This multifaceted role requires a blend of strategic planning, community engagement, technological proficiency, and environmental stewardship. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders from both withing SHP and externally to develop and implement sustainable solutions that bridge the digital divide and minimize the environmental impact of electronic waste.
About you:

- Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage with diverse audiences and communicate complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
- Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities to identify barriers, develop innovative solutions, and address complex challenges related to digital exclusion and e-waste management.
- Willingness to embrace change, navigate ambiguity, and adapt strategies in response to evolving priorities, emerging trends, and feedback from stakeholders and community members.
- Confidence to promote the benefits of the digital world and to challenge traditional silos and system barriers, as well as the ability to use different approaches and methods of communication with different stakeholder in order to achieve this
- The willingness and ability to provide flexible support, including support in the community and a variety of settings
- Proven ability to cultivate and maintain productive partnerships with different agencies, non-profit organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders to leverage resources

About Us
Save the Children UK believes every child deserves a future. In the UK and around the world, we work every day to give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. When crisis strikes, and children are most vulnerable, we are always among the first to respond and the last to leave. We ensure children's unique needs are met and their voices are heard. We deliver lasting change for millions of children, including those hardest to reach.
About you
As our Head of Partnership Management, you will lead a dynamic team responsible for managing our existing partnerships, driving sustainable income growth, and amplifying our impact. Your strategic direction will be instrumental in maximising the value of each partnership, securing vital resources, and ultimately delivering greater impact for children worldwide.
In this role, you will be accountable for:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide vision and direction to the Partnership Management team, ensuring we remain leaders in impactful partnerships with the private sector.
- Team Leadership: Lead and support a team of Partnership Managers, fostering growth and maximising the holistic value of partnerships.
- External Engagement: Represent Save the Children UK externally, driving our profile and networks with key organisations and stakeholders.
- Internal Collaboration: Collaborate across departments to maximize the value of Save the Children in our partnerships and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
- Operational Delivery: Oversee budget management, resource allocation, and strategic planning to achieve partnership objectives effectively.
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Proven track record of leading seven-figure partnerships with global businesses.
- Experience influencing and delivering results cross-organisationally in a large complex organisation.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills at senior levels.
- Experience in team leadership and strategy development.
- Excellent written and presentation skills, including the ability to engage at CEO level.

What we offer you:
- Working for a charity provides one of the best benefits there is – a sense of purpose and reward for helping others. However, we understand the importance of giving back to our employees to ensure a happy and healthy working environment and work/life balance.
- To have the best (and happiest) employees we focus on flexibility, inclusion, collaboration, health, and wellbeing both in and outside of work.
- We provide a wide range of benefits which will reward your hard work, motivate you, and inspire you to work to improve the lives of children every day.
Closing date: 19th May 2024
Please note: To avoid disappointment, you are advised to submit your application as soon as possible as we reserve the right to close the vacancy early if a high volume of applications are received. This is to ensure that we can manage application levels whilst maintaining a positive candidate experience. Unfortunately, once a vacancy has closed, we are unable to consider further applications.
Ways of Working:
The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter). This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team and is intended to be time spent on collaborating with colleagues and relationship building.
Please note: travel costs to your contracted office will be at your own expense.
Flexible Working - We are happy to discuss flexible working options at interview.
Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:
Save the Children UK believes in a world that is fair, inclusive and equitable where all children have the opportunity to change their world. We apply this to our workforce and we are committed to developing and supporting a diverse, equitable, and inclusive organisation where all employees have a sense of belonging and feel that they can be "Free to Be Me". We are not looking for just one type of person - we want to recruit people who can add fresh perspectives, innovative ideas or challenge that disrupts the risk of group think.
We are especially interested in people whose childhood experiences - of life on a low income, of migration, of being in a racialised community, of the care system, of being LGBT+ or in an LGBT+ family or living with (or with someone with) a disability - help us to see things we might otherwise miss. Whatever your story is we want to hear it because we know that different voices, ideas, perspectives and knowledge, working together will enable us to better the lives of children around the world. This is the reason why we are all here.
Last year we saw a 133% growth in the numbers of young people facing homelessness coming through our doors. Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. Alongside this you will need a keen eye for operational detail, have experience of delivering homelessness services, and be passionate about piloting new solutions to prevent homelessness among young people. More than anything you will need to champion what young people can achieve, be committed to collaborating with others and determined to find a way.
