About the Role
As the Supporter Engagement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our engagement strategies to cultivate relationships with our valued Christian* supporters. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will lead initiatives to increase prayer, giving, and church engagement, aligning with our broader objectives. You will manage our Supporter Engagement Co-ordinator, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of our supporter-centric initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive supporter engagement strategy to bolster our supporter base and enhance engagement levels.
- Curate a tailored stewardship journey for major donors and legacy pledges, providing personalised communications and resources to foster continued support.
- Oversee the management of our supporter database/CRM, ensuring compliance with GDPR and all relevant legislation.
- Utilise data analytics to design targeted campaigns and initiatives aimed at expanding our supporter network across various channels and touchpoints.
- Lead church engagement efforts, forging and nurturing connections with local and national churches and networks.
- Collaborate with our Activities and Community Engagement (ACE) Facilitators to enhance engagement within our care homes and housing schemes.
- Drive regular prayer communications, fostering a culture of prayer support through various platforms including our online Prayer Wall.
- Organise and lead supporter-facing events such as exhibitions and conferences to facilitate meaningful interactions with existing and prospective supporters.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and share insights with internal teams to inform strategic decision-making.
About You
- Minimum of three years of experience in the charity or third sector.
- Proven track record in supporter engagement and database management.
- Good understanding of UK GDPR regulations.
- Familiarity with fundraising functions and project management.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication.
- Innovative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Team player with a reliable and detail-oriented work ethic.

We're looking for an experienced, compassionate and resilient Service Manager to join our Vine Court Road service in Sevenoaks, Kent.

Service Managers are responsible for the effective management of all contracts within their designated patch, including line managing the relevant front-line staff. Leadership and competence development in direct reports is a key responsibility of the role. Post-holders may also carry client group specialism responsibilities, linking in with other Managers and Head of Operations to ensure focused integration of specialisms across the whole organisation. The ideal candidate will have management experience and be based in commuting distance to Sevenoaks, Kent. There is an expectation to be in service for this role.

What you'll do:
Drive business planning activities within your contract, ensuring relevant and challenging objective setting and ongoing performance tracking, developing turn around action plans as may be necessary
This role will also hold an accountability for staff tracker updates/management for the patch and income management for wider contracts. HR investigations for other contracts also form part of the wider role
Using sound financial and accounting principles, manage contract budgets to deliver on corporate and local contract financial targets
Successfully lead and motivate your team to ensure the championing of and maintenance of a positive local culture within your service
Work to continuously improve staff competence, ensure ownership of all staff issues and speedy and effective conflict resolution
Responsible for reporting all staff changes to HR and Payroll departments, as appropriate e.g. starters, leavers, additional hours etc.
Responsible for maintaining quarterly staff succession plans
Deliver effective, professional and commercially focused briefings and supervision meetings with staff and ensure that information, reporting & communications flow up/down is effective
Responsible for managing and allocating customers to support staff (casework management)

New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. The Services Manager (Day Centre) is a brand new role for the organisation. They will work as part of the existing Youth Work Team to provide vital additional capacity and expertise to respond to the significantly increased demand we have been experiencing. This role is primarily focused on delivering our frontline day centre service each week. You will spend around 2-3 days per week frontline as our Duty Manager ensuring the smooth running of the day centre. You’ll also be responsible for coordinating our weekly rota, line managing the team, overseeing our Locums, Students and Volunteers programme, supporting with donations and day centre stock, and delivering staff training . You should be passionate about supporting young people who are unsafe or facing homelessness, be able to motivate a multi-disciplinary team of staff and have the energy to problem solve in a fast-paced environment on a daily basis.

The commission will run from June 2024 for three years. As part of this, an additional service will be set up within the NHYC Youth Justice team specifically to deliver on the Alliance contract. You should have experience of working in services that support young people fleeing violence or who are impacted by the criminal justice system, and have a solid understanding of housing options for young people under 25. Aside from the 50+ young people we see every day at our day centre, New Horizon’s Outreach service also works with young people on the streets and in the community. The team works pan London to deliver a unique, youth-specific outreach service to young people currently or at risk of rough sleeping. We use our extensive housing expertise to place those young people into accommodation that is appropriate and safe whilst encouraging them to access the day centre to benefit from the wide range of services we offer. The Outreach Worker will work as part of Rough Sleeping Team to deliver at least two street outreach shifts per week and transitional casework to young people facing rough sleeping. You will need to be willing to work early mornings and late evenings, to travel across London to identify young people who need our support, and to work flexibly to respond to evolving needs. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity and a keen eye for detail. This is an exciting time to join the team as we look to refine our offer and pilot new solutions to rough sleeping.
