A bit about this role:

As a charity we can help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations from our supporters. Raising funds is a key role in our charity, helping to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need.

As a fundraising volunteer, we will support you every step of the way to ensure your time at Cats Protection is a positive and rewarding one. Whatever time you can give really does make a big difference We have lots of exciting activities to choose from for example attending a fundraising event, fundraising online, promoting fundraising activities on social media, handling administrative tasks, or contributing to the development of new fundraising ideas. Sustainability Research Volunteer
People & Planet is looking for volunteers to assist with compiling its 2025/26 People & Planet
University League; the only higher education ranking that classifies based on ethics and climate
justice criteria.
Universities impart skills and knowledge, form life-long beliefs and behaviours, act as centres of
communities, employ, house and feed large numbers of people and promote the creation and
sharing of knowledge. We believe this makes them uniquely placed to lead on environmental and
ethical issues. For this reason the People & Planet University League has been running since 2007
and has been published by high-profile media partners such as The Guardian (2021, 2022. 2023,
2024) and whose data is used in the Sunday Time Good University Guide.
Volunteers will research publicly available university documents and assess universities against
our marking criteria, which cover a wide range of climate and social justice issues including
decarbonisation, fossil fuel divestment, ethical banking, workers’ rights and environmental
management among others. This work will help to incentivise the university sector towards taking
immediate and appropriate action on the climate crisis and upholding the rights and wellbeing of all
people internationally.

The role will develop and improve the following areas:

We are looking to recruit a Fundraising Volunteer for the Sheffield and Rotherham Group. As our Fundraising Volunteer you’ll support your Group Coordinator to organise local fundraising activities and events throughout the year.

In this role you’ll be able to develop your organisation, communication and team working skills.Most importantly you’ll inspire your local community to raise funds that help make sure no one has to face MS alone.

Time Commitment

We estimate this role will need around 2 hours a week. Our roles are flexible and aim to fit around you. Time commitments for this role may vary depending on your activities. This is an ongoing role.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a large charity and develop your existing skills and learn new ones. We need you to get involved and help make positive changes to the lives of people affected by MS.

You will understand the needs of people affected by MS in your area and be sympathetic to the needs and motivations of volunteers. You’ll be confident using Microsoft Office, the internet and email. Ideally you’ll understand the local area and organisations that provide local services.

Across the UK, our 270 local groups play a vital part in supporting people affected by MS. They provide sense of belonging, unity and friendship. And they deliver services and support for their local MS community.

We are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Volunteer for the Barnsley and District Group. As a Health and Safety Volunteer you’ll make sure all local group members are aware of their health and safety responsibilities. You’ll help them understand and follow guidelines and procedures to coordinate safe activities.

In this role you’ll gain knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, as well as develop your organisation, admin and communication skills. Most importantly you’ll help your local group make sure all their activities are safe for every member of your local MS community.

Trustees
Term: Trustees will be appointed for a four year term and can serve consecutive terms.
Remuneration: Currently, the role of Trustee is not accompanied by any financial remuneration, although reasonable expenses may be claimed.
Attendance: We expect Trustees to be able to attend all board meetings, our annual strategic away day and engage with Agenda Alliance in other ways. Board meetings are typically held online, with one meeting held in person per year. There is often the option to join a board meeting from the Agenda office (London E2) if preferred.

About the role:

• To play an active role in the Agenda Alliance Board to ensure the organisation delivers on its mission and vision and is effectively governed.
• We want Trustees to join us in being member-led, women and girls-led and anti-oppressive.
• Our Trustees help shape the strategic direction of Agenda Alliance and provide leadership to ensure that we have the maximum impact for women and girls.
• We are looking for up to 3 Trustees to join our Board who match our ambition and are excited to support Agenda Alliance, as we solidify our position within the sector and grow our reach.

Responsibilities include:

• Help shape the strategic direction and provide leadership to Agenda ensuring that we have maximum impact for women and girls
• Fulfil all legal duties and responsibilities of a trustee and ensure sound governance and financial health of Agenda
• Ensure that Agenda operates within its charitable objectives and that decisions taken are in the best interests of women and girls at risk
• Establish and build a strong, effective, open and supportive relationship with the Chief Executive and other staff
• Act as an ambassador for the charity
• Support funding approaches to gain additional funds

About you:

We are seeking Trustees with skills and experience in the following areas, which we have identified as gaps on our Board:

• Income generation and fundraising, particularly for corporates and trusts and foundations
• Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
• Impact measurement
• Finance
• HR
• We are also interested in hearing from individuals with experience in education, particularly school exclusions as this is a key area of our work.

Centring lived experience is important for everything Agenda does, and we are proud to have women with Lived Experience of the areas we work in our board. If you have Lived Experience of any of the areas agenda works on, we would particularly welcome your application.
