Guts UK is the only charity that covers the digestive system from top to tail, including the
gut, the liver and the pancreas. The charity focuses particularly on the conditions that have no other specific charity or voice - conditions that are underserved, such as pancreatitis, diverticular disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), childhood gut and liver disease, and digestive cancers. With their mission being to improve the lives of the millions of people affected by digestive conditions, they are looking for their first Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager to help them reach that goal.
The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and high net worth individuals with the propensity to donate significant sums. There is huge scope to develop both income streams at Guts UK, as this is the first dedicated position covering these income streams.
With some fantastic corporate partnerships in place already, there is great potential to build on the existing foundations and leverage those corporate partnerships to secure more ranging from transactional right up to transformational.
The philanthropy function has green shoots to nurture and develop. This is an exciting role for a candidate who wants to grow and shape this income stream, and demonstrate their personal impact on generating income, and providing donors with an incredible supporter experience.
This specialist manager role would suit someone who is already operating at a senior fundraiser or manager level, or someone who can demonstrate experience of developing a corporate and/or major donor pipeline, creating operational plans and delivering income. Guts UK is a small charity with big ambition so a background that includes working within a smaller charity would be helpful for the candidate to have but isn't essential.
This is one role advertised twice to ensure candidates across both hybrid locations can apply. This role is hybrid with candidates happy to work a minimum of one day per week from the London or Hudderfield office welcome to apply. The Hudderfield office address is The Media Centre, 7 Northumberland St, Huddersfield, HD1 1RL. The Fundraising Administrator works from the Huddersfield office, along with the Comms team, Research team and the Services/Helpline team. The Senior Fundraising Manager, Trusts and Foundations Manager and the Community and Events Manager work hybrid from the London office at St Andrews Place.

Exciting opportunity for a charity sector Community Helpline Manager in Torbay
The Torbay Health and Wellbeing Voluntary Sector Network in Torbay is recruiting a full-time Manager to oversee the Torbay Community Helpline.
This post will be based in the local voluntary sector infrastructure organisation - Torbay Communities, hosts of the Community Helpline.
We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead this nationally recognised and acclaimed innovation. Torbay’s Community Helpline was established during the Covid pandemic and has since been developed by the local community into a central access point to the voluntary and community sector as a whole. Since 2021, it has also been the front door for new Adult Social Care referrals in the area through a unique partnership with the local statutory sector. Providing the best possible support to local residents the Helpline’s strapline ‘One Call – That’s All’ sums up the holistic approach. Individuals and families can access a wide range of support from food parcels to mental health support, help with isolation to debt advice etc. The Helpline links into over 100 voluntary sector organisations locally and into grassroots networks of residents offering support to each other. The Helpline has a strengths-based approach to its operations, with callers often helping others after they have received some support.
We are looking for someone who can lead this initiative into the next phase. Someone with the relevant experience who can identify the Helpline’s potential and - working with staff, volunteers, voluntary sector and statutory sector partners - deliver excellent support to our residents and develop the Helpline to meet future needs.

Funded by The National Lottery Reaching Communities, we are looking for a passionate and motivated manager, who is aligned with our clinical approach, to cultivate and grow the counselling service in line with our mission to see survivors of modern slavery and exploitation recover from their experiences and thrive. This role is responsible for leading a team, developing the counselling offer and contributing to systems change within the UK through social policy and research.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading and managing a team of counsellors, promoting reflection, wellbeing and innovation within the service
- Developing our therapeutic service in collaboration with the counselling and Leadership team
- Providing 1:1 therapeutic counselling service for a small number of survivors of modern slavery with complex needs
- Contributing to the development of an evidence base for the service, delivering training and contributing to research
