We are looking for someone who can take a lead in supporting three of the four key functions of infrastructure and includes leadership & advocacy, partnerships & collaborations and capacity building for the sector.  These characterise the role of Thurrock CVS and help to support and strengthen locally based voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations and showcase the strength and worth of the sector.

In addition to the support to the sector, you will manage a fund developed to support the sector, overseeing the administration and governance of the fund, and supporting a wider team in building relationships with businesses to drive the social responsibility agenda.

We are looking for someone with experience of working and developing the VCFSE sector, including organisational structures such as in incorporated charities, CIC’s etc, training, funding advice, policy guidance and general support around funding and grant applications

This is a demanding role and requires someone with tenacity and a real interest in people and social action. Superb communication skills are a must, at all levels, as well as a good understanding of an organisations development and structure.

Our programme supporting Higher Technical Education has big ambitions. Known as the ‘missing middle’ of higher education in England, we want to see the declines in level 4 and 5 technical education reversed and more providers emerge who can offer high-quality education and training to help people access highskilled occupations. Key to this transformation is the role of Institutes of Technology (IoTs) – collaborations between further education colleges, universities and employers – and we have been working closely with the National Network of Institutes of Technology to support their success. We are looking for a Project Officer to play an integral part in the successful delivery of this programme, as well as becoming an advocate for Higher Technical Qualifications more broadly. 

This role sits within the small Higher Education Team at Gatsby, and you will work closely with the Project Manager and Director of Programmes to: develop and deliver a range of projects to support our programme objectives; represent Gatsby at external meetings; organise meetings and events; and develop strong working relationships with key partners.

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver projects to support Gatsby’s Higher Technical Education programme, with clear objectives and planning, delivering outputs on time and within budget.
• Research, create and write compelling communications that support programme objectives.
• Co-ordinate regular meetings and external events, including drafting agendas, writing minutes, liaising with and organising contributions from external stakeholders.
• Work effectively with other Gatsby programme teams to ensure higher technical education is appropriately represented within their areas of focus.
• Commission consultants/researchers to undertake pieces of work that will inform programme direction.

We are looking for two Development Managers to join our Development team focusing on Individual Giving and Trust and Foundation Fundraising.

The Development Manager (Individual Giving) will manage the strategic development of Individual Giving, identifying opportunities to drive growth in this area. The post-holder will oversee the delivery of our Regular Giving programmes and will also manage relationships with high-level donors to identify and securing major gifts.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following essential requirements:

• Drive acquisition, retention and growth of Individual Giving at all levels with a particular view to growing unrestricted income from this stream.
• Develop and deliver inspiring Regular Giving appeals, understanding the key motivations of our supporters and in line with the strategic objectives of the organisation.
• Lead on the delivery of all aspects of the Patron programme, in particular stewardship of Patrons and supporting the Head of Development in a strategic review of the programme.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to grow visitor giving, taking a multi-channel and innovative approach.

The Development Manager (Trust and Foundations) will manage the strategic development of Trusts and Foundations fundraising, identifying opportunities to drive growth in this area. The post-holder will oversee income generation from grant-making organisations and ensure timely reporting to funders.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following essential requirements:

• Drive growth of Trusts and Foundations income especially at the five- and six-figure level, with a particular view to supporting unrestricted income and major projects in the organisation’s pipeline.
• Proactively manage a personal portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, regularly meeting and engaging with prospective funders to pitch proposals and check-in around expectations. 
• Liaise with key internal stakeholders to develop accurate, compelling funding applications in line with deadlines set by funders. 
• Build lasting relationships with funders in order to establish opportunities for multi-year income generation.
• Drive the Trusts and Foundations prospecting process and increase the range of prospects approached for support, utilising prospect research tools and securing introductions from our network.

Key Tasks

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individuals to join our fundraising team as a Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer. In this role, you will play a vital role in researching and applying to grant applications in order to help the team raise as much funding as possible to support people experiencing homelessness across London.

About the role:

As the Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer, you will be responsible for maximising income from Trusts and Foundations in order to support SHP’s charitable activities. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and alongside the fundraising team, you will contribute towards the delivery of achieving SHP's overarching vision of a society where everyone has a place to call home and the chance to live a fulfilling life.

In your role, you will be responsible for building and delivering a successful Trusts and Foundations portfolio by focusing on:

ROLE DETAILS 

Standing Voice is looking for an experienced Fundraising Manager based in or near London to join our UK team. This is an exciting and challenging role in a creative and focused working environment, within an organisation with multiple programmes and funding streams across 3 countries. This position suits an ambitious and experienced fundraiser, equipped with excellent written and oral communication skills and a depth of donor management experience. 

The successful candidate will report to the Executive Director and be tasked with advancing & implementing Standing Voice’s Fundraising Strategy including writing grants proposals; diversifying & scaling-up the organisation’s income streams; and managing donor relations and reporting. As well as working alongside UK fundraising, programmes and finance colleagues, the Fundraising Manager will work directly with our teams in Tanzania and Malawi to design and generate project proposals.

Working with over 70 exhibitors, multiple sponsors and external suppliers to ensure a successful event.
• Young Professional Industry Engagement event programme - To plan, organise and deliver the annual three-week programme of CPD visits for a selected group of participants to industry hosts across the UK. Working with participants and over 20 organisations to schedule and deliver the programme.
• Furniture Making T-Level conference – Working with the Chair of the Education and Training Committee and selected members to plan, organise and implement a one-day conference on the practicalities of overing the Furniture T-Level in an educational setting.
• Organise and attend several regional career fairs and trade shows to promote the education and training initiatives and encourage young people to consider a career in furniture and furnishings.
• Plan and organise the content of an Education and Training slot at the annual Furniture Makers’ HR Conference to highlight key events and programmes.

Grants

• Administer a small annual grants scheme supporting colleges and universities which provide specialist furniture and furnishing education courses.
• Manage a travel bursary scheme to support exhibitors attending the Young Furniture Makers Exhibition.

Website

• Administer the jobs board featured on the My Furniture Career website, screening and approving posted vacancies as well as liaising with those posting jobs to confirm the status of the vacancy, sharing data once the vacancy expires and collecting feedback data from the poster.
• To work with the Digital Officer to agree a schedule of content for the website and its associated social media.
• Work with the Communications Manager and Digital Officer to promote the use of the website by the targeted audience group as well as the HR community to post vacancies to the jobs board.
• Produce a quarterly report detailing the usage and any highlights regarding the website.
• Report any technical issues to the website provider and liaise with them to fix the issue.

Reporting

• Quarterly reporting on activity and budget to the Education and Training Committee.
• Supporting the Committee Chair by setting up Committee meetings and taking minutes.
• Supporting the Committee Chair with any other administration as necessary related to the Committee.

Miscellaneous

Job Title: Trust Fundraising Manager

Contract: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week)

Location: Anywhere in the UK, we are a remote-first organisation

Our mission is to tirelessly support and champion how parents can participate in education and have their voices heard.  We want to be a powerful force for good in education in the UK that strives to bring homes and schools together for the good of all children and society.  We have ambitious plans to increase our impact and are establishing a central fundraising strategy for the first time.  Therefore, we are looking for an experienced trust fundraiser to play a key role in delivering organisational growth. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our fledgling Fundraising Team and develop a trust fundraising programme from the ground up.  We are looking for someone with experience in raising funds from trusts and foundations, who is an excellent communicator - spoken and written – and who can undertake research to effectively identify appropriate prospects.  You will help to develop our case for support and develop a suite of proposals and reports that will convey to funders what Parentkind does, what the parents and schools we work with want, and how we support them.  Attention to detail is key, as is the ability to manage your time and prioritise your work.

You’ll have

• A minimum of two years of experience in trust fundraising
• Demonstrable success in securing four and five-figure gifts
• Experience in managing funder relationships, and developing them into longer-term partnerships
• Strong research skills to help identify suitable prospects whose mission aligns with Parentkind
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent communication skills - strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality written applications, and proposals and deliver impactful presentations

Job deliverables:

• Identify and maximise opportunities to raise unrestricted and restricted funds from small trusts and other funding bodies to ask for grants up to £10,000
• Plan, prepare and write compelling applications for funding
• Build relationships with trusts, foundations and other funding bodies that help Bipolar UK secure long-term funding and support
• Achieve income targets that support Bipolar UK’s strategic service delivery goals
• Keep accurate records on Salesforce CRM
• With the Trusts Manager, develop our ‘thank you’ processes and donor stewardship programmes
• Create reports and updates for donors that bring to life the impact of their support

• Develop excellent working relationships across Bipolar UK
• Develop and maintain your knowledge of the charity sector and fundraising environment, to keep up to date with changes

About the role

As Project Officer you will play a central role in the delivery of INTRAC’s consultancy assignments and grant funded projects. This will involve coordinating short and long term projects, involving staff and consultants through our global network and clients around the world, ensuring effective and quality delivery.
