About the Role

Working as part of a dedicated and committed in-house HR Team you will support the full employee lifecycle and;

• Advise managers and staff on all ER issues and lead on case management including Absence, Flexible Working, Probation, Capability
• Confidently and proactively review, update and develop policies to support the People Plan in line with legislation and best practice
• Provide support to the Employee Relations Manager, including maintaining databases, preparing letter templates, attending meetings, taking minutes, filing, policy research and updates
• Prepare and analyse data for regular HR reports
• Support wider HR initiatives as required

To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate experience of working in a HR team and have;

• Casework experience within Employee Relations and knowledge of employment law and best practice
• Experience in delivering an HR service within a busy working environment
• Confidence in delivering advice to all levels of staff and challenge constructively where necessary
• A passion for reducing absence and promoting health and wellbeing
• A high level of organisational skills with the ability to understand detailed information
• A CIPD qualification or part qualified or equivalent experience

Gaddum is looking for a qualified PWP to join our well-established Talking Therapies team operating in Manchester and expand our offer for clients. You will work alongside a team of dedicated counsellors within a stepped care model to provide initial assessments and a range of NICE approved low intensity interventions for common mental health problems, including one-to-one work and the potential for groupwork.

You will be skilled in delivering low intensity therapy, with the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload, and will have successfully completed an approved IAPT PWP Post Graduate Certificate (or be near to qualification with all elements of the course successfully passed/on track to qualify on time).

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, unlike NHS emergency services, is a charity. This free life-saving service is provided 24/7 by helicopters and rapid response vehicles.

Each critical care team consists of a pilot and co-pilot, a pre-hospital care doctor and a critical care paramedic.

They can be rushed to the scene with life-saving support equipment to deliver advanced clinical care, usually only in the hospital emergency department.

Once stabilised, the patient will be conveyed to the most appropriate hospital by air or land.

YMCA DownsLink Group’s WiSE (What is Sexual Exploitation) Project is an innovative, award winning project working across East Sussex, Brighton & Hove and Surrey, with children and young people experiencing or at risk of sexual exploitation; as well as raising awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation and other forms of Child Criminal Exploitation.

We are looking for someone with the confidence to develop a new support offer for Surrey. This new post offers the opportunity to work in the WiSE team in Surrey in an exciting new role which has two strands to it; providing targeted early intervention peer group sessions to young people (up to 25 years,) who have been identified by their educational placement as being vulnerable too sexual or criminal exploitation. The role also entails working alongside Education and other agencies to prevent Violence Against Women and Girls by creating and facilitating training to teachers of the PSHE curriculum in both Primary and Secondary schools in Surrey. The successful applicant will be supported in the role through Reflective Supervision Practice, along with regular one-to-ones. 

This role will be based out of a Police Station in Surrey, which can be discussed at interview. There will be frequent travel and it is essential you hold a current driving license and have access to your own car.

Main purpose of job: To work in the Navigator team supporting individuals who have or are experiencing sexual violence and or sexual abuse. Salary:£24,496 - £26,845 per annum.

Contract: This contract is until 31st March 2026, with the potential to extend if funding is continued.

Job Description

The First Contact Navigators play a central role in the CARA team, ensuring that our service users and other agencies receive a high-quality service from the moment of first contact. You will work as part of a wider team of First Contact Navigators across Esse and the post liaises with clients, the CARA team and external agencies, providing advice, support and information.

The First Contact Navigator will engage with individuals who are experiencing, or who have experienced, sexual violence and or sexual abuse who require information, signposting and short-term support.  You will be the first contact and conduct first meetings, managing your own caseload and co-ordinating personalised support for individuals on their pathway to wellbeing. You will have strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to work under minimal supervision. You will support people who use CARA services to make informed decisions about their wellbeing, maximising their independence and engaging in appropriate community or clinical resources. You will work collaboratively with service users, the CARA team and other professional agencies to navigate and coordinate services.  

The main responsibilities of the post are:

· To act as a first point of contact for new referrals and enquiries, providing information, emotional support, advice and signposting.

· To complete first contact calls and assessments with clients over the telephone.

· To ensure information about new referrals/enquiries is accurately recorded on CARA’s database in real time.

· To work collaboratively and build trust with service users, agencies, personal and professional support networks to collate relevant information to effect individualised support requirements.

· To assess and engage service users not currently engaged in appropriate specialist sexual violence services.

· To seek and respond to referrals from a variety of internal and external sources.

· To assist survivors and relatives/supporters of survivors in understanding the range of resources and services available to them.

· To support service users to engage effectively with appropriate services to meet their individual needs and aspirations.

· To work as a link between clients, CARA staff and external agencies, ensuring appropriate information is passed on.

· To work closely with the Essex-wide team of First Contact Navigators and Information and Referral Coordinators to ensure effective referral processes across Essex.

· To act as a point of contact for external agencies making referrals to CARA, answering queries about our referral process.

· To cover the enquiry line and the office phone and deal with enquiries as required.

· To pro-actively promote CARA’s services to external agencies, ensuring they are aware of our referral procedures.

· To contribute to development of promotional information, to ensure information about the referral process is clear and accessible.

· To attend regular team meetings and to work with colleagues to further the objectives of CARA.

Director of Income Generation

37 hours per week

Salary £70k to £75k per annum WTE based on 37 hours a week

An opportunity has arisen to join Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice as our new Director of Income Generation.  Reporting to the Chief Executive you will lead a dynamic and committed team to achieve ambitious income generation targets.  You will sustain and further develop a balanced, and diverse income generation portfolio, focusing on maximising income and growing enduring relationships with supporters and customers across our region.

This is an exciting time to join Phyllis Tuckwell with the successful candidate having the opportunity to plan and implement the final stage of our £6 million appeal to build a new hospice.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a member of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to generate income and raise awareness of the Hospice mission and services.
• Provide direction, expertise, guidance, vision and leadership to all teams on income generation activities in a way that enables the teams to own the delivery of the IG strategy and plans.

About this key role

Our successful candidate will work collaboratively with senior management to contribute to the implementation of the new income generation strategy – focusing specifically on retention and developing our unrestricted voluntary income from a range of funding streams.  You will diversify and improve the ways in which we generate unrestricted income from individual giving through proactive, innovative ideas, plus develop and design high-quality appeals, presentations and pitches to garner wider national support and brand awareness for St Giles.

We will rely on you to provide excellent stewardship to existing donors, including writing reports, planning and hosting visits for key stakeholders that inspire them to continue to support St Giles, while also providing support to the Head of Voluntary Fundraising & Fundraising Manager with reports, due diligence procedures and applications where necessary.  Organising a small number of fundraising events per year and providing line management, supervision and coaching to a Fundraising Assistant is also a key element of this role.

What we are looking for

• A minimum of one year’s experience working in a charity fundraising environment

• Expert knowledge of the fundraising landscape

• Outstanding relationship-building skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels

• Excellent written and communication skills, with a proven ability to write compelling and informative copy for reports, applications and external communications

• Experience working with a CRM or fundraising database, preferably ETapestry 

• A flexible, collaborative and professional approach to your work.

The post holder will be fully involved in all aspects of the day to day management of their designated services, including line managing the relevant front line staff. You will lead and develop competence of direct reports as well as carry caseloads of customers requiring support. You will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure that the service delivers on all targets, both financial and those around the quality of the service as well as compliance with OFSTED standards.

What you'll do:

Lead and motivate your team to ensure the championing of and maintenance of a positive local culture within your service
Deliver effective supervision and team meetings with staff and ensure that information, reporting and communication
Responsible for the personal development of staff, identifying high performers and feeding into the organisations succession plans
Ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) required as part of the Contract are met and recorded correctly
Develop key business relationships with all appropriate relevant customers/external parties to ensure service delivery excellence and maximise new business opportunities in own patch
Participate in and monitor the initial and continuous assessment of needs and ensure that support planning is carried out in line with assessed needs of the customer
Carry out other administrative tasks as relevant to the service and directed by the Contract/Heads of Operations
Deliver an out of hours on-call service for region, where required
Ensure that all safeguarding cases are managed in line with safeguarding protocols and are reported to Service Manager/Head of Services, as appropriate
Ensure Look Ahead Health and Safety policies are adhered to at all times and to uphold all health and safety responsibilities within relevant policies and local protocols
Adhere to all the policies and procedures of Look Ahead Care, Support & Housing plus those specific to the project including any statutory requirements

Who we are looking for:

We are pleased to be able to offer an enthusiastic and experienced professional the opportunity to join our Evidence and Research Department. You will support the Head of Department in organisation wide strategic planning to ensure NAS outputs are evaluated using robust research methods that measure the impact of what we do.

You will manage researchers and be accountable for ensuring a consistent and quality assured approach to NAS evaluation research projects. We need someone who can ensure best practice research and evaluation methods are used in data collection, analysis and dissemination to co-produce impact reporting.  It will be essential that you support other NAS teams to use research and evaluation to measure the impact of their work and influence the future development of outputs and products.

Your focus will be to help to improve the quality of National Programmes and own services, and set standards for others by evaluating training, consultancy and accreditation products. You will directly manage a portfolio of evaluation research projects and coordinate the commissioning of individual projects to external evaluation partners, maintaining a schedule of work for next 3-5 years. 

This is a permanent full-time role working Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.
