deliver engaging and effective facilitation, training and events across both digital and physical platforms.

• Translate curriculum, content and workforce development tools into impactful delivery for youth workers and young people across both digital and physical platforms.

Network Development

• Build knowledge of the provision of support for young people in your geographical location to enable you to act as an effective relationship builder, networker and connector

• Actively engage individuals, organisations and specific networks that can support development of our delivery (e.g., employment networks, regional infrastructure organisations, Violence Reduction Networks)

• Facilitate Delivery and Grantee networks and collaboration spaces as per the requirements of our youth work provision and network offer

• Engage Delivery Partners and Grantees with our network offer and facilitate the embedding of our youth development content and workforce support tools

• Identify opportunities to showcase excellent Delivery Partner and/or Grantee practice to the wider network through our internal and external channels

• Develop regional network insights and intelligence and feed those into the development of our network offer

Database Management: This includes managing the pipeline, updating records, creating a variety of monthly internal reports, monitoring timelines and investigating any communication queries from funders. You will ensure all due diligence processes are recorded and segment data to maximise Trust, Foundation and Corporate income.

• Works effectively with those within the team, the wider organisation and external stakeholders

You will provide subject matter expert support within our Patient Support Services team, and will work closely with our Patient Support & Advocacy Officers to develop and grow this service in your area.

Summary
To raise awareness of the service and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals, and other kidney stakeholder groups in your defined geographic region.

Key responsibilities
• With support, establish the Kidney Care UK Money & Energy Advice Service in the region for patients and carers at risk of fuel poverty to access independent support on money and energy matters
• Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Money & Energy Advice Service across the region, effectively managing an ongoing caseload
• Provide practical advice to patients, assessing their needs and identifying sources of support to resolve financial, practical and psychosocial challenges.

To help us with this important mission, we currently have a vacancy for a Community Engagement Officer.

As Community Engagement Officer, you’ll be at the heart of delivering positive change through the PlayZones Programme, helping to increase physical activity among priority groups: individuals from low socio-economic backgrounds, women and girls, disabled people and those with long-term health conditions, and culturally diverse communities. 

You’ll manage a portfolio of PlayZones projects, working closely with our Delivery Managers to ensure each project is shaped by meaningful community input, and leading the development and implementation of community engagement plans.

Over the last 22 years, the Foundation has awarded more than 23,000 grants to deliver outstanding grassroots facilities across England worth more than £877 million. This year, the Foundation will be investing more money than ever into facilities across England and is committed to improving the experience of playing football for everyone.  

The Foundation’s goal is to unlock the power of pitches ensuring everyone has a great place to play regardless of gender, race, disability or place.  

What are we looking for? 

We’d love to hear from you if you’re a passionate, organised, and community-minded individual with a strong background in community-led project development. You’ll bring proven experience supporting underrepresented or priority groups and addressing inequalities in physical activity, alongside the confidence to lead inclusive meetings and build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Skilled in juggling multiple projects, you’ll be comfortable managing competing deadlines while maintaining high standards and attention to detail. You’ll have excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex processes and engage partners remotely and in person. A natural collaborator and creative problem-solver, you’ll be proactive, adaptable, and able to turn insight into action. Familiarity with capital funding processes, project management tools, and place-based working would be an advantage, but most of all, we’re after someone who shares our values, believes in fairness and inclusion, and is ready to help communities thrive through physical activity.

What can we offer you? 

The salary band for this role is £32,000-34,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience. 

You will start with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (which increases after 2 years), plus additional time off to volunteer. We also offer a generous pension scheme (8% employer contribution), free health care provision, a monthly gym subsidy, interest-free season ticket loan, death in service benefit and access to selected match tickets.

As the Trusts and Foundations Officer you will proactively research, steward and secure income from a pipeline of trusts and foundations. You'll be identifying suitable trusts and developing impactful applications, reports and stewardship assets to grow and develop relationships. We'd love you to help use creativity and innovation to engage, inspire and motivate supporters, playing a pivotal role in helping Bowel Cancer UK grow income and ensure we can continue to meet the needs of people affected by bowel cancer.

This role sits within the wider Partnerships and Philanthropy team, working directly alongside our Philanthropy Manager. You will also be supported by the Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy and our team assistants, as well as working closely with our corporate partnerships team.
