Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity is hiring for a permanent Senior Fundraising Executive to join our Donor Development team full time.

This is a varied role where you’ll use your skills across project management, marketing and individual giving. 

Salary

The salary for this position is £38,692 per annum and we operate a hybrid working policy of 2 days in the office per week. 
 

In line with our EDI strategy and Total Reward policy, we calculate our salaries based on benchmarking data across the charity sector. To ensure fairness for existing staff and new joiners, we do not offer salaries above the advertised rate.

This role is known internally as Senior Individual Giving Executive (Donor Development).

Key Responsibilities

• Project manage the day-to-day delivery of cash and raffle appeals aimed at recruiting and retaining supporters. 
• Planning campaigns and creating campaign briefs. 
• Managing agency relationships.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Previous experience in a fundraising role, with focus on supporter retention and acquisition. 
• Experience managing and collaborating with agency partners. 
• Campaign management experience.

• Experience working on multi-channel fundraising campaigns.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH) are hiring for two Senior Fundraising Researchers to join the team. One position is permanent and the other is a 12 month FTC. 

As Senior Fundraising Researcher, you’ll deliver strategically aligned research to identify new high-value prospects, senior volunteer opportunities and work on due diligence.

Salary

Key Responsibilities

• Producing high-quality research profiles, insights and tailored briefings for our Philanthropy, Corporate Partnerships and Special Events fundraising teams.
• Leading and delivering robust due diligence casework on high-value supporters and senior volunteers, communicating findings clearly and professionally to inform decision-making around risk, reputation and compliance.
• Conducting market insight, sector analysis and horizon scanning to help shape strategy for high-value and global fundraising activity.
• Ensuring high standards of data management, governance and regulatory compliance, and supporting fundraising colleagues to maintain best practice in data handling and prospect management.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Exceptional analytical, critical thinking and research skills.
• Significant experience in a prospect or fundraising research role within the not-for-profit sector or in a directly comparable environment with highly transferable skills (e.g. corporate intelligence, financial services, consultancy, journalism or risk analysis).
• Demonstrable experience delivering structured due diligence casework, ideally within a complex or international context.
• Experience operating in, or supporting, fundraising or stakeholder engagement within a global environment, including researching international individuals, corporates and philanthropic markets.
• Proficiency with a wide range of research, risk, compliance and business intelligence tools.
• The ability to build strong internal relationships and work collaboratively with senior stakeholders.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-regarded and innovative project contributing to achieving positive outcomes for some of the most vulnerable families in England and beyond whose sick children are being treated at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital (GOSH) We also provide an ‘open door’ service to our GOSH partners such as social workers and family support officers in our areas of expertise.

You will be expected to deliver high quality holistic advice and in-depth casework to families with children who are patients at GOSH across all Citizens Advice issue areas and this will include complex housing issues and with benefits cases up to appeal level.

What you will bring to the role

• Relevant experience of client-centred advice work with competency in welfare benefits and housing casework.
• Experience of researching complex advice issues including those outside of your advice experience
• Meet the accreditation requirements to the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) quality framework to advice and casework levels. Documentary evidence of accreditation will be required.

Being available onsite is an important aspect of this role and so this role is hybrid working.The exact split between remote/onsite working will be by agreement with the line manager and to meet the needs of the project which could change over time. This role is not suitable for remote working only.
