Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and leadership

• Integrate and lead a newly formed Operations team that brings together the contact centre, customer due diligence, charity verification and payments teams, forming an integral part of Giving and Impact Services

 Policy and Process

• Own all Policies and Standards related to: Non-cash donations, Verification and Donor-Led Loans, including their regular review and improvement for better customer outcomes
• Challenge existing processes where they cause inefficiency or result in a poor customer experience, leading on the implementation of alternatives
• Work with the Transformation team to design and develop new systems and processes that improve the customer experience and are easy to manage

 Payment processing

• Lead the creation of a new, centralised distribution (payments) unit to create savings in processing time, workflow, cost and resource and deliver better customer outcomes

Due Diligence responsibilities

• Work with the General Counsel and Executive Director for Governance to strengthen the ‘First Line of Defence’ capability within Charities Aid Foundation (UK) 
• Accountable for the design and implementation of appropriate controls and processes to ensure they are compliant with internal policies and external regulation, in particular FCA for AML\KYC, HMRC and Charity Commission for gift aid and charity verification
• Accountable for the development and implementation of the Charity Verification policy, ensuring it meets internal policy requirements and those of external regulators such as HMRC and FCA

Job Purpose

To support, promote and deliver the strategy of World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (hereafter WAGGGS) within the Europe Region, by working with the Europe Regional Committee to ensure the delivery of the region’s value proposition to Member Organisations (MOs). To lead WAGGGS operations in the Europe Region, to ensure the effective liaison between the region and the wider organisation, and in partnership with national Member Organisations (MOs) and external partners, when applicable, to achieve the objectives of regional action plan.

Key Responsibilities:

1. In conjunction with the Regional Committee finalize, implement and monitor the 2025 Regional Action Plan to ensure the delivery of WAGGGS Global Strategy at a regional level.

2. Under the framework of WAGGGS Global Strategy, work in collaboration with the Regional Committee to develop the Europe Region Triennial Action Plan 2026- 2029 and a strong consultation process with Member Organisations to include the Europe Voluntary Contribution review.

3. In conjunction with the Head of Finance and the Regional Committee Chair to propose and develop a budget to deliver the Europe Triennial Regional Action Plan,and undertake the active monitoring and management of the regional budget.

4. To be the project lead for the European Volunteer Contribution Review team of Regional Committee and staff members.

5. In conjunction with the Regional Committee, and in consultation with the Head of Membership and Regional Support, to manage relationships with external stakeholders in the region.

6. In partnership with the Regional Committee, ensure the delivery of WAGGGS Europe Region regional events, in particular the 2025 WAGGGS Europe Regional Conference (Austria, July 2025) with responsibility for:

          • Strategic goals of the conference or event

          • Objectives of the event

          • Programme and content of the event

         • Recruitment and activation of volunteers to support delivery of the event

         • Liaise with event planning team to ensure appropriate logistical support for conference or event

The Coproduction Service Manager is responsible for the operational leadership of coproduction, involvement and engagement. This facility is for young adults aged 18 – 21 and is designed to help them so that they are better prepared for the challenges of living an independent adult life by developing their skills in learning, life and work. OTS is now focussed on extending the residential provision to 52 weeks. The Board of Trustees have a commitment to further enhancing and developing their residential houses and plans to build new educational facilities for the school.

Ochil Tower School is now looking for a Head of Care who will form a key part of the Leadership Team, working under a highly experienced and dynamic Executive Director.  The Head of Care would be effective in collaborating with the education team, parents and carers and a range of other partners to meet the needs of our children and young people. 

The Head of Care will liaise with members of the school community primarily but will link in with other residential schools and with other external agencies to ensure that the service remains responsive to need, is professional in approach and in line with National Care Standards, as well as Government initiatives regarding residential and day care for children and young people.  The successful candidate will undertake the day-to-day strategic leadership and management of the residential team and ensure effective systems are in place for policies, procedures and monitoring. You should have significant experience of working successfully in a leadership role with proven experience of leading and supporting the development and delivery of operational strategies and associated action plans.

About the Service User Network (SUN)

The SUN is an open access model of community-based facilitated group peer support for people experiencing complex emotional needs associated with complex trauma and/or a diagnosis of ‘personality disorder’. The SUN aims to help people develop effective ways of coping, reduce emergencies and improve access to appropriate services.

Those accessing the SUN may or may not have a formal diagnosis of personality disorder. Group members will have experienced longstanding emotional difficulties, isolation and may demonstrate patterns of behaviour that may not be helpful in the longer term.

About the Role

Fundamental to creating empowerment and engagement in the SUN Project is the therapeutic community principle, that the effectiveness of the service depends upon engaging group members in the task of running, delivery, development and evaluation of the service. The utilisation of SUN members’ own resources and expertise is integral to the SUN model of peer support.

SUN Facilitators will have their own lived experience of complex emotional needs associated with a diagnosis of ‘personality disorder’ and will be able to demonstrate their recovery journey. They will work closely with mental health practitioners from ELFT (East London NHS Foundation Trust) to deliver regular Service User Network (SUN) groups in different community-based locations in Bedford, Central Bedfordshire or Luton. Full training in the SUN model, and weekly supervision by a Psychotherapist / Psychologist, will be provided for all team members.

Facilitators will work to develop and support the therapeutic community principle of the SUN model and the effectiveness of the service through engaging group members in the task of running, delivery, development, and evaluation of the service. The utilisation of SUN members’ own resources and expertise is integral to the model of peer support upon which the SUN groups are based.

SUN facilitators will have regular supervision and support in this role along with appropriate training.

Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants is seeking a committed and motivated Head of Fundraising and Communications. Do you want to help refugees and asylum seekers in London? Do you have a strong track record of fundraising for charities? If so, this exciting opportunity may be for you. We are looking for someone who can manage corporate and community fundraising, develop events and write successful funding applications to trusts and other funding sources.  The role requires someone who is resilient, professional, self motivated with a strong work ethic and determination, attention to detail, the ability to make decisions and strong empathy for the clients we work with. 

About us:

At the Islington Centre for Refugees and migrants, we welcome people who have been displaced from their countries of origin, wherever they have come from, whatever has happened in their lives. Our mission is to offer people the emotional support, practical tools and sense of community they need to be happy and have a decent quality of life in the UK. We are a small, growing charity, founded in 1997, with an expenditure budget of roughly £570,000 for the year ahead. This year we worked with 200 people offering compassionate, long term and holistic support including: a warm welcoming Centre in Islington; an Online School teaching English and offering activities to promote wellbeing; digital inclusion; grants to people in destitution and our Support Service which offers advocacy and advice to people on accessing housing, healthcare and legal advice. 

About the role: 

The successful applicant will work alongside our Trustees, our CEO and our existing Head of Fundraising and Communications in a jobshare to meet challenging fundraising targets. You will be joining us at an exciting time of development, as we open at our third site in Islington, welcome new members of staff to our team and begin work on a new strategy for 2025-2028. We have a strong track record of grant fundraising and seek someone who can support us to diversify our income, develop a fundraising strategy with a variety of income streams and bring experience and ideas to raise our profile. You will be part of a small and highly committed fundraising team of three including the existing Head of Fundraising and Communications, our Fundraising Officer and yourself. This role will focus on corporate, community, and major donor stewardship. Our work is hybrid and the role requires working both at the Centre in Islington and from home. As the Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will play a pivotal role in supporting some of the most vulnerable refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in London to rebuild their lives.

We’re looking for a highly-skilled techy, people-person. Someone who loves to build, develop and problem solve with tech tools, while taking greatest satisfaction from seeing others succeed because of the help, support and encouragement you’ve given them.

You have strong confidence with CRM, data interpretation, manipulation and automation tools, alongside experience as a trainer or teacher. Combined with creativity and excitement for improving existing systems and building new ideas from the ground up.

What's the role?

As Head of Business and Data systems you will lead every aspect of our data and information management across a portfolio of platforms. 

Working to ensure they speak to each other in smart and powerful ways, all offering team members and company the most up-to-date and high quality insight into the needs, priorities and challenges of members of the We Are In Beta community.

How you’ll be driving our mission forward (your responsibilities)

A. 40% making our current business and data systems work really well

• Lead data management and consistency across all systems, including 

  • Automated and manual flows needed for business activities and reporting

  • Run and refine processes for data health of contact and company records

  • Review and consolidate CRM properties, processes and protocols

• Refine and add new automations to capture most useful data instantly and robustly

• Regular cycle of updates of DfE data on schools and trust performance and demographics

B. 40% develop, improve and build out current systems to be more powerful, robust and sharp

• Develop our new newsletter platform - combining all channels into one place

  • Manage migration of current audiences

  • Design process for adding and removing subscribers, with data flow between CRM and newsletter

  • Unlock power of analytics on who is opening, reading and sharing our messages the most vs the least

• Augment sales process with increased automation

  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline current processes

  • Automate routine steps where possible, maximsing face-to-face input for greatest return

• Iterate Airtable architecture to streamline data tools and increase robustness

  • Review of all DfE data held, processed and linked tables

  • Review back-up processes

• Research and deployment of wide-ranging new platforms/software that can supercharge how we work, maximising impact for our members and customers.

  • Explore options for eg data visualisation platforms for self-service access for members, member match-making, content hosting and discovery….plus many more.

C. 20% support the team to improve quality, efficiency and impact of how they use data and systems to succeed in their roles

• Provide training, support, and guidance to help the team achieve their data and CRM goals in the most effective ways possible.
• Understand the team's and individuals' working practices and pain points, offering improvements or hacks for using current systems, or recommending new systems that can help them achieve even greater success.
• Create email lists, campaigns, sequences, and workflows in collaboration with the team - whether handling the more complex tasks as commissioned work or acting as a guide, trainer, or enabler for straightforward ones.
• Build or update existing Airtable bases to consolidate member and school data for dedicated projects or programmes.
• Explore any and all methods to help the team leverage data to better understand, serve, and delight our members.

• Hubspot - for CRM, marketing, sales and subscription management

• Airtable - for data visualisation and manipulation, programme management and content libraries

• Mighty Networks - to host our online community

• Zapier - to automate connections between services and systems

• Substack - 2 weekly newsletters (with third starting this Autumn)

• Mail Chimp - 1 weekly newsletter

• Social Media - principally LinkedIn and Twitter

• G-suite - for email hosting, and all internal and external documentation

• Slack - for internal collaboration and messaging

• Xero - for accounting and invoicing

• Stripe and GoCardless - for payments

We also use a small number of scripts in Python to allow us to do more quickly and better. Principally focused on large data-set consolidation / pivots and file scraping.

What experience and track record do you have?

It’s not essential you tick every box. But the more boxes you can tick the better. It goes without saying, we can help you gain and learn from the experiences you haven’t had yet.

• Proven experience across CRM, databases, community/content platforms, newsletter distribution, integration and automation tools. This could be from previous roles such as data analytics, community building, digital marketing or business transformation.

• Comfortable with principles of coding in Python but no need to be a pro.

• Strong understanding of data management and GDPR requirements.

• Led digital transformation/change projects, with a strong approach to project management and stakeholder engagement.

• Designed and delivered training, and/or produced clear and concise written user guides, taking time to understand the needs and starting points of the team.

• Experience with management, analysis and visualisation of large-scale data sets - ideally in educational outcomes/performance.

• Experience of the realities of working for an early-stage organisation without a big team or huge budget. We are especially interested in those who have grown a tech team/function from the ground up.

Our expectation is that you have worked within the school education sector in England, though we are open to applicants who have not if you can show you have a good base of knowledge of the needs of school teachers and leaders.

About the Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our Bedford Mental Health Prevention service for adults which aims to improve people’s mental wellbeing, raise aspirations and enhance confidence.

As Service Coordinator you will be responsible for implementing working recovery models and coordinating the operational plans for the service to ensure that people are able to manage their mental health, move through their recovery journeys and achieve positive outcomes.

Along with coordinating service delivery to meet its aims, objectives and Key Performance Indicators, you will also line manage the service Recovery Workers and lead on recruitment, onboarding and management of volunteers in the service.

Additionally you will conduct assessments of individual’s suitability for the service, leading on more complex cases and guiding people through the range of available interventions that can support them to achieve the outcomes that matter to them.

In addition to managing the day-to-day delivery of the service you will also contribute to the direct provision of the service by leading and facilitating group sessions where needed and by offering informal 1-2-1 mental health and wellbeing support that reduces the chance that people will fall through gaps, be isolated and ensuring the right support and the right time that manages a range of needs.

You will lead opportunities to support events in the community to raise awareness of our services and to build links with local organisations and agencies.

You will need to be empathetic and deliver a person-centred approach in a non-judgemental way, collaborating with people to empower and engage them. SUN facilitators will have regular supervision and support in this role along with appropriate training.
