Now, as we begin a new strategic direction, our case for support is more compelling than ever. It is an exciting time to be joining the charity - our new strategy, ‘Acting for Impact’, has a bold ambition to achieve meaningful change for the professional performing arts community - to help more people, in more ways - the Head of Fundraising will be central to achieving that.
This full-time role is based at our office in central London a minimum of three days per week, with some flexible working. The salary is within the range of £42,000 to £48,000, dependent on experience. Our Technical Knowledge team oversees Blue Ventures’ technical pillars (Secure Rights, Community-Based Fisheries Management, Food Security and Financial Inclusion) and supports the use of data for decision making, providing tools, training, and guidance to partners and Blue Ventures’ staff around the world. This team integrates expertise and deep practical experience with pragmatism and a desire to enable others to deliver lasting change, by distilling global best practices and knowledge into usable tools, appropriate training, and responsive guidance and support. The team is also responsible for delivering peer learning exchanges and knowledge sharing events both online and face to face across the organisation in addition to overseeing technical publications.
We are currently recruiting for an exceptional individual to be part of this global team, leading a critical pillar of the strategy on Food Security. This individual will oversee the Food Security function, including the development, refinement, and roll out of tools and training to support partners around the world as they establish initiatives targeting fish production, availability and affordability, to promote nutrition, food security and financial returns of fishers through assessments of the nutritional value of key fisheries, sustainable fisheries management, waste reduction initiatives, and interventions that increase the economic and nutritional value, as well as durability, of fish catch. The role entails leading an interdisciplinary and international team, with strong cross-functional collaboration. The Head of Programmes is a critical role for the organisation, responsible for ensuring DEC funded programmes meet programmatic standards, are fully traceable, routinely monitored and comply with organisational procedures and institutional donors’ requirements. In addition, the Head of Programmes is also appointed as the Serious Incident Reporting (SIR) Officer, serving as the first point of contact for member agencies to report incidents regarding safeguarding, financial misconduct and reputational risk.
Externally, the Head of Programmes liaises with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Senior Response Officers, UN OCHA, Charity Commission, Emergency Appeals Alliance, Member Agencies including Humanitarian Directors and in-country colleagues.
Key responsibilities:
Communication and Collaboration
- Key point of contact with member colleagues regarding programmes finance, adaptive programming and DEC compliance, facilitating timely and accurate communication.
- Contribute to DEC functional and advisory groups, Board sub-committee meetings and Board meetings including participation in Humanitarian Directors meetings.

Analysis and Reporting
- Provide oversight to the review and analysis of member charity appeal budget plans and financial reports with a focus on compliance with DEC policies and good practice guidelines to assess unusual variances and value for money considerations.

In L'Arche London, we are intentionally inclusive, bringing together those with and without learning disabilities, in our community of more than 100 people. One of the L’Arche UK communities, we’re re part of a federation that includes over 150 communities across 37 countries and 6 continents.
Our community includes over 30 people with learning disabilities, with lots of different support needs, who we support at home and in our workshops. Alongside them are dedicated community members, volunteers, friends and neighbours, all integral in fostering a warm and inclusive atmosphere. Our team of employed assistants provides further support and care to our core members.

Tax Justice UK (TJ-UK) has built momentum for progressive tax reform. Tax is high on the political agenda and the new government opens up space for a fairer tax system. Your role will be to use key political moments to win significant policy reform. You don’t need to be an expert in tax policy, but you do need to be hungry for change, and able to convince people in positions of power to listen to our messages and make changes.
Tax Justice UK has a track record of securing campaign wins, putting wealth taxes onto the political agenda and securing a number of manifesto commitments for our policy ideas. We have built strong relationships with politicians, advisors, policy makers and a network of influential think tanks and organisations. We also have excellent relationships with many influential media outlets, regularly securing extensive media coverage on tax justice issues. This role is part of a newly created external affairs team at TJ-UK. The team works on movement building, campaigning and political influencing.
We’re looking for a savvy political operator with a track record to achieve political change and a commitment to tax justice. You will be confident in shaping policy, building good working relationships across all political parties and a strong team player.

We are looking to recruit an experienced person-centred leader who is passionate about delivering services that make a difference to older people’s lives. We are looking to develop and broaden our prevention of loneliness, wellbeing and later life planning services and you will be key to this. You will have responsibility of maintaining a high level of service delivery with impressive outcomes. You will lead a team of staff with oversight of each service area, will be highly organised and able to make decisions and use your initiative. The role will also involve monitoring service processes, systems, and workforce capacity to enable us to identify areas for change and improvement.
The purpose of the role is to manage and deliver the day-to-day operations. Operating across three London boroughs. We want to reach more people, to help them to connect with others and build new opportunities, to be even more personalised in our approach, achieving better outcomes whilst also improving quality and user experience.
Areas of delivery currently provided by the service include: Good Neighbours service; Clubs, groups and activities; Dementia /CST activities, Digital Inclusion.
