The Role and Responsibilities
Blue Marine has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this newly created role, you will be the key link between the finance team and the wider organisation. You'll lead on our restricted fund budgets, working closely with project managers and department heads to ensure their accuracy, evaluate and communicate their performance and lead on the designing and structuring of new proposals. This role is extremely outwardly facing and requires somebody that thrives on working with others. You will work alongside another Senior Project Accountant who focuses on the key strategic grants within the organisation, and you will have one direct report.

In the past five years Blue Marine’s income and charitable expenditure has more than tripled, with work spanning 25 countries and involving over 200 project partners.
Supporting the Director of Finance, Operations & Governance (DFOG), you will:
· Be the key link between Finance and the wider organisation, providing high-quality analysis and clear communication through reporting and everyday interactions.
· Design, build and maintain budgets for cutting edge dynamic global projects.
· Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across Blue Marine’s wider teams, regularly meeting with around project managers to review budgets.
· Work closely with our project partners around the world, supporting them with budgeting, analysis and financial reporting. This may result in opportunities for international travel.
· Identify and flag potential queries (such as expected under/overspend, run rate, incorrect staff time allocations) to relevant colleagues.
· Line manage one direct report.
· Generate new ideas for process and efficiency improvements.
· Work closely with the fundraising team, providing their financial reporting to our donors and generating budgets for new proposals.
· Interpret and provide insightful analysis to enable effective decision-making processes across the senior management team.
· Maintain appropriate filing and assist in collation of evidence for annual audit.
· Tackle any other reasonable requests as required by the DFOG and wider organisation.
· Assist project managers with ad-hoc budget queries.

Skills and Experience required

Essential
· At least a part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CIPFA).
· Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
· Excellent written, numerate and verbal communications skills.
· Strong experience with budget management, ideally within a not-for-profit environment.

As the Supporter Engagement & Legacy Manager you will play a key role as we seek to reignite our legacy marketing programme and grow overall individual giving income to help ensure long-term support for those facing financial difficulty. You will be responsible for the project management and implementation of all supporter engagement activity, acquisition, and legacy marketing activities, ensuring all activity is optimised and campaigns include enhanced digital and social media content.
Reporting to the Co-Heads of Supporter Engagement and managing the Supporter Engagement Officer, you will develop a multi-year plan to rebuild legacy income and a pipeline of legacy supporters, including re-engaging the EFH care home staff and major donors.
You will be responsible for supporting the strategic direction, operational plans and effective management of Turn2us’s giving programmes from individuals including appeals, regular giving and legacies, maximising net income from new and existing income streams.
The successful candidate will have experience of managing direct marketing campaigns in a charity environment as well as proven ability to manage successful legacy marketing campaigns. They will have significant experience stewarding individuals and legacy supporters and be adept at communicating the impact of donations, as well as having line management experience. The ability to make a strong case for supporting Turn2us’ key areas of work is crucial, as is an aptitude for proactively increasing acquisition and retention rates.
The post holder will also be a self-starter who is comfortable building new strategies from a relatively small pool of supporters and is experienced testing different tactics to establish the best practice for Turn2us.

The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and build our Community and Events fundraising. We need a creative and enthusiastic individual to build a key audience of supporters dedicated to the difference Youth Options makes to
the lives of young people.
No two days will be the same, from support a fundraiser to reach their fundraising target to planning our annual fundraising events,presenting to local community groups to running a stall at the local carnival.
Responsibilities
Fundraising
- Raise income to support our fundraising strategy
- Research, recruit and support individuals to raise funds through their own fundraising events, challenges and competitions
- Design and run fundraising opportunities
- Motivate and encourage supporters to maximise income
- Ensure all funds are collected
Community Engagement
- Build up a dedicated supporter base to support Youth Options’ community programmes through events and networking.
- Develop our Community Champion Scheme
- Research local organisations and present our work to them to create lasting relationships.
Events
- Plan and run Youth Options led fundraising events such as our annual open day.
- Create new opportunities to run events that raise income and awareness
- Ensure all legal event requirements are fulfilled at any Youth Options run event
