Community Engagement Coordinator – North Region, England
Location: This post is home-based, working within BookTrust’s Northern England region, which covers the North West, North East, and Yorkshire & the Humber. The role requires flexibility and travel across the region and to other BookTrust offices in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you will work within the regional partnerships team. You will manage a caseload of community work to support programme delivery, partnership network development and bespoke learning and development with the BookTrust partner network. You will create excellent links into communities and develop relationships with stakeholders in order to support BookTrust delivery and development, and place-based, community-led initiatives.
We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic, credible ambassador with a demonstrable ability to make connections across a wide range of people and groups in order to deliver ambitious projects. You will have great communications skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of audiences, in writing and in person. You may have worked within or across a local authority provider or network, in outreach or in a project within a local community or the third sector. You may have experience working with children and families experiencing deprivation, or in children’s reading. You will be highly motivated with the ability to work unsupervised across multiple projects in disparate locations simultaneously, and to work at pace, often to tight deadlines.
Friendship, an NGO based in Bangladesh, is a social purpose organisation of over 8,000 people, giving direct services to more than 7.5 million of the poorest people annually. It has delivered over 24 million healthcare services and 8.3 million days’ worth of emergency food support, and gives over 80,000 people daily access to safe drinking water in coastal areas. Friendship was recently awarded the prestigious 2025 Earthshot Prize, founded by HRH Prince William, in the “Fix Our Climate” category.
Friendship International UK was established as a CIO in 2020, having previously been active as a Trust since 2010. Its objectives include the prevention and relief of poverty, the advancement of education as well as the prevention and relief of sickness and the advancement and preservation of health.
Job overview
Remuneration: day rate £250-350 for 8 hours depending on experience, anticipated 4-5 days per month.
Reporting to: Chair of Trustees, on a day-to-day basis through the Head of Partnership Development who is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Contract: The initial contract is for 6 months with potential extension up to 2 years on meeting key fundraising targets.

Role description
The Fundraising/Partnership Development Officer will
· Manage the development and implementation of Friendship’s fundraising, partnership development, and partnership management activities in the UK
· Build a fundraising strategy that incorporates a range of activities and income streams, together with the Friendship International UK Board
· Develop a concrete action plan and core indicators or targets for fundraising in the UK on quarterly basis, which is to be presented to the Friendship International UK Board.
· Foster relationships with supporters, groups and organisations that fund or have the potential to fund Friendship International UK and be the first point of contact,
· Update the UK section of Friendship’s website with information related to fundraising and other information
· Manage social media platforms with information relating to fundraising activity
· Contribute to the work of the Friendship International UK Board, reporting to the Board and attending meetings as needed
· Maintain coordination with Friendship in Bangladesh for the development and finalization of documents, budgets, reports, etc. for submitting to existing and potential donors and partners.

The e-Assessment Association (eAA) is a not-for-profit membership organisation based in the UK that brings together everyone with an interest in digital assessment. Key Responsibilities
Special Interest Group (SIG) Support:
- Manage the administration and coordination of the eAA’s Special Interest Groups.
- Support and prompt volunteer leads to ensure each SIG remains active and productive.
- Coordinate and schedule SIG meetings and online events, including setting up Cvent/ Zoom/Teams sessions and distributing materials.
- Assist with follow-up actions such as publishing content, circulating recordings, and gathering member feedback.
- Monitor engagement levels and prepare summary reports for the Operations Manager and Board.
Event Support (Online and In-person):
- Assist in the setup, promotion, and delivery of online events, including webinars, panel discussions, and SIG sessions.
- Manage speaker liaison, registration processes, and event logistics.
- Support the delivery of major eAA events including the International Conference (2026) and the International Awards Gala Dinner, including administrative coordination and event materials.
- Ensure a positive participant experience by handling communications and post-event follow-up.
Membership and Communications:
- Respond to member and volunteer enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Support the creation and distribution of newsletters, announcements, and updates about SIG and event activity.

Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- At least 2 years’ experience in an administrative support role.
- Experience managing events (especially online events such as webinars or small conferences).

About the Role
As Retail Area Manager, you'll be responsible for leading and supporting a portfolio of charity shops across your region. Our team
We're looking for a compassionate, self-starting individual who is tenacious, goal-oriented, and target-driven with a make it happen mentality, because they know the impact growing this movement will have on thousands of people's lives.
This role is part of the Partnership Development Team within the Mission & Movement Directorate. Reporting to the Head of Movement Development, you will be responsible for initiating and engaging with senior church leaders and wider networks to partner with CAP, primarily through our life-changing Debt Centre service.
As a Partnership Development Manager, you'll be a key driver of our mission. We're looking for a self-motivated, results-oriented, problem solving individual who can build and nurture relationships across diverse church networks and denominations.
You will be responsible for generating new partnership opportunities, inspiring church leaders and wider networks to engage with CAP's vision and partner with us. You'll need to be an entrepreneurial self-starter with a proven ability to build a robust pipeline and deliver on growth targets, specifically around Debt Centre growth motivated by our desire to help more people out of debt and poverty and see them become followers of Jesus.
Partnership Development Manager Scope
- The team is split between full time and part time PDMs.
- Significant amount of travel with large regions to cover.
- This role has no direct reports.
- In line with our expenses policy, all expenses (e.g. mileage costs) are claimed retrospectively via our CAP Expenses system.
Role:
Accountabilities:
- Responsible for expanding CAP's partnership network across your region alongside the Regional Director and Head of Movement Development, strategically prioritizing and developing relationships with church leaders and networks to establish new partnerships and services. You'll achieve this by collaborating with other teams, proactively networking with Christian organizations and denominational leaders (where appropriate), and representing CAP at various events, all with the goal of growing our influence and opening new services in every community.
- Proactive management of contacts as they progress through the pipeline, working alongside churches to identify if a CAP service supports their church vision, and if appropriate, manage them through the church journey and experience to open a new CAP service.
- To open new Debt Centre Partnerships as laid out in regional Development plans in target areas of deprivation and communities across the region.
- To open resilience services (Job Clubs, Life skills & Money Coaching) with new and existing church partnerships.
- Alongside Regional Director to identify key areas from across the region to host and organize a targeted number of CAP Spotlight Events per term. These events are designed to gather church leaders around a table to have conversations around opening a multi Church Debt Centre.
- To proactively build, manage and progress a self generated caseload of churches within your region, through cold calling, face to face meetings and all other appropriate forms of communication. This will include frequent travel across the region to meet with appropriate churches/ leaders.
- Refer potential new Debt Coaches or Churches that might want to work with an existing or expanding Church Partnership to the relevant Area Partnership Managers who are responsible for existing centre growth and sustainability.
- To work with Regional Leaders and Area Partnership Managers to deepen local knowledge and connections in order to deliver new church partnership opportunities.
- To collaborate across departments where needed to support and engage with Church Events, Talks, Conferences, Festivals, Church Leaders Meetings and other relevant events within your region, working on exhibition stands (when necessary) to help generate enquiries.
- To work with local church teams to ensure appropriate candidates are identified and have a full understanding of the role and responsibilities involved, ensuring CAP¿s selection team receive the appropriate information in a timely manner.
- To advocate and make introductions where appropriate for Church talks, CCT and fundraising opportunities.
- Where appropriate, to represent Partnership Development in additional projects which improve the delivery and content of CAP's products and services.

Role Purpose
This is a key role to oversee RDA UK’s approach to safeguarding, supporting senior management and working with external partners. This is crucial to maintain good practice, resources, quality and support to RDA Groups which includes driving RDA safeguarding training.

- Strong experience in policy development, campaigning or public affairs — ideally within social, health or economic policy.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Contract: 35 hours per week, permanent role
Based: Homebased (with the ability to attend meetings in Marie Curie’s office in London at least once a month).
