About the Role
We’re seeking a passionate, skilled, and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Peer Support Lead. This role focuses on supporting people from a range of culturally diverse backgrounds across West Yorkshire, including but not limited to South Asian communities.
You’ll lead and expand a network of peer volunteers who work within local communities to promote hepatitis awareness, reduce stigma, and improve access to testing, treatment, and care. You’ll collaborate closely with Leeds Teaching Hospitals and The Hepatitis C Trust’s national and regional teams to ensure culturally sensitive, community-led engagement.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support peer volunteers across diverse communities in West Yorkshire

The EMHIP (Ethnicity and Mental Health Improvement Programme) Mobile Hub Support Worker has been co-designed with individuals with lived experience of mental health care to provide direct, person-centred support to individuals in their local communities.
The Croydon BME Forum and Asian Resource Centre Croydon, in partnership with South West London Integrated Care System (SWL ICS) and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) are working together to address the ethnic inequalities in health and social care through the Ethnicity and Mental Health Improvement Programme (EMHIP). One of the key interventions of EMHIP is the implementation of the Mental Health & Wellbeing Mobile Hub. This is a mobile, all age, whole family hub service, delivered within both faiths based and community-based organisations.
The Mental Health & Wellbeing Mobile Hub team will be a dedicated team of experienced, culturally aware support workers and clinical staff embedded in the community to provide services to all local residents, but with a specific focus on BAME communities. This team will be based in different locations across the borough, working within BAME communities, alongside faith groups and existing wellbeing hubs in Croydon.
Job Summary
The Mobile Hub Team Support Worker is a skilled, knowledgeable, and empathetic person, who enjoys working with people, taking a person-centred approach. They must be flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in an active setting, with people and professionals across the health and social care system. They will be practical, resilient, well organised and have excellent communication skills.
As a Hub Support Worker, you will be responsible for working with the team, providing advice and practical help for local residents in need of mental health support or general well being/social support. You will work as part of a wider hub team, rotating between different community locations, providing one-to-one support, and making referrals to the team psychologist and secondary care services, as well as helping people to access other agencies and services, such as benefits, housing, debt services. You will work with the mobile hub team to offer wellbeing activities, including workshops as well working with primary care and collaborating with community services.
You will work in a variety of settings, including:

- Community settings
- Colleges
Main responsibilities
- Working closely with CBME Forum Mobile Hub Team Manager
- Support new referrals and offer a person-centred, wellbeing assessment that identifies their wellbeing difficulties and develops a plan to support positive mental and general wellbeing.
- Ensure that staff resources are coordinated to provide cover being aware of the team’s work/life balance.
- Deliver one-to-one support to hub users and manage a caseload of individuals as agreed with the Hub Team Manager.
- Provide advice and information relating to Welfare Benefits, including Universal Credit and work with service users to assist them with claims, online assessments, including Work Capability Assessments, applications, form-filling and contacting agencies such as the Department of Work and Pensions and London Borough of Croydon Welfare Rights and Housing teams.
- Provide basic housing advice.
- Provide general money and debt management advice.
- Provide information on employment opportunities and training support for clients.
- Support colleagues within the Mental Health & Wellbeing Mobile Hub, with enquiries which relate to your specialist knowledge and experience e.g., in Universal Credit, Housing, Money or Debt Management, access to training, education or employment.
- Support access to, and the delivery of, a variety of peer and social support groups, workshops and activities available.
- Work as part of the wider hub support team, co-delivering workshops, liaising with colleagues, and arranging referrals where necessary to hub team psychologist.
- Facilitate direct referrals to secondary care services and community services.
- Work from a strength-based approach, focusing on the person themselves and providing non-judgemental support, respecting diversity and their lifestyle choices.
- Attend training, forums, and meetings to ensure knowledge remains relevant and up to date.
- Keep up to date about current best practice and legislation within mental health, as well as within the field of Information & Advice more generally.
- Provide updates and feedback to the EMHIP Mobile Hub teams.
- Maintain accurate and up to date service user records using online database systems.
- Preparing and giving talks on the work of the service to other organisations e.g., Social Services, Mental Health Resource Centres.
- Work within all policies and procedures of the Partnership, ensuring that information remains confidential and to adhere to the General Data Protection Regulations 2018 (GDPR)

Rising Sun Domestic Violence and Abuse Service (Rising Sun) is an independent charity in Kent working to prevent domestic abuse and improve the lives of survivors and their children suffering from its effects. We have an ambitious vision for a world in which women and children live free from actual or threatened domestic abuse and all forms of violence.
Our team provide a range of services to adults and children who’ve experienced domestic abuse. We understand the impact of domestic abuse on survivors, so we listen to individual needs and respond in a trauma informed way. We provide one-to-one support and also deliver therapeutically informed group programmes to help survivors to recognise healthy/unhealthy behaviours in relationships and to understand the impact of domestic abuse. Bringing survivors together validates experiences and enables them to draw strength from one another.
JOB PURPOSE
As one of our High Support Needs IDVAs you will be part of our experienced and dedicated adult team reporting to the HSN IDVA Manager covering the Ashford District area, and your role will include a mixture of remote and office working. You’ll be providing a high-quality, frontline service to survivors of domestic abuse and play a crucial role in advocacy, risk assessment, safety planning and empowerment for our clients with more complex needs. You will assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse which are impacting their situation, and help them to regain control of their lives. You will support them to make informed and safe choices and to move forward.
Alongside working with survivors, you will develop and maintain productive relationships with partner organisations to strengthen multi-agency working and improve service outcomes for survivors.
We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for supporting people who is confident, resilient and has the ability to build strong relationships.
You will have experience of delivering domestic abuse interventions with survivors, including some whose individual circumstances are more complex. This might include clients with issues such as homelessness, poor mental health or drugs and alcohol use.
The nature of this work and being exposed to survivors’ trauma and challenges can have a negative impact on our own wellbeing as support workers, and therefore good self-awareness and the ability to recognise our own needs and put in place appropriate boundaries is essential. All team members are expected to exercise self-care and attend regular clinical supervision to mitigate the potential impact of vicarious trauma.

Beacon, now in its second decade of operation, has experienced substantial growth over the last three years, including an organisational rebrand and expansion into international projects. We are now recruiting a Senior Patient and Scientific Engagement Officer to play a central role in delivering ambitious projects that put patients at the heart of translational research.
This role sits at the crossroads of patient involvement and scientific communication, building meaningful collaborations between patients, researchers, and other stakeholders. You’ll provide essential operational support and subject expertise to ensure projects run smoothly and reflect the real-world needs of the rare disease community.
You will contribute primarily to two of Beacon’s major collaborative initiatives: REMEDi4ALL, a European-wide drug repurposing platform with over 25 partner organisations, and the LifeArc Translational Research Centres for Rare Disease (LifeArc TrC4RD), a UK-wide partnership. In this role, you will work directly and regularly with partners across these consortia, encompassing patient group leaders, patient representatives, academic researchers, clinical trialists, and beyond. You will act as a vital interface between patients and researchers in both projects, coordinating activities, facilitating collaboration, and embedding patient perspectives throughout the work. Main Purpose of the Role
Khulisa, meaning 'nurture' in the Zulu language of South Africa, is an award-winning charity dedicated to providing therapeutic support to young people. We focus on reaching those who are most at risk – young people from deprived communities who are often marginalized, vulnerable to exclusion, and at heightened risk of becoming involved in crime. Our approach centres on safe, exploratory methods that aim to understand behaviour and experiences often rooted in trauma, abuse, and neglect. We deliver intensive therapeutic programs within educational and community settings, empowering young people to confront the underlying causes of their emotional distress and work toward healing. To create lasting, sustainable change, we work to establish trauma-informed environments around young people by equipping parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals with the tools they need to offer effective, supportive care. As the post holder you will be responsible for delivering our front-line work to young people, parents and other adults (professionals). You will work in schools and in community settings across London to generate impact for young people using Khulisa’s trauma-informed approach. This role requires an enhanced DBS check.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Programme Delivery:
· Facilitate the delivery of sessions in our flagship Face It programme and modular workshops to young people, our Nurturing Connections programme for parents and carers, and our trauma training for professionals.

· Facilitate various youth participation workshops, co-delivering with young people as much as practicable.
