This is an exciting opportunity to join the City of London’s Central Funding and Charity Management Team (CFCMT) as a Funding and Charity Manager, to support the Funding and Charity Management Lead to deliver the Community Infrastructure Levy Neighbourhood Fund and other grant programmes.

The Central Funding and Charity Management Team are based in the City Bridge Foundation but work across the City of London’s different functions. The Team develops, manages and delivers funding programmes across the City of London Corporation and its different functions as a Local Authority, a Corporation and a Corporate Trustee. In addition, the Team manages 6 Charities on behalf of the City of London and has a Charity policy and governance remit across the whole City of London charity portfolio.

The Team oversees the CIL Neighbourhood Fund, Proceeds of Crime Act Funding and the Central Grants Programme and manages 6 charities on behalf of the City of London that provide funding across a variety of initiatives.

You will assess applications to the CFCMT working across a variety of grant programmes including a significant strategic grant initiative for two City of London Charities. You will support the Teams evolving ‘Funder Plus’ offer and implementing a ‘total assets approach’ to use the full range of funding, knowledge, networks and expertise available through City Bridge Foundation and the City of London Corporation; and make recommendations to Members to guide their funding decisions.

You will manage an interesting and diverse portfolio of funding agreements and ensure that the monitoring and evaluation are carried out; distilling any learning from the portfolio in line with the Units commitment to Learning and Impact.

The Senior Grants Manager will take a leading role in delivering The Childhood Trust’s new grant-making strategy. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Grants Support Executive to join a leading national charity. This is a full-time, permanent role providing a support and delivery function for the charity’s individual and organisational grants programme.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Provide a secretariat function to the grants committee, including preparation of committee briefs, reports, draft minutes, and liaison with committee and sub-committee members
• Support the grants strategy programme director and board in delivery and administration
• Assist Grants Officers in making grants to partner organisations and individuals, deputising during periods of absence

• Minimum of three years’ experience in charity grant making, welfare, or related administrative experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce succinct and accurate reports, policy papers, and correspondence

About the role

The Grants Officer will join our small, hardworking, friendly team and will be responsible for overseeing the monthly grants programme. They will support the Director in collating the board papers for each of the three annual Trustees’ meetings. They will also be expected to help assess the large and medium grant applications that go through to the Trustees’ meetings. The new Grants Officer will be asked to visit charities and projects, which will entail travel across England and Wales. The new Grants Officer will also maintain the grants database, be responsible for updating the new website and be the first port of call for any grant application enquiries.

About you

This role would suit a range of candidates and we are open to candidates without direct grant making experience but the successful candidate will need a demonstrable understanding and knowledge of the grants world. We are particularly keen to hear from people who have energy, enthusiasm, good communication and relationship building skills and experience and confidence with databases. An understanding of how to read charity accounts would be a bonus but training will be provided for the chosen candidate. You will have an aptitude for working both independently and as part of a collaborative team and managing a varied and busy workload.

We are seeking a fixed-term Grants Manager to join the Access to Justice Foundation through July 2026. The successful candidate will join us at a particularly exciting period of organisational growth and will support us to deliver on increased grant making activity. They will lead the day-to-day operational delivery of our grant making programmes – including overseeing systems and processes to ensure efficient and effective grant making and maintaining relationships with grantees, other funders, and key stakeholders as required.   ABOUT THE ROLE 

  We are looking for an experienced and committed individual to join us as a Start Fund Programme Officer, a critical role supporting the implementation of the global Start Fund. As Start Fund Programme Officer you will work with a wide range of stakeholders within the Start Network, supporting members on accessing Start Fund particularly for Anticipatory and Early Actions. You will also be responsible for project and team administration, such as processing of disbursements and record keeping of all project documents. You will support reporting, project compliance and escalate complaints and incidents.

The organisation is an independent charitable foundation that aims to build partnerships and invest in communities to make lasting change so local residents can access the wealth of opportunities that surround them. This Grants Officer role is available on a permanent contract and full-time basis (35 hours a week). This is a hybrid role, where the foundation would like the postholder to attend the Isle of Dogs office two days a week in East London, with Wednesday being a core office day. The salary banding for this role is £28,000-£32,000 (dependent on level of experience).
 
In this role, you will report to the Head of Grants and Programmes and support the development, management, and promotion of the foundation's grants programmes. You will manage a portfolio of grants, provide guidance to applicants and grantees, assess grant applications, and conduct due diligence to inform funding recommendations.
 
You will monitor funded projects, ensure timely reporting and validate project delivery. You will maintain accurate records on Salesforce. You will support donor engagement, ensure reporting aligns with CSR goals, review end-of-grant reports, and contribute to annual programme reporting. You will help deliver funding workshops and community events. You will assist with developing systems, policies, and communication tools for grant making. You will stay up to date on best practices in grant making and contribute to continuous improvement.
 
To be successful in this role, you will have knowledge or experience of delivering a grants programme or working in a fundraising environment. You will have experience or understanding of working within the voluntary sector and needs of communities in the East-End of London. You will have a strong eye for detail and experience gathering, recording information, and presenting to audiences.
 
You will be a strong communicator, who can develop relationships with people from different backgrounds and lived experiences. You will be able to work on your own initiative and within a small team. You will have excellent IT literacy and administrative skills.
 
Desirably, you will have experience using Salesforce CRM, managing budgets, knowledge of participatory grant making, and public speaking.

The Role

You will provide administrative and operational support across the grants function, including coordinating committee meetings, supporting grants officers, managing assurance visits, and helping to develop reporting systems. This varied role involves close collaboration with colleagues and partners to ensure funding is well managed and impactful.

Key Responsibilities

Are you passionate about generating income for charitable causes? Do you have experience building strong relationships and leading applications to institutional funders?

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Grants & Trusts Manager to join our Income Generation Directorate. You will play a key part in securing vital income to support our work and mission. As the Grants & Trusts Manager, you will lead and inspire a dedicated team to deliver essential funding for the Association.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the identification and development of a portfolio of grants, trusts, and foundations.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with funders to secure long-term partnerships.
• Lead, motivate and manage the Trusts team, including the line management of two Trusts Fundraising Officers, providing ongoing support and team development.
• Deliver high levels of donor stewardship through a proactive approach.
• Oversee the Trusts Team in delivering to develop and deliver persuasive and timely funding applications.
• Collaborate with the Prospect Researcher to identify and champion the development of new funding sources and opportunities.
• Work across the organisation to create compelling propositions that align with funders’ priorities.
• Ensure clarity and alignment with other fundraising teams on donor stewardship and contact strategies.
• Manage reporting, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions of awarded grants.
• Assist with the creation of income and expenditure budgets and provide regular progress reports.
• Champion the use of our CRM system to ensure accurate and accessible donor information.

About You:

• Experience in growing income through grants, trusts, and foundations, with strong bid writing skills.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a high-performing team.
• Strong relationship management and communication skills, including the ability to influence at senior levels.
• Financial expertise including analytical skills with experience in budget management and the ability to develop funding pipelines.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and fundraising software.
• A commitment to the mission and values of the MND Association.
